My family and I decided to make a in person visit to Macy's On Blackstone in Fresno. Once we arrived We took the elevator due to the escalator was out. Right now is a July 4th sale event so items are on sale for purchase. The customer representative Malaky at the mens department was able to assist my autistic child with getting his measurements for a men's suit for his school yearbook photos. We had an excellent customer experience with Malaky. He took the time to actually assist us by taking the appropriate measurements with the first men suit purchase. The prices are right. Friday 12:00pm came in looking for a pair of black heals and a pair of jeans. Walked out with neither of them. The shoe department was disorganized and not inviting at all. Not surprised that I wasn't approached by a Macy's salesperson to ask me if I needed help. Gone are the good old days when smartly dressed women would be at the ready to assist you with shoe selection. I am happy that Karl Lagerfeld is now designing for Macy's and had two cute dresses available that I added to my shopping bag. So I guess I will have to go to Nordstrom online to find shoes. read more

This Macy's is probably the worst I have ever experienced customer service wise. If you advertise and post an item you need to make good on it. I usually shop River Park, I thought it would be nice to have a larger selection at Fashion Fair. Well selection yes customer service horrible. Boots posted 40% discount. In two different displays. I bought a pair of Nike shoes on the payment Klarna and had $10.00 star money for $72.06. I made a payment $18.01. I had to return them got a return for $62.17. Which my debit card got a refund for only $8.13. I asked and Macy worker said the $9.88 should go back on my star money. I'm confused why wouldn't I get my $18.01 full refund since it was my money. Now on Klarna it shows an amount of $9.88. I will never use Macys four payment method again. I feel I got cheated out of $9.88 my real money. How many other people do they do this too. And nothing ever went back to my star money so I lost two ways. read more

They have horrible customer service. I walked in to buy my husband a few new bottles of cologne, stepped in around 7:15 and one employee asked me if I needed help. I told her I was there to buy cologne and she asked if I wanted some sample sticks. I say yes and she hands them to me and walks away. As I look around I noticed that all of the bottles were behind the counter. An older lady with blonde hair asked if I needed help so she gave me a couple of samples, (when I didn't like the first cologne and told her it wasn't his type she said "just take it. You'll like it later") but made me feel like I was a nuisance to her after a couple of samples so I asked why they had the bottles behind the counter as I was now feeling uncomfortable with her. She proceeded to tell me that they put them behind the counter before closing, so I asked what time they closed and she said 9 PM (again, I arrived around 7:15). She then proceeded to explain that they had a lot of bottles to wipe down and seemed to be even more annoyed with me. This store is a dump! Clothes and hangers all over the floors. So many clothes rammed onto racks and everywhere that I felt like I was in a Marshalls. Went into a dressing room and the bench I sat down on almost collapsed underneath me. I also saw a man in the women's fitting room and the locks on the door that I was in did not work. A woman actually walked in on me and I had no pants on. I didn't feel safe at all. I now remember why I quit coming to the store years ago. read more

This store is a real mess! I was looking in the Style & Co. Dept. and all the jeans were on a table turned every which way - then I went to look at the "Last Act" rack and all the clothes on the racks were all different sizes - not organized at all - like the Petite sizes were mixed in with the Plus sizes, pants, shorts, blouses, dresses, skirts, sweaters, all hung together in no particular order - what a mess - I asked two workers there if any of the clothes were in any kind of order and they replied "No. You just have to go through it all." Unbelievable! I felt as if I was at some low-end discount store or a tacky garage sale somewhere. This store has really gone downhill and is getting worse. Their dressing room was a mess and had filthy dirty carpet and a sitting area that was about to break off the wall it was attached too. Time to go shopping elsewhere after this! read more

I'm here to thank Macy's. On behalf of Jeff Bezos. I usually shop online. I do a lot of my shopping at Amazon. Which is in itself not always great. But after my recent experience I'm reminded that it beats mall shopping. I was at the Fresno mall on Friday and after an hour I was despairing of finding anything I was looking for (cute tops and summer/fall casual dresses). So I settled on a bench in the courtyard outside Macy's to wait for my friend when I spied right at the door what looked to be cozy, comfy and cute brown corduroy pants. I hopped up, checked them out and saw they were on a nice sale @$38, down from @$55. I grabbed a pair and went in search of a fitting room, tried them on, loved them, then another long trek to find a cashier. The cashier rang them up at full price, I mentioned they were on sale, he said they weren't and I considered asking for a supervisor to attempt to get some justice but as I was meeting a friend I really didn't feel like another long wait to possibly receive the promised deal so I left the pants on the counter. Masks worn by workers. Great music playing. It's clean, safe and practiced. I'm in desperate need of jeans after trying on mine and none of them fitting since I started running daily. They all fall off! Lol! They have a huge selection of clothes and a good selection of jeans by all different brands. After trying on 4 different ones, I ended up getting 2 different jeans. A Levi brand and a Lucky brand that has buttons going up and say lucky you on the zipper part. They were busy! At checkout the worker was very nice! Good service and store! Recommended! read more

This store is a dump. For the location that it is in and the brands they carry you would think it would be better. No wonder why they are in the verge of shutting down. Employees don't care. Customer service is either find it yourself or get a credit card. Clothes are thrown all over the place and unorganized. I definitely get better service and find it cleaner at a second hand store. The Macys at Riverpark Fresno is so understaffed you cannot get any service to purchase anything. I knew exactly what purse I wanted, went to the store, no one in the handbag section at all. After 20 minutes I asked a guy on the floor to please call someone. He said he would. 15 minutes later I left, leaving my purse behind. I am completely disgusted with the customer service at Macys. I ended up going home, ordering the bag, having to drive back to the store stand in line at customer service to get my purchased bag which I could have bought days before had someone been on the floor. At this rate, Macys is going to end up like every other large retail store and close their doors because people will turn completely to online rather than waste their time going to the store. read more

Went looking for a wedding (guest) dress today. Their dress dept. is chaotic and messy. Both discounted and full priced dresses are on the floor, or hang over the rack, and those that don't are squeeze in next to each other with dresses for different occasions, patterns and ages. I found a couple of dresses that might have worked prior to realizing they were approx. $140-$150 price range. The majority are overpriced old lady dresses. The dressing room next to the dresses is closed so I went to customer service to ask if any where opened. There was a long line so when I saw an employee approach the register, I took the opportunity to avoid cutsies simply for a question. I said excuse me but she kept walking, I called out to her but the more I did, the faster she walked. By the time I reached her we were practically running. She abruptly turned her head around and said "you have a question?" I caught my breath, smiled, and said yes. She said go to customer service and pointed at them. Wah wah! Everyone in line was starting at me, as I walked back in shame. I decided not to spend my money on crap with crap people. But that's just me. read more

If I could give this store 1 star I would!! It is a DUMP!! Sale people are rude, no-one wants to help, God forbid I have a question or need help. The store is a complete disaster with piles of clothes everywhere. Dressing rooms FILLED with clothes as were the racks. Clearance section is a disaster!! Salespeople are dressed so badly not sure why they even showed up for work! Makes me wonder who the hell is managing this place. I was shopping in the men's section trying to buy a sports jacket and some casual shirts. I really felt like I was at Wal-Mart after a rough Saturday. Clothes everywhere in piles, nothing organized and the sizes were all intermixed. They act like they are going out of business. I tried to find someone to help but there was no one to be found. I was prepared to spend a lot of money but left frustrated and bought my clothes elsewhere. It was crazy that when I got downstairs there had to be 20+ people working in the makeup/perfume area but only a couple of customers. I think they have some staffing problems. read more

I like the design of the this 2 story location. There's a good selection of stuff, men's cloths, smelly things, etc. With all the various other Macy's stores in the area, it doesn't try to fit EVERYTHING in. Like when other place shovel their crap in the the isles that were designed to walk on and open the shopping experience up. Macys in Riverpark is a disaster. It makes Walmart look good..,it is a mess with clothes all over the floor and the fitting rooms w packed with clothing. This used to be a nice store, but anymore I will no longer go there. They need to hire a new manager, who intern needs to hire a couple of people who do nothing all day, but pick up clothes off the floor put them back on the hangers or fold them nicely on the tables. I don't want to pay that kind of money to go into a store and feel like I'm in, a Walmart actually I can go to Walmart and it's much cleaner. I'm very disappointed the last 4 to 5 times I was in the store, I can go to the Macys in Fashion Fair and it's like walking in to a nice clean upper class store where I don't mind spending that kind of money. read more

A few months ago my wife bought me a $500 watch as a gift from this store. About six weeks ago I got it resized and the girl was very gracious and kind and did it. She asked me if we bought the watch at the store and I said yes. That said, she went ahead and took out a link for me. Today I went back to get another link taken out and they asked me if I bought it here and I said yes. She said I needed to prove it with a receipt. I told her I didn't have the receipt any more so she refused to take the link out without charging me. When I asked to speak to a manager, she got on the phone for a minute and then turned around and said they were refusing to let me talk to a manager. Really? She told me I could've bought the watch anywhere and they didn't believe that I bought it there. We have bought a lot of stuff at Macy's and I will never spend another penny here. read more

This is an in between Macy's for me. It's great when I come to purchase make up or get my face waxed at the Benefit Brow Bar, but for clothes, accessories, etc. I'd have to say that the selection here blows. I think with such low reviews, many agree with me. I love Macy's and they can have some awesome deals at times, but this one is far from the Fashion Fair Macy's as far as overall satisfaction. I will admit that it's in a tempting and much visited location but when I walk out, I seem to remember why I avoid coming here altogether. read more

Super easy return review. I purchased a purse online and once it arrived it wasn't as large as I wanted or needed it to be, so I returned the purse to Macy's. I love how easy it was to return my purchase. The store was clearly marked as to where returns are processed. The employees were super helpful and nice, they made it so easy to return the purse. But if your a Mother this job isn't for you they will not work with you they don't care about your kids.. my 11 month old was sick i had to take her to the hospital twice while I was training so during that time i wasn't able to make it to work do you think they cared that I'm a single mother looking for work and i put my sick baby first? Pick up curb side review. Ordered a foot massager on the Macy's website and opted to get my packaged delivered at this location. I got an email confirmation stating my order was ready I didn't get a chance to pick-up until 3 days after. I arrived and called the number provided in the email I didn't know I was parked at the wrong spot and I was so happy the lady was so kind and patient enough to stay on the phone to explain the where the spaces for curbside was. I opened my trunk, stayed in my vehicle and she brought out my order and respected my package and my vehicle. I had a great experience and the process went quickly and smooth. read more

I'm very disappointed with my visit!! I originally went into the store for a specific shoe & as always I come across a pair that I don't need, but fall in love with the shoe & the price. I saw these red beautiful heels on the LAST ACT rack for $19.99 so I ask the sales lady for the other shoe to try on. They fit great so I was considering purchasing.. I had already found the shoes I had originally gone for, but because the box was huge, I asked them to please hold them at the register so I can finish my shopping. Well, when I come back to finally purchase the TWO pairs, I see the red heels priced DOUBLE on the register screen so I asked the gentleman to check because when I had first seen the shoe on the floor, it was $19.99.... the lady that gave me the other shoe wasn't around or was probably on her break, I don't know, but she was never called to confirm the price!! I told the gentleman that the price tag even looked fresh & he didn't care. I didn't end up buying them! If my mom hadn't seen the screen, I would have paid more. They were so slick on changing the price tag when I left them to continue shopping!! My mom & I even looked at each other like "wooooww, they were smart to do that", but not that smart because they lost on a purchase!! This happened on Sunday, Sept 17 around 6:30pm when I found the heels to try on & paid around 7:30pm almost to closing time to pay. As my mom said, next time we find a shoe on sale, we will take a picture of the tag BEFORE asking the sales person for the other shoe to try on in case this happens again!!!!!! read more

Went in to buy some diamond earrings. As I was looking around the associate Anibal was chatting with another one who had just clocked out. As I approached them he didnt ask if I needed assistance. I found an item I liked from fashion fair Macys and asked Anibal to see them. The clearance items at Fashion Fair were 70% off with an additional 20% off. When I asked if the clearance at Riverpark were also 70% off Anibal sarcastically responded, " oh I don't see a 70% off sign here." I explained the deal I saw at the fashion fair Macys and he stated that he was unaware of any deals or discounts going on. I left angry bc of the interaction and didn't purchase the earrings. I applied for a job an got hired at this store. Well I got in trouble for not being so good with whiny customers. I retired from the military so it just seemed like people can't do anything for themselves as shoppers. But I was glad to have worked for the managers because they really try to make customers happy and they are normally in a good mood. I was probably not meant to work retail. Also loved working with the young kids. Got a lot of love for the store because it is NOT easy like I thought it would be. Folks, they don't want their store messy. I went to the perfume counter to get help with picking a fragrance and the gentleman at the Chanel counter on 03.18.22 evening was sooo helpful! He really knew his fragrances and recommended the best fragrance for me. I believe his name was Gergov or something similar. Great employee :) read more

This Macy's has been steadily declining for a while now, while I feel that the one at Fashion Fair has been improving in this time. This store is so understaffed, sometimes there are only two people working upstairs (one in mens, one in kids) with no one working in the home area- which is an area lots of customers have questions in! There are piles of clothes everywhere to be put back, nothing is folded anywhere, racks are jammed with clothing that is nowhere near where it belongs. Even though this store isn't even that old, the carpet is taped down with duct tape in some areas, and one of the escalators has been out of order for several months! With Macy's continued downsizing, and the improvements being made at Fashion Fair Macy's, I feel like this location will not survive in the long term. +1 star for a convenient location, nice staff when you can find them, and good sale prices when you can find what you're looking for. read more

Not sure why this particular Macy's is so difficult to find a sales associate to help. It was pretty frustrating trying to find a pair of jeans when none of the sizes were organized. The only reason I come to this Macy's because there typically are no crowds, but that is probably due to the lack of customer service. read more

I will return to Macy's Riverpark even after my visit to the brick-and-mortar store today. Very disappointed with the quality of clothing as well as the untidiness of the store itself. COVID had been a challenge...granted. But is that a reason to not have enough staff on hand to pick up clothing off the floor? Or to properly size clothing? This store is disgusting!!!!! Messiest store I've ever been too. Cashier Kathy is extremely rude, and slow! She purposefully left the alarm tags on my jeans I had to tell her to take them off, claims she didn't know they had alarms...??? Tell me how you don't know if every single item in that store has alarms& they are huge, very hard to miss. I then ask her if there's any other cashiers due to the line being extremely long she says " apparently not if I'm the only one here". Doesn't acknowledge me or apologize for the long wait but does so for all the previous customers before me. Macys need to hire people that want to do their job!!!!!! Extremely unprofessional!
