I've been trying to make it to the $10 piercing special for a while, but something always came up…read more-- maybe it was my intuition. When I finally made it in, the host at the door was super friendly, and so was my piercer, Heather. That said, I got the sense that she may still be learning. I had to guide her on where my belly piercing should go, which raised some concerns. I've had a belly piercing before, plus I've had two kids -- so my anatomy has changed. My previous piercing was lower, but after losing weight and toning up, I knew a higher placement was necessary. If I hadn't spoken up, the piercing would've been placed too low again. I really appreciated that Heather was kind and willing to listen, but it did leave me questioning if the final placement was truly ideal. I also made sure to ask what kind of jewelry would be used. I was told it was surgical steel, but based on how my body reacted, I seriously doubt that. I ended up going to a more reputable (but pricey) piercing shop for a second opinion. They confirmed the jewelry wasn't surgical steel and that it was also the wrong size for my body type. I'm glad I checked before things got worse or my body rejected it completely. Overall, this place might be okay for a quick, simple piercing like a nose ring. But if your anatomy is unique or you're looking for long-term quality, I'd suggest going elsewhere -- especially for something like a navel piercing.

Went on Monday to get my nose pierced. Very nice experience. My piercing was done by Devo. He is so…read morecool and laid back. I was nervous and he could tell. He was real patient and made sure to explain the process. Now he was real quick with the piercing. I mean literally deep breath in and once I exhaled he was done. The pain wasn't that bad on a scale of 1-10 I would say it was a 4.5 and lasted for a few mins. I think we were in the shop for a total of 10 mins and the cost was only $30. Now fast forward to Saturday...the damn stud got caught on the cover and ripped out. By it being so tiny I could not find it. I was in panic mode. I texted Devo and he said not to worry. Went in today per his request and he put in a new ring He didn't have to use the needle he used the little pole looking thing what the jewelry goes in. Now this time the pain was a 10. I told my husband if it come out again that's it. All in all it was a good experience. Will be going back not for piercing but to freshen up some ink. Oh yea the other guy in their Chris he was real cool too.

BEWARE OF THIS SHOP - ZERO STARS IS MORE APPROPRIATE!!!…read more *** Reposting this review after being asked to remove it by the owner who said he would make it right & didnt *** I walked into this shop asking for a dainty fine line flower on my hand.. I should've followed my first instinct and ran, while being tattooed by the artist Bell.. First off his son was running around in the room so he was distracted & in a rush to get to the next client... i told him before i left i didn't like the tattoo, he shaded the petals of the flower so the tattoo was to dark & looked nothing like the pic. He suggested i let it heal & it would lighten up... still doesn't fix the fact is looks nothing like what i wanted... I left the shop, called hoping to speak with the owner and got the same artist who again reiterated that he would not give me a refund and that I had to let the tattoo heal.. Later That day the tattoo started leaking from under the plastic. I texted the artist who told me just to wipe it off, That it was fine. The tattoo leaked all night And I was finally instructed by a doctor to remove the plastic. At which point it did stop leaking but the tattoo is horrible, out of line in areas, shaded when it shouldn't be & is not what i asked for. The next day i called and I asked to speak with the shop manager or the owner, but not until I posted my original review Did anyone contact me. Once Elizabeth reached out she agreed to give me a refund & offered to cover the tattoo once it was healed. The refund I wanted, however I don't want anyone from the shop tattooing me I wanted that specific tattoo and I don't want anything covering it.. When i voiced that to the owner & Elizabeth, I was told the only way I could get the refund is if I allowed them to cover it. I told them that I wasn't following that logic and that I just wanted my money back, i've already made an appointment to have the tattoo removed .. They told me again I couldn't get a refund unless I did the cover-up Which is a bizarre business practice and makes no logical sense. After i vocalize my dissatisfaction with being forced to get another tattoo in order to get my refund they stopped responding. So now I am reposting this review to make everyone aware to not visit this shop to get Ink coming from someone who is covered in Tattoos, The entire experience at the shop has been a nightmare!! Now i'm left with this ugly tattoo or out of pocket more money to have it removed & redone!! Moral of the story - go to big time customs down the street if you want ink !!! Steer clear of this place !!!

Shop: super clean, well constructed, good flow, lots of natural light and well lit inside,…read moreminimalist interior and quiet area outside that feels safe for me and my car parked behind the building. Staff: Lupe, my artist, was perfectly responsive, open to ideas and changes, downpayment was easy to make (venmo for me but other options available). My tattoo artist, Rachel was a vibe. Super calm, methodical and patient as I wanted to increase the size of the tattoo after the first stencil placement was down. Very supportive in the decision to redo and wanted me to feel comfortable with the design size and placement. She is such a gem. Would recommend for tight lines, shading, floral work and script. Shouts out. Safety: gloves were worn at all times by the artist, spray bottles were bagged appropriately, ink was dispensed appropriately into small containers and lubricating gels on to single use wooden sticks, steel tray for all supplies was covered in a plastic barrier. Lidded garbages were used. Saran wrap used for a 3 hour barrier after completion and A&D appointment was provided for aftercare. Artist confirmed Blood Borne Pathogen training was taken annually. Environment: inviting, positive, relaxing, chill, clean, well lit, supportive, easy going. Overall: great experience and I'm glad my trust landed in the hands of this shop for a one off tattoo. Price was right. $280 for 2 hrs of needlework not to mention the predesign and communication over text up until I was in the chair. I contacted the shop 26 hrs prior to tattoo design, downpayment, redesign and then sitting in the chair to get a badass tattoo. These people are professional and serious with their art and image. I went to them for the last friday the 13th and the process was a little confusing and very long (as is expected) but ultimately I got a lovely tattoo at a discounted rate and only had to sit on the floor for a couple of hours. Yesterday I went back to them for another friday the 13th... the positives: - check in was smooth - they upgraded their waiting process so you could leave the shop - flash sheets were nicely organized when you arrived to the shop the negatives: -Flash was not posted at the start of ticket sales -Entirety of flash was not available on their instagram or eventbrite (where they sell tickets for the event) -flash pricing tiers were not communicated clearly online -texting service was NOT utilized to provide any helpful communication all in all this will be my LAST friday the 13th with atlanta ink. We arrived in shop at 8:15 to check in for our 8pm-12am ticket slot. We returned to the shop at 11:45 after hearing nothing to be informed they'd be closing the shop at 12am and that we could come back anytime during the month to receive our tattoos. I respect them allowing their artists to rest, but incredibly frustrating that this was not communicated any sooner. I spoke to someone who checked in at 7:45 and was also not tattooed for the same slot. texted communication about the store closing at midnight was sent out at 12:23. No apology was made either. Beyond upset that a system promised to notify us of our slot 30-45 minutes in advance couldn't be any quicker with reaching out about being oversold on a capped ticketed event. they kept my money so i'll be going to get my tattoo sometime this month but after that, i'll be seeking better businesses to support.
