    My tattoo

I wanted to get a lip tattoo and my friend went here and got it for $100. Every place I called in Atlanta was asking for around $150 so I ended up coming here. When I asked they wanted to charge me $150 but I ended up negotiating for $140 (still not good). The first thing I noticed walking in was that they required cash which I found a bit odd. The picture below with the red nails is the picture I showed for inspo. He agreed to do it and walked me into the room. I noticed how almost nothing had protection. The table/bed he wanted me to lay on had no plastic and his work table also had no protect. The only protection I saw were the gloves he was wearing. There was no prep for my tattoo except putting paper towels in my mouth to stop and drooling. This wasn't a big red flag for me because I don't know anything about prepping lip tattoos. When he placed the tattoo on my inner lip I noticed how it wasn't as far in my mouth as I had imagined. I just told myself he's a professional so he knows what he's doing. The tattoo itself didn't hurt at all and was super quick which i appreciated. When he showed me the finished result I thought it was fun and I walked out feeling somewhat satisfied. Personally it didn't bother me that the letters themselves didn't look like the photo because I went into this doing it for fun and trying to find the cheapest option. However if I wanted the letters to look like the photo I would have never gone to a tattoo shop with a random artist. When I got to my car and really look at it I realized that my tattoo was visible from the outside side of my mouth. When my mouth was slightly open or talking you could see the ink. When I got home I immediately start panicking because the entire point of a lip tattoo is for it to be hidden. For context I have 2 other tattoos on my body that I absolutely love so this wasn't just me freaking out because I haven't gotten one. Overall my experience was not good and I do not recommend going here.

I got a salamander it looks good after the tattoo healed a l little bit. A little deep but I told him to go deep so it's my fault hahaha

As usual I'm random with my outing and this place was never on my radar. My friend and I were just walking and I suggested we go to Long Island ink for tattoos and piercing. I got a belly piercing by Chucky! He's very personable and knowledgeable of what he does! I got a belly piercing and it was very painless! Chucky instructed me when to breathe during the process, which out of all the piercing I have, I have never been given! I did not scream during the process nor am I in pain. I definitely recommend Chucky for any of your future piercing! My friend got a tattoo of a heart on her forearm by Omar! Omar was kind to my friend and educated her about the tattoo she wanted since this would be her official first real tattoo! The prices for my piercing was $50 and her tattoo cost $400. Which I think was fair. Definitely recommended!

So yesterday was a first for me. For the first time I was tattooed by a woman. After getting some touch up work, new work, and some lettering I can confidently say it was hands down the best experience I've ever had. Janice touched the ribbon and then laid down the thorn around it. Janice is the artist who laid down my ink. She is fantastic. She is chill. She is super knowledgeable. Janice is crazy talented. I left planning my next tattoo. If you are considering getting any work done you need to check this place out. The prices are competitive, but honestly the work Janice is doing at Long Island Ink Atlanta is worth top buck.

I'm not from Atlanta, nor Long Island, but I felt at home. They really made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I was visiting from California and decided to drop in to make a memory. Janice did an awesome job, she treated me like a queen (pun intended). The place was clean and professional. Thanks again, everyone at Long Island Ink for a great time!

The piercer was quick, gentle, and precise -- the placement was perfect, and I've had no issues since. During that first visit, I also fell in love with their jewelry selection. I had been on the hunt for unique, exotic nose rings, and Kolo definitely delivered. Yes, their pieces are a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and variety are absolutely worth it -- 10/10 every time. The receptionist is one of my favorite parts of the experience. She has amazing energy, always gives thoughtful suggestions, and shares her personal experiences in a way that makes you feel heard and cared for. The bald guy that works there is also really cool -- calm, professional, and always pleasant on the phone. What I love most about Kolo is that they truly know their craft. They take anatomy seriously and won't pierce you unless it's the right placement for your body. That type of honesty and expertise is rare. I recently made the mistake of stepping out for a $10 belly ring special somewhere else... and it went south fast. I came back to Kolo, and they saved the day. We wanted to get fine line Star Wars themed tattoos -- we provided the image and they advised to make the image a little bigger so the lines won't look shriveled over time. We agreed with their recommendation and got to the table with not much of wait. Everyone was very inviting, the place itself looked really cool and eclectic. I immediately thought of coming back for a flash deal if we were ever in town again! Very clean, very sterile, and very friendly -- so why one less star?? Unfortunately both our fine line tattoos have faded by the end of the week. The pressure didn't feel deep enough for either of us and the line work is VERY light. We already want them touched up but since we're not from the area, we'd have to find another artist. BUT that shouldn't take away fully from the good experience! Maybe if we weren't leaving to the airport after this, we would've been able to speak up and say to go a smidge thicker. Or perhaps we should've visited in the beginning of our trip so we can return for touch ups at the end of our trip after the first couple of days of healing. Not sure. But still good vibes here!

Highly recommend for anyone wanting ink in Atlanta or anywhere else. I'd travel in a second for his talent!!

I saw the owner of Memorial, Phil Colvin, for my fine line/color/floral/watercolor tattoo…read more I was assured that Phil (w/ 35 years of experience as a tattoo artist) had the abilities & experience to handle this particular style. I provided Phil with a design in the initial consult and a (slightly edited, but essentially the same), design via email a week before the tattoo date. I also brought the image to the actual tattoo appt. Phil is a very nice guy, and owns a clean and professional establishment. He clearly has many years of experience as an artist. While I receive many compliments on the end result, I felt very frustrated during the process with the following: 1.) He added black outlines to a tattoo with very little black outlining (design had it only around the daisy). I found this out the hard way, as I had my eyes closed at the start to manage pain & was trying hard not to move. I didn't realize he had done it until I asked "What are you working on right now? I'm trying so hard to be still for you, that I'm having to keep my eyes shut." I have read much online about the topic of black outlining, and the responses are a mixed bag. 2.) His colors (the shade of green on the leaves, etc.) often did not match the original 3.) He did not choose-- or was not able-- to include the level of detail that the original design represented 4.) He made some other minor artistic decisions that were different than the original (ie: the shading on the daisy). 5.) A couple (not all) of the watercolor marks on original design did not turn out well, and I had to return 2 weeks later to get them covered up with leaves. I spent another $200 going back to Phil to get the small corrections made. In general, if any tattoo artist feels they cannot or do not want to accurately transfer design --- body (or feels that a specific element will not transfer as well), they should COMMUNICATE that to the customer. Something to the effect of, "I see that the design you provided doesn't have much black outlining. I think that black outlining is important because of ______ reason. Therefore, I am going to recommend that we do_______." Two-way communication is critical to the process of getting something permanently inked onto your body. He also was dismissive of the tattoo artist that I hired independently to do the design (a Germany based woman who does freelance design work, through fiverr.com). He said, "She just probably grabbed these photos of flowers off the internet; she's clearly not a tattoo artist." Which couldn't have been further from the truth!

I got a double nose piercing; two on my right nostril and he made the process fast and held conversation to take my mind off him basically stabbing me in the nose twice lol. I love the placement of them being side to side and he used this measuring tool to check his spacing. I was in and out of there in under 20 mins with paperwork, getting my license copied, paying, picking jewelry, piercing, and the aftercare talk. Clean studio, smells of incense not smoke like a previous review I saw stated. I came in on a Tuesday they do half off select piercings. Picked out two little studs 2 for $40 but if you want the basic traditional studs it's 2 for $20. All in all I'm highly satisfied with how I was serviced and I'll be back when I heal up to possibly change to a hoop. Or get a new piercing. Parking isn't the best. It's just a driveway bc this used to be a house. They could definitely use better parking as the main road is hella busy I had to turn my hazard lights on as I moved my car to let someone out who was there before me.
