I had a very good experience at this store. For one it is so organized and clean. I was looking at some outdoor items that were on clearance. One of the items was a display so it wasn't priced. I found a sales associate named John. He was busy filling online orders. He immediately stopped and gave me all his attention. He got the price carried my stuff to the front. He even made sure I got the extra discount for the display! Jae was my cashier and she informed me of other discounts I was unaware of! Nice people. Made my day! read more

I was REALLY looking forward to this Kohl's. I LOVE KOHL'S. I've been counting down the days ever since I saw the "Coming Soon" sign go up. Unfortunately, it pretty much sucks. Oh, it's nice and new and clean and everyone is helpful...but it's honestly the tiniest one I've ever seen and consequently the selection is super limited. SUPER. Which really sucks when you're used to a store at least DOUBLE if not TRIPLE the size. And of course since it's a new store, they have none of the great Clearance rack deals that I love (but I'll give them a pass on that at the moment). If you really want to go, I'd give it time for the Grand Opening brouhaha to settle down...when I was there a week after they opened, the checkout lines were wrapped around half the store--and there was NO way I was standing in a line that long to buy something that was still, honestly, overpriced (even with their "sale" and my 30% off coupon, I could get it cheaper via Amazon--but I would have bought it for the convenience factor if the lines were normal). I'm glad Jacksonville is growing and getting new businesses...but this one was disappointing. read more

I could easily spend a couple of hours in Kohl's browsing around. This store is clean, and each time I come here the staff has been great. Even during the holidays, when retail employees tend to get worn down. Not here, everyone was still very friendly when shopping and checking out. The selection is OK, depending on what I'm looking for. Kohl's seems to be mistaken for a discount type retail store, which it is not. Though it is not 'higher end', it's is definitely not a discount store either. If you are on a budget, as I try to stick to one, then you have to be savvy and look for the coupons or deals, and don't forget to use your Kohl's cash. They are always prompt to ask if I would like to apply for a Kohl's card here. I'm only noting on this topic because I see it is a high complaint - this is something that the employees in retail are told to do by their management teams. Old Navy is just as bad. The rule of thumb, usually in retail, is that after being asked 7 times a customer will usually cave and get the card. Sometimes the employees are offered an incentive for x-number of sign ups. While I know this is annoying to us customers, I do not blame the employees. They are just doing their jobs, and it's one of those grisly parts of retail. I do enjoy shopping here, and making a return has also been painless with their courteous staff. read more

I've never been to a Kohls before, but i have heard the stories of how big and how you can find great deals here from my wife and mother in law. I went in today with my wife and kid (shes a toddler). As we were walking in there were three workers lined up side by side holding writing pads with papers. My wife tried to walk on by undetected hoping they wouldn't ask us to open up a store credit card. thankfully they didn't, Instead one gentlemen asked us if we needed a cart to stroll our daughter around which was nice. Thanks for the customer service. So me an my wife were browsing around the store and lo and behold we were surprised and how fast it took us to go around the whole store. Its not as big as we thought it would be. I went looking for a fitting room after my wife helped me pick out some shirts, and BAM! i walk in and there were women inside of the Men's fitting room. I went back out to check and there were no male/female signs so i assumed it had to be coed. No problem but it would have been a good idea to put a male/female sign up to show its coed. This Kohls has electronic signs that show the Sales price of the items. I thought this was pretty cool as it also shows you the regular price and the sales price. The only bad thing is that it was hard to tell what item was on sale because some of these electronic signs did not specify the item that was on sale. Overall, the place was nice and clean, the staff was friendly, and from the prices we saw they had some good deals. I would definitely go back to this place to check out the prices. read more

Kohl's is not a place to come for a discount or trying to find it cheaper, but with Burlington Coat Factory next door with about 10 suit jackets, and then coming to Kohl's and with the amazing selection they have, I have found my spot for suits and shirts. read more

While their selection of day to day clothing rates above par in this town, their lack of selection for suits is exceptionally sad. Their are other brands aside from chaps for suits and if your going to charge almost 200.00 for a suit at least throw in a tie or alteration or something. Aside from that they have quality clothing its not a dillards or macy's but if you need to clothes shop this woukd be on the list of places to stop in and look. read more

Just walked into this store 5 minutes before closing (didn't know what time they closed) and there was a female inside the entrance pretty much guarding the entrance and then a male very rudely told me they were closing in 4 minutes. Although I could have grabbed what I needed and been out I decided to leave since that's what it appeared they wanted. One store I won't visit again. read more

I went in here the other day because I had received a coupon in the mail for $10 off anything in the store. I DID need a new candle and I know that Kohl's has Yankee candles so I went to buy one and save myself $10. As SOON as I walked in the door there were 2 ladies waiting to greet me and then ask me, before I'd even had a chance to get my son in a cart, if I had a Kohl's credit card and if I'd be interested in applying for one. Uh, no. I don't shop at Kohl's enough to need a credit card so I politely declined and set off to find a candle. After smelling 12 different Fall inspired candles I found one that I liked. I put it in the cart and went to proceed the check out process. That's when the cashier asked me about my status on having a Kohl's credit card and gave me a very long sales pitch about it the ENTIRE time it took her to ring up the candle. After I'd already told her I didn't need one, she kept right on going, convincing me that I did in fact need this Kohl's credit card and put the application in my bag. So, that was my experience. I was hounded about getting a credit card and I was able to get out of there with just a candle. Other than that, the store was laid out like every other Kohl's I've ever been in. read more

I was excited to hear we were getting a Kohl's. I've never been in one before, but I see a lot of ads about how great the prices are etc. The prices were ridiclously high. I must have needed coupons to enjoy deals. I was asked three times before I left the store if I wanted a credit card, and even when I said no, they continued to try and push it. I don't like that. No means no, not maybe or tell me more. The store was very clean and beautifully decorated. I like how organized everything was. The prices are just not my cup of tea. read more

I love Kohl's but I hate this one. It is the SMALLEST one I have ever been to. Talk about a disappointment when moving to Jacksonville. I was so excited to see that the new area I moved to had one and then was let down by the size, lack of selection, and bland and slightly rude cashiers. The only reason I gave it two stars is because I love the Kohl's brand, just not this location. read more
