Absolutely love this salon! We've been going here for almost 5 years. The cliental we observed on our last visit range from children to seniors. The atmosphere has changed tremendously since we began coming there. The new manager Eddie was constantly interacting with customers & employees. Everyone seemed happy & helpful. Totally getting feel of a boutique salon in a corporate setting. Recommended great products. Our daughters & myself love our haircuts, color, & highlights. Definitely recommend giving it a try. When with the wife to the mall and went through this store. Found great deals on men's coats, shirts, and pants. Corduroy sport coat for less than $70. So besides the mall being an unconstitutionally gun free zone not a bad place. Meanwhile a criminal walks in to the mall knowing all the lawful citizens inside are unarmed and both mall security officials are nowhere to be seen. Great job violating my constitutionally guaranteed and inalienable right to self defense. read more

So, I'm grateful that they were able to take me as a walk-in and I'm thankful that their was a sale of $10 for wash and blowout...BUT THAT'S ALL. I wanted specific type of blowout with minimal products in my hair and a deep condition. The deep conditioning part was amazing. I even liked how my hair felt after the wash was completed. However, as soon as the hairstylist trying to blow dry my hair, I knew she did not know how to blow dry hair. The way she was blonde drying my hair was all wrong. It wasn't even the professional way of blow drying and polishing. When I looked at myself in the mirror with the final product I decided not to say anything but thank you. Sometimes just writing our view is better than starting a confrontation and not knowing how the person would react with your response. I ended up paying for the service because I didn't want to go into detail on what I did not like. I ended up going to KOi Hair Salon where Chrissy fixed the mess that was made. I'll post pictures of what JC Penny did and what Koi fixed. For those that are not familiar with hair, my hair, you may think that all the pictures look the same. However, with the JCPenney style, the money that I spent would've been wasted within two days because of humidity, as well as hair oil. It wouldn't have lasted for as long as I wanted it to. You can already see that they did not pull out all the curls for my hair. Koi Hair Salon made my hair bouncy, shiny, and feel healthy. Hey have a back to school 10 dollar deal that was awesome. Great haircuts and styles. Kids happy. Did have to remind both stylists to keep masks above their noses, and one (not ours) had hers down the entire time. 4 stars only because of masks. Otherwise would had been 5. Will go back. read more

I went to the Salon last Sat, for a foil wrapped bleach and then a toner. She did not leave the bleach on long enough for it to take. Only the very front turned the ash blond that I requested and the whole back is a different darker color, I look ridiculous. I feel robbed of 125.00 !! S. Johnson read more

Thank you to Jennifer for assisting us while cashing out in the shoe department on 09-02-18. She had a smile on her face and was as excited as we were when we found out how much we had saved! She was stocking shoes on the shelves when we asked if she could ring us up and sweetly took care of us. I appreciate her kindness and her interaction with my teenaged grandchildren. Also, a huge thank you to whoever finally decided to place carts to push throughout the store. It had always been such a burden to tote my intended purchases throughout the store and often I would quit early rather than drag everything along the way. Wonderful shopping experience today! I went to the hair salon inside of JCPenny's and saw Payton (hope I spelled that right) and was blown away by how well everyone worked together and her ability. She was incredible the entire time. Asked if I needed anything and brought me refreshments as often as I wanted with a genuinely happy smile. Her coworkers also were asking other clients if they needed anything as well as helping out wherever they could with other hairstylists. Everyone was happy and having a good time together. The vibe was just awesome and I didn't see not one person unhappy or complaining about a darn thing. I highly recommend Payton for any coloring needs. They had a big deal going on at the same time as I was there. I got my hair cut, colored, blow dried and straightened, plus two liter sized SnC's and my total was $85!!!! The blow dry was alright, she didn't get all of my hair dry, and the straightening wasn't very good at all, but it's the thought that counts I suppose- I wasn't too concerned since I was putting it up in a ponytail anyway. I gave a hefty tip for how amazing the entire experience was. I will be going back every time from now on. read more

Let's just be clear. The associate who helped me was freakin wonderful her name is Angela and she was hugely friendly and beyond helpful. She is the reason that I would recommend this store. She even left her area to escort me to the culinary dept. Their inventory is terrible there were exactly two items one high end and one not. The item I was seeking after having seen it online they did not have. Soooooooo, Angela called up the site and I ordered the item to be delivered to the store. The item will be delivered in like 10+ days. The reason I gave Penney's 3 stars is because of the associate. When I went online to answer their survey it was my intention to give props to the associate. So, I wrote a similar review and don't you know I had finished and went to post and it informed me that I could start all over again. D mn ain't that sweet? No, it isn't.
