Hi I just want to say that I love kolaches and i am so glad there is a location in Virginia. Unfortunately I am just visiting town so I have only had the opportunity to come twice. And both times and I have received terrible service. Whoever served me happened to serve me both times and both times gave me super low effort service and would not restock the wall and repeatedly told me kolaches were not available even though the people in front and behind me got them with different servers. To the point where we were denied a flavor at the desk just to go through the drive thru and get the exact flavor we were asking for 2 minutes earlier. I wish she would care more about customer satisfaction and be willing to just look to see what kolaches were available instead of giving bare minimum effort becomes it comes across as lazy and careless. There was only one guy behind the counter, and he was super calm considering the line was long and very slow. He was also manding the drive through, so we all were very patient. They're on Independence Blvd and when you drive up there's a drive thru. There were 4 cars in the drive thru waiting, but no one was inside. So we went in. They were both very informative and helped us decide on what to order and also gave us recommendations!! I got the polish dog kolache, potato egg and cheese kolache, and the chicken florentine croissant. My mom got the bacon and cheese kolache and a brisket kolache. They will heat them up for you as well. They were out of alot of flavors so there wasn't much to choose from. But still enough options to find something. The polish dog and chicken florentine were my favorite. The dough was not buttery or anything special, but it went well with the polish dog. I do wish it had cheese inside because it was dry. But I still enjoyed it. The chicken florentine croissant was delicious. It wasn't completely filled inside, but it was still filling. I'd definitely get those again. The potato egg and cheese one didn't really have much cheese, but it had good flavor. My mom enjoyed her brisket one the most. It had a sweet bbq sauce. My order was about $16 for 3 items, not bad but still a little pricey since they aren't completely full. The service was good. Our order was ready pretty quickly and I like this place. This was my first visit to Biscuit Belly. It got off to a rough start, as the young man behind the register (African American, Pinkish Red hair) appeared disinterested. Now for everything else which was a definite 5 star experience. The food was tremendous! Plentiful servings, great atmosphere, and a pleasant and attentive staff (with the exception of Red/Pink Haired guy). The lady that brought the order out from the kitchen was beaming with pleasantries, and had a great attitude. The biscuits were huge, and very tasty. The cup sizes for drinks were a bit small, which created the need for more trips to the drink station. Definitely will be going back. For a first impression, the person taking orders at the register missed the mark, and set a bad impression for my first visit, but the rest of the team and the food quality quickly erased that part of the experience from my mind. I'll start with the good: Kolache are good. We ordered 8 different kinds and mostly good taste. Loved the taste of the bread and the moisture level but some of the food inside some was pretty dry. We asked them to be heated up but because they pack them all in a box before they heat them they weren't actually heated up. Coffee: AWFUL! I saw other reviews that forwarded us and we should have listened. Can't even describe what it tastes like but definitely not a latte. Customer Service: as someone else stated, they're not rude ... but definitely bored and not happy to be there. Makes you question management/ownership when employee moral is so low.
