I dont usually shop at Khols but, stopped in looking for a mattress topper. I asked for help and Ben came to the rescue. The website stated that they had 2 pf the toppers I was looking for, but could not find them on the sales floor. Ben came and helped me look, we did not find them. He explained that online shopping sometimes interferes with resl time inventory and was very apologetic. Up till now, I'd have said this was a 3 or 4 star experience. But then, he braved the second floor to look to see if they had any up there. He came back a while later and apologized that he couldnt find any. He said they would be expecting a shipment by Friday and suggested I call back then to save myself a trip. He then explained that if I got a Khols card, I could get 40% off another topper that would be better quality and last longer. I opted not to get a card, but appreciated the non- pushy approach. Its because of interactions like this that a visit that may have been just 1 or 2 stars because their website says they have the item and can have it ready in 1hr when, they have none.. could be frustrating. Love the clearance sales at Kohl's! I got 4th of July decorations on clearance and finally got to use them this year! Ten nicely made cloth buntings were only like fifty cents each! Recently I got a light Columbia jacket for only $22.50! It's very comfy and even matches my car. When it's time to replenish bras and panties, I always wait for a sale. I can get my favorite Hanes and Warner's items at really good prices. Super nice employees. There's always a wait to check out, as typically only a couple registers are in use. Still five stars though, for the value and quality there. read more

Kohls is my favorite store, I love the fact they hand out Kohl's cash and coupons. North Fresno store is always clean and almost always has my size in store or online. The prices are always marked. The restroom was well stocked and clean. This evening was no exception Paola was helping me at the register she retrieve my Kohl's cash ($45.00) that was lost in my old email and deleted, she double checked my return to make sure I received the right amount that I paid since I used some Kohl's cash with the purchased. Paola is very well mannered very sweet young girl she did not lose patience with me when I couldn't find the email she offered to help me which was very nice. She had Ed the security guard at the front door help me out to my car, he was very nice & very helpful. It's so nice to see there's still youngsters that are willing to take the time to help and be very courteous. You don't see that much anymore. I hope Kohls knows they've have a wonderful lady working there. Also, a young lady that helped me out on the floor. I do not know her name. I'm going to be very clear. Online orders will ABSOLUTELY COUNT AGAINST YOU. Kohls is anti-progressive. Their employees are provided the option of "with receipt" or "without a receipt". Online orders count as "without receipt". But they ensure giving their patrons a hard time, possibly to deter returns. Hmm. And you utilize Amazon, a company that encourages sampling with no hassle returns?! We also used to be able to count on this place for kids clothes. That appears to no longer be the case. Especially boys clothes. We aren't aiming for fashion trends, just functional clothes. But they've cut that out of their available in store market. Good to know their neighboring sport's store provides their own quality 3 letter branded clothing made for function. (Let's see Kohls' lawyers try to stop me from making THAT vague statement.) I will say their saving grace that brings them up to a 1.5 stars is their Amazon staff. They've been great EVERY-TIME! *UPDATE* 8/6/23 They have no functional boys shoes. (Continuing the trend of functionless apparel.) All boys shoes are casual only. With the exception of 1 Underarmour basketball shoe treads. Was told the week before an item i needed was in transit to this store and would be available Thursday. So i came on Friday... look alllll over the place and can't find it? Or someone available to assist me. Had to stand in the customer service/ return line to get help... and it was "still in transit" and not Adobe. In addition, an elderly lady asked if i saw any chairs so she could try on shoes... i couldn't find any so i ask the salesperson that helped me look for my item, was told they don't have any in the store. This used to be a place where you could shop for HomeGoods clothing, shoes, toys, perfume jewelry. purchased a watch about a year ago and the battery's dead so I go to Kohls to have them replace the jewelry department with Sephora no batteries for the watch. They got rid of the jewelry department . The thing is you have to take it to a jeweler or replace it yourself . I know Walmart has a jewelry department so I go , they will not touch a watch if it wasn't purchased from their store and it's not one of their brands.. and of course, my watch was not purchase there and it's not one of those brands that you would typically get from a Walmart. I just think that yeah that's terrible so if you cannot go until close to get a replacement or get repairs for your watch, and I think that they shouldn't even sell them on the website. Bummer. If I could give KOHLS.COM negative stars I would! WATCH OUT! WARNING! AVOID! LOOK OUT! SCAMMERS! FRAUD!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They are predatory lenders! They offer you credit, screw up your account, make it all but impossible to pay and THEN try to charge you LATE FEES if you aren't paying attention! I worked with them for 4 months trying to make a payment and get AUTO PAYMENTS set up -- I called their customer service at least 6-8 times during that time. I got hung up on, lied to, misdirected, transferred all over the place when someone could not help me, lied to about a "call back from a supervisor". The person on the phone today kept calling me "Ma'am" and when I told her I was NOT FEMALE she LAUGHED and KEPT CALLING ME MA'AM! This place is amateur hour. NOT worth the effort. This is not a review of Kohl's generally, because I like Kohl's. This is specific to one experience with an Amazon return at Kohl's with an associate named Vincent. I returned a small item on 7/18 at about 5:00pm. It maybe took 5 seconds. There was no line, so I hesitantly walked up to the counter (as the Amazon drop off location changes from time to time). I kindly asked, "Is this for Amazon returns?" He replied, "You see the sign, right?" He also had a condescending look on his face as he was saying it. Of course, I was taken aback by it. Maybe Vincent was having a bad day in a non-stressful, not-busy-time-of-day moment. Vincent needs to shelve the attitude and do what he's paid to do: Be courteous and serve the customer. read more

I was never a huge fan of this place cause it always seemed like the deals were not deals. But with Kohl's cash which my gma has haha and clearance aisles you can find some pretty good stuff for cheap if you search! The cashier was also helpful and patient with us when we were trying to reach the fifty dollar threshold to get the reward lol and informed us where we were at that goal so we only needed to add two chapsticks instead of three. You definitely have to be detailed to know what deals apply to what since often things are messy. The checkout line also is longer than what we are used to at a clothing store but I mean not as bad as Black Friday lol so there you go. Have a buddy to chat with and take your time looking at the face masks and other accessories placed next to the line cause you'll have plenty of time to do so. This is not a place you'll want to be at when you are short on time and want something specific and want to get in and out. Have some time to kill and in the mood to dig around to find a deal? Knock yourself out. That's an inconvenience for most people in this modern day but I'm happy with any place I can get a nice soft sweater for $15 in the clearance section! I totally hate Kohl's and this location deserves a big fat 0! The racks that have the jeans are typically trashed and finding your actual size you probably have better luck playing power ball. Worst customer service! Left items at register and didn't even buy my items. Kohl's has list my business. Cashier did not care that 8 people were in line waiting to buy items. She was the only cashier but they had two people processing returns. Waited 10 minutes for her to check one person out, then she decided to redo it all. I have been shopping at Kohl's for the last four months, as I always felt very safe in their stores. However today when I went to check out, the woman in front of me was not wearing a mask. I asked the cashier why they were not enforcing the mask mandate and she said nothing the woman proceeded to make her purchase and leave. I had to actually ask the cashier to wipe down all of the surfaces because this woman was not wearing a mask and I am 68 years old. Unfortunately if they do not enforce the mask mandate and make me feel safe, I will not return to the store. It's very simple, if you want to stay open in force the rules so we feel safe. I have mixed feelings about this store. Kohl's has merchandise much like the old Gottschalks. I like this very much. There is a problem in the shoe department. It is self-serve and the stock is all on the floor. Because of that, the shoes are in disarray and it's hard to find what you want. This I don't like. During Covid closure/Curbside pickup I ordered on my way home from Bass Lake to Hanford. Wanted to pickup the package in transit. Called the store to let them know I was there even before my order from online arrived to their location. They said they would process as soon as they received... and they DID!! I'm very wishy washy about kohls. Ok so sometimes you can find really really great deals, other times I feel as if everything's marked up 3X the amount. Literally today 8/4/16 my husband and I spent a great amount of time looking for grey dress pants. Not successful. He's a very picky man and he gets what he wants. All their greys had other colors blended in. There was one pair I liked a lot and he did a double take! That means we did great! Nope, it was the only size left but with white stains on them. Lol how convenient right? Tried to find an associate for assistance, no luck. It's like they know customers need help and hide like the lucky charm man. Upon arriving to the register to pay there was already a line. But there was a line when we entered and a line 30 minutes later. do they not see anything wrong with this? Anywho a few minutes later another associate opens a register. She helps us rings us up. As we get home the sensors are still on some of the items we purchased and she didn't put the belt he purchased in the bag. My husband is an easy going man and I am not. I work retail and I also work in the medical field. So I know customer service. This was terrible on her part. And what sucks is WHY have a sensor if it doesn't go off. It's sad we came all the way home to realize it. now he has to take it back to have it removed. Anywho I do love the qp app to help me save a couple more dollars but other than that they need to step up customer service and be more attentive read more

I have always shopped here and never had a problem. Only this time, one of the men cashier had scanned a different tag other than what he should've scanned and charged me for it. Didn't realize til I got home to look at the receipt. I called and went back and said they would contact me, which in case they did but won't give me the refund unless I had the other tag which my little cousin left at store parking lot. I basically paid for a kids nike outfit that I didn't even get and paid for a tag!!! My little cousin even asked if it was the first time he did that and one of the workers said apparently that it wasn't his first time. Omggg are they serious?? Who does the hiring and why hasn't he had a warning. When I had to pay, he was just standing and talking. Not even a greet or anything. We had a great experience at the Kohl's in Modesto. We did our back-to-school shopping and spent a good amount on my son's clothing (4 shirts, 4 jeans/khaki's, 2 pairs of shoes, 3 packages of socks). We got great deals...buy 2 get 1 free, 2 for $20 and Levi's that were $20 off (still $47). The associate's were very helpful and offered my son's godmother a 30% off discount even though she didn't have the coupon on her. It was a great experience and I've had great luck with Kohl's in the past. However, when I got back to Fresno and attempted to exchange a pair of Nike's for a half-size larger, I was told that they did not have that size currently in stock. I asked the associate to check the other stores, which she did not offer. She quickly got back to me (too quickly?) and said that they didn't have them either. I asked her when they might come in stock, she said that they were never told when the next shipment was coming or what would come in. I asked her for a suggestion as to what to do next since I wanted to shoes but needed them in a larger size (knowing how quickly my son's feet grow). She asked me to wait a moment while she checked with her supervisor. She came back and said that her supervisor suggested that I purchase the shoes online and then return the shoes that I had already purchased. So...buy them again. I was very irritated. I think that Kohl's has great deals but the experience I had with the Kohl's near Riverpark really left me with a poor image of this particular location. Unfortunate. read more

I don't know what's up with this location! Seriously! Are they severely understaffed, or just lazy? See my other review on the west Fresno location, which I love. I came here real quick last night to find a white tank top. I thought I'd be able to run in quickly and find one, but no. I'm not sure, is this location smaller than the other store, or does it just have more? Everything is so crowded together, especially in the juniors department. And the dressing rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned and organized in months. Every dressing room had PILES of clothes on all the hooks, benches and floors. And then when I came out, instead of there being a rack or shelves to put the reject clothes on, there was a large mountain of clothes. Remember that old Friends episode where Ross went to the dirty girl's apartment? She had just mounds and mounds of clothes everywhere. That's what the dressing rooms looked like. And then as I checked out, I saw that two registers were open. A shopper kept talking to one of the checkers, while the other one rang someone out. She was trying to decide whether to buy some electronic or something, and kept going on and on to him. In the meantime, I was standing in line, between the two registers, wondering if the guy was going to check me out. This lady wasn't in line, she was just holding merchandise and talking. I mean, seriously? So I only come to this location if the other store is out of something I need, or if for some strange reason I'm up by RiverPark. read more

Kohl's has good deals and if you are willing to dig a little you can find them. I am not a fan of their clothing as it seems cheap and usually tears after one or two washes. I like their kitchen items and their home goods. They are also great to honor coupons, even if you don't have them. read more

Ok, So I'm going to start off by saying that I am definitely not a big fan of Kohl's. I find it often disorganized, cluttered, the quality of clothing is somewhat questionable at times, and some of the items (ie, the Vera Wang line) are ridiculously overpriced for where it's at. Note to Vera: I get that you're good and cost money, but at Kohl's in Fresno, you're a little too expensive for my taste. Maybe I'm just cheap. But the reason why I'm at Kohl's in the first place is to not spend a lot of money. That being said, I pretty much never end up buying anything here because I can't seem to find anything good ever. But my mom likes it so I get dragged here often. It's not awful or anything. It's just not my cup of tea. It's similar to a Mervyn's so if you're down with that, you will probably like Kohl's. The reason why this place gets 3 stars instead of 2: My newest discovery. It is really fun to play with the Ashley Judd make up on display. You get a lot of privacy because there's almost never anybody in those aisles so you get to wander around and just play. There's no remover so you might want to go easy on the heavy stuff. But the colors are pretty, there's an amazing amount of really good lighting in that area, and tons of mirrors. I'll know where to hang out next time I get stuck here. read more

A simple visit gone wrong. This was supposed to be a very easy in and out job. I wanted a Scarf, specifically, a red scarf that was not only nice looking, but usable. I don't like to bother employees unless I really need help, so I did a couple rounds through the store looking for a usable scarf. After a good 10-20 minutes of browsing, I figure it's been long enough to ask someone where I could find one. The lines were very long, so asking the cashiers was out of the questions. Any employee I saw walking around was impossible to stop, even if I did call out to them. I think they just pretended to not hear me, cuz I know they saw me with that "Can you help me?" look. After another 10 minutes of trying to ask someone for help, I left the store rather disappointed. I'd have given it 1-star, but the look of the store was neat and the atmosphere was nice. If you're looking for customer service, you might want to look somewhere else. Hey, Target, Macy's and JC Penny's are just across the street after all! read more

I did all my Christmas shopping here, and the returns were very easy to handle. Hoping everything can get more organized, but I guess that is a lot to expect out of a store with so much selection. Kohls is awesome only because I can find decent clothes (sweaters even, during off-season) for less than $6!! I even have a nice sweater that cost less than $2-3 after discounts (in the clearance section - which is already 50-80% off). I usually wait until I get a 20-30% off coupon to shop here. They do employ the "mark up before mark down" method so I only buy stuff when it's on clearance. "Sale" items are actually just regular prices with a small discount. I can't comment about the service because I rarely ask for help and don't give a dip about employee attitude at the register (unless they're being hostile). Sometimes this particular location is messy, sometimes it's clean. I guess it depends on the traffic that week. The parking lot is hard to get out of though because you have to zip through a busy two-way street. read more

If you don't like disorganized and cluttered then don't come here. The last person really should think about going to Macys then. If your going somewhere to get a bargain, then you really can't be choosy. Prices are great here. If you look around like I did and take your time. You can find Items at 50, 60, even 70 percent off, and they were some nice Items. So in the grand scheme of things if your looking for a deal and you have some time on your hands, then this is the place to go. read more

This used to be a good store and had great stock. I am inconveniently tall and this was one of the few places that sold LONG jeans. I have been in here half a dozen times looking for a pair of long pants and can never find them. Even with help of the staff and being told ahead of time that the item is in stock, the long jeans are always elusive. Store is clean and staff is OK so that is why there are 2 stars not 1. But ZERO stars for stock availability. I won't bother going here again. read more
