Found Koko's on Yelp while on a search for a kebab place that also had babaganoush. Called for a pick up order for dinner and ended up ordering the babaganoush and one of their specials that we found on their website: a "Deal for Four." It was perfect for our group of three with a bit left over for lunch the next day. The Deal for Four includes three skewers of chicken breast, four skewers of Lule kebab, grilled tomatoes, onions mix, pita bread, pickled veggies, garlic paste, rice, an order of hummus, and one order of house salad. Food was ready in 15 minutes after I called. Food was delicious and such a great value! Babaganoush was perfectly smoky with a consistency closer to hummus than I've had in the past, but it was great. The chicken was juicy (I'm always wary of dried out chicken), and the lule had a perfect balance of beef/lamb. Sometimes lamb can be overpowering in mixtures, but this was just right. Rice was good, though not long grain, which was a little disappointing but the the flavor quickly made me forget. Garlic paste was not as thick as I'm used to but it still packed a lovely punch, and the pickled veggies were a lovely balance with all the other flavors going on. Bomb Food! Awesome customer service, all of their middle eastern food tastes very close to home. The flavors the spices are just perfect. Portions are getting smaller but that's thanks to Joe Biden and the prices are getting higher which is also thanks to Joe Biden. I love Lebanese-Armenian cuisine, and these guys make it well. They also have dishes such as Arayes-Maria (pine-nuts & minced meat, no tomato) and more unusual things such as Chikofta (raw beef tartar). But a real stand-out is the trio, which includes hummus, moutabal, and muhammara, which I love. The kebabs are also amazing, all really tender, and often served with a buttery rice. I hate coming to a place where I feel soo out of place. Everyone there was Middle Eastern and we were the only two Asians in there. It took a little longer for them to service us but maybe it was because there was a huge group in the restaurant. They were still friendly despite the fact. Anyways, on to the food. I had the combo plate - chicken lule and beef. You have your choice of rice or fries. (see picture posted) It was a lot of food. I was surprised that their rice was not basmati (but jasmin) but I chose fries since I had plenty of pita bread to feast on. :) Overall it was okay. Nothing to go crazy about. We were walking up to the door to go in as was the server and he didn't hold the door open, just squeezed though, we walk in and he had an attitude of what do you want. Very good lunch. The chicken was well prepared and very tender and juicy. The hummus tasted home made and delicious. Ask for the "Steve" salad. They'll know what you mean. Amazing, fresh, quality Middle Eastern food... Luckily, this is my boss' favorite place to take our department on the limited occasions we go out. His favorite is the hot, steamy, buttery rice. My favorites are the pita with hummus, and pickled vegetables. For my entrée, I like to get the chicken breast kabob plate, or the combo (beef & chicken) kabob plate. Their seasoning is different and very delicious. It comes with lots of traditional sides, and you'll most likely have something to take home. Their lunch prices are a little steep (~$14), but they serve big portions, and the food is top notch. I love to come eat for lunch, but I really love to when the bill is sponsored by my boss. Note: I'd say stick to lunchtime here, because I noticed a bullet hole in the south-facing wall, and you know what they say... The creeps come out at night!
