Chris Fine is the total opposite - nice, wise-seeming old Asian owners in a tiny, tiny shop. Instead of entering your info into a computer system or even taking your phone number or name, the guy just gives you a slip with a number -- I was skeptical, since 9 times out of 10 at a big dry cleaners I lose/forget my slip. I managed to hold onto it, though, and was rewarded with some excellent dry cleaning -- Chris Fine got out blood, sweat, and wine stains much better than Royal White did (really, don't worry about what I do while wearing dress shirts) and turned my dropoff around just as quickly. Not quite as cheap and paper-only accounting takes it down to 4 stars from 5, but it'll definitely be my new local go-to dry cleaning place.

I was searching for years, literally, for a tailor who I could trust to do great work at reasonable prices. I've had a lot of clothes ruined by crappy tailors. The fellow has been tailoring for over 50 years (I kid you not!) and has such an excellent understanding of fabric, drape, shape. This compares to other local tailors who have 5-10 years experience. His eye for style and fit is complemented by his wife's perspective- if you get something tailored, make sure both are there to give input. The only catch is that about 10% of the time an alteration may not be ready at the agreed upon date. Plan accordingly- it's worth it. I'd been "saving up" my clothes that need alterations for years before finding this team, and have now spent at least $350 on over 25 pieces in the past year. Every penny was worth it- now my clothes fit brilliantly!!!

do not waste your time!! destroyed my burberry skirt and ripped me off!!i dropped off a brand new…read more burberry skirt fesh out if the box , and i needed simple alterations ( taken on at the wait and shortened). the owner advised that it would take about a week and i asked me what day i needed the item back by (which was exactly a week to the day -as i needed the item to take on holiday). when i called for pock up kim confirmed a time to pick up i got there and she made me wait 2 hours to make the adjustments and had me try in the item numerous times in between. she startes qorkong on my piece the same day. as a result she destroyed my skirt beyond repair and did such a poor sloppy job! and still charged me $150 after waiting my tome and desteoyinh my item do not go here find somewhere else.

To Whom It May Concern: I have had the great pleasure of knowing Kim Pham, being her customer, and collaborating with her on fashion projects and business development since 1998. She is the most talented and brilliant fashion designer I have had met to date, from my experience a both an entertainer, producer, and educator in the entertainment industry, and from my lineage that includes my grandfather, who served as a chief tailor and upholsterer for the King of Morocco and worked as a tailor till well into his 70s. In 1998 after stopping by her former Chinatown store, seeing her high level of craftsmanship and style, and meeting Kim and liking her as a person too, I immediately decided to commission Kim to create a special double-sided Kung Fu / Wushu silk suite for me to use for National & International competitions and for daily practice. This decision proved to be an excellent one - The suite I had designed was made so well that it has lasted me to date, turned many heads in competitions all over the country, and received many compliments for it's blend of traditional and modern Kung Fu styles. This resulted in several martial arts schools ordering suites from Kim, and I personally purchase two more Kung Fu outfits from her, that receives accolades in competitions and demonstrations alike. In the summer of 2000, I established a large Latin, Jazz, and Folkloric dance company in Boston, and Kim created the lovely wardrobe for our Latin dance pieces, based on my designs and those of the co-director of our company. The quality, durability, and beauty of her work is a lasting tribute through videos of our performances and the memories of the audience members who saw them. Kim's ability to design and make cloths in both the full array of Asian styles and in Western, European, African, and South American styles, both traditional and modern, is clear and pronounced! In April 2001 I was fortunate to again collaborate with Kim, this time as the producer and artistic director a her 10 Year Anniversary Fashion Gala & Banquet at Empire Garden Restaurant in Chinatown. The show, viewed by a distinguished and international audience of 500, including the Mayor of Boston, was a resounding success, setting the bar very high for multi-facetted fashion gala, and featuring close to 80 models and performers, dance & martial arts demonstrations, and lavish collections of designer cloths from traditional to modern, casual to formal, petit to large, and young to old, over the course of our ~3 hour program! This collaboration further introduced me to Kim's wonderful network of clients and supporters (who continue to make a difference in my life), and the gala was a fitting tribute the Kim, a one-of-a-kind talented, hardworking, and generous designer, who built her way up from modest roots in Vietnam. I have since continued to collaborate with Kim Pham and her staff at Kim's Fashion Design and help her vision grow, and her designs blossom.
