We always pass by this place and it always smells so good so today we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because they cook the meats fresh after you order. We got the lamb chops, beef lula and chicken lula plates. The presentation is nice, the salad was properly salted and aside from the meat, the rice is my favorite part, it was so delicious. The meats are pretty tender too. I would also like to say how nice the staff were! They gave us their house tomato sauce to try which was so delicious paired with their hummus. I love this place but today I was very dissatisfied when I called to place an order for pick up; a woman answered the phone and very rudely told me she was busy and to call back in 5 mins. I always come here specifically when my family visits me. We order food to go or sometimes eat here. Yesterday on my birthday they were so warm and even provided a creatively plated long grain rice with a candle on it. I will give the thought ans gesture a 10. They played a birthday song and many of them sang as well. They plated our orders family style and the simplicity of it added a fair of warmth and a spirit of celebration. We've been in search of a new kabob spot since original kabob factory shrunk down their portions. Sam's has great reviews and is much closer to home, so we finally tried it out and we were impressed! Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned well. My husband and I both got the beef shish kebab plate and the meat was tender and flavorful. Hummus was also on point. We also tried the potato skewers which was good, but nothing special. The only things I would charge are very minor: More lavash bread and swapping out that jalapeno for the more traditional Anaheim pepper. I'm sure jalapenos are just cheaper so that might be why. I drive here from LA because it is the best restaurant of its kind. It's by far the best kebab and bbq I've had in a very long time. They grill it outside so it hits you fresh. I will never eat at any other kebab place again so long as this restaurant is open. Also, it's refreshing to have Armenian style rather than Arabic or Persian. The guy behind the counter was yelling and belittling a disabled person witha a service animal. Best new find in LA. I was driving in the area and my kids saw a man coming kebabs on the sidewalk. They begged us to go there for lunch and I'm SO glad we did.
