Some Kohl's stores are unorganized, understaffed, and unsatisfactory because of high volumes of inventory and people; however, the Kohl's store in Frankfort is well organized, properly staffed, and pleasant even with its busyness. The cashiers are friendly, and their floor personnel are very polite and helpful. Clean, well stocked, and inviting are what today's offline shoppers desire. I don't recommend using this store for Amazon returns. There were 13 people in line when I arrived. After 22 minutes of watching the clerk wrap 37 yards of packing tape around an 8 x 11 package I left. The line had not moved at all, the same customer was at the counter watching her package get encapsulated. read more

FYI Amazon returns stop at 8pm. This isn't advertised and all thought the store is open till 10pm they will not do any returns after 8pm.

I went to do an Amazon drop off and the lady there was very nice and friendly. I then went to look for a $250 air fryer, convection toaster oven which the website said was in stock at the Mokena store. There was no display model of the one I was looking for and no boxes of it on the shelves. No staff around to ask. I then decided to look at socks because I needed some new ones and I had the coupon that comes attached to your Amazon return receipt. Now here's my favorite part of this shopping experience at this store that has very few walk-in customers and should be treating them well. I go up to the cash register, it's all young very husky woman just looks at me, doesn't say hello. I hand her my six pack of Adidas socks and then the percentage off coupon. She says "Enter your rewards number". She didn't bother to ask if I had a rewards number. I suppose I could have entered my Petco rewards number, maybe that would have finally brought a smile to this stoic lady's face. So we stood there for several seconds and then finally she proceeded with the transaction. Perhaps she connected the dots that I do not have a rewards account. English seem to be her first language, but for a customer service person she does not seem to want to speak to the customers who contribute towards her salary. So she hands me the receipt, doesn't say thank you, doesn't say goodbye, and doesn't say you have a good day. I walked out thinking, is the store interested in staying in business?? I get to the car I look at the receipt and she didn't apply the percentage off coupon that I handed her and which she it she accepted. I went back inside to the customer service desk, a young guy was there. I told him my discount coupon was not applied and I gave it to the cashier when I made the purchase. He said Adidas is one of the brands for which coupons are not honored. And I am supposed to know this? I told him the cashier accepted my coupon and did not bother to say anything about not applying it. He said the cashier's know about it and she should have said something. I looked over to the register where the cashier was at, there she was just standing there no customers in sight to wait on during a Saturday afternoon. I told the guy, give me a refund on the socks I'll go down the street to JCPenney and buy them there. Their prices are better and their staff is friendly and helpful. So as you read news stories about Kohl's having financial issues, other than the public feeling sorry for them losing business to online sales, remember experiences like this that customers have. Right down the street from this Kohl's is a good amount of shopping including Target and JCPenney. I hope management at the Mokena store cares to have a conversation with this girl about how to treat customers with appreciation. I have no plans to be back at the store except to do Amazon returns. read more

So I've been trying to purchase a single pillow for three days.... and it has been an odyssey with no pillow to show for it. The first time, I wanted to purchase a pillow on clearance for $15. There was a whole thing about not being able to find a UPC code, although there was a price, and rather than waiting any longer than I already had, I left figuring I would go back the next day. When I went back, the item was gone, so I tried to purchase a different pillow. The item rang up as $94..... which is insane. The store was crowded, so rather than hunt for another one and wait in line, again, I decided to go back a final time. This time, there was no price on the tag, and again, it rang up as insanely high at $60. Staff was not helpful or courteous any of the times, just clearly annoyed. So in sum, this has been an awful and frustrating waste of time. read more

They sure give a lot of coupons and if you forget yours, they will give you one at the register. The store can be a bit messy but that's because they have tons of stuff in there. I have never seen a manager so rude and disrespectful of a customer in my life. I tried to buy some dress clothes for my son at the store on rte 30 in Frankfort IL on Sunday May 27th. I had read a sign wrong and questioned the price of a shirt. First the manager told us that we should learn to read the signs, when I asked her to go look to make sure, she huffed and puffed about it.... After 10 minutes of waiting for her to come back she returned and said "Oh I forgot you were here". She repeated what she said initially. I asked her if she looked at the sign, she looked me in the eyes, rolled her eyes and ignored me. I then mentioned to my mother about misleading signs and we were told to go elsewhere by the manager... So I said, "fine JCPenneys has nicer people and better prices anyways". The poor clerk that rang us up was very nice and looked mortified that the manager was talking to us this way. Both my mother and I have shopped at Kohl's for a long time, and now because of this manager neither of us will ever return.... If you cant handle the public then don't go into retail. She should be fired for her behavior. read more

Around two years ago I visited this location and received the most unacceptable customer service from not the cashier, but the management. I've given this place a couple chances, they continue to fall short. Tried going in here 2 times this week for some dress shirts for work. First of all, the rack the dress shirts are on look like GoodWill. Unorganized and 90% of the shirts are out of their packaging just balled up and stuffed into the shelves. Found a couple I liked, and went to go check out. 4 people in line the first time, ONE cashier. Waited in line for ten minutes and finally gave up, as did a woman in line in front of me. Second trip same exact issue, waiting in line for 10 minutes. Eventually left both times without making a purchase. Maybe hire some more employees, or have the people behind the customer service desk come over and give them a hand so people aren't waiting in line for 10+ minutes to make a purchase. I personally like Kohl's The last time I came here, I was looking for a couple pairs of jeans, since I just ripped the crotch out of two of them within about a week from each other. So The Fiance and I went in to do some shopping (something she HATES doing), and I was pleasantly surprised that they did a lot of remodeling to the place. The customer service center is now up front, they rearranged the clothing, and did a bit to the flooring in the Men's Department. The other parts of the store, I'm not too sure about. We were there for a good hour or so, looking at various types of jeans...then collared shirts. I'm always happy at the prices of their stuff and the quality is pretty good too. Well, I went to the front desk with about $270 worth of stuff, for about $130. A lot of it was off the clearance rack (don't HATE), and the rest was on sale in some way, shape, or form. But I didn't pay then. I had them put it on hold for a couple of days. A few days later, I come to the Customer Service center to pick up my stuff. There was a lady there, probably early 20s or so, who was adorable. She wanted me to sign up for the Kohl's to save 15% off. I told her "Nah, I've been in TOO much trouble with charge cards." "But, I have a quota to meet." :-( Back in my younger years, the whole "retail damsel in distress" thing would have worked...but I'm engaged. The Fiance is the ONLY one that can do that these days. "Thanks for the offer, dear, but I'll pass." "Are you sure." "Yup, but you are PERSISTENT. I like that. Keep it up." I picked up my stuff, paid, and got out. As I said, I was please about Kohl's, from the cleanliness, to the service, to the new dressing rooms. It's a pretty GREAT place. read more

I shop at this Kohls several times per month. It's convenient and you can run out for a gift or outfit if you need it fast. This is the first time I have noticed this but the dressing rooms were filthy. It's not unusual to see unwanted clothes everywhere but what is unusual to see if tons of thick dust all over the place. I usually take my shoes off to try clothes on but I didn't this time. Yuck. I've never seen it that bad. read more

Kohls usually has good deals on shoes so off I went. I need some new flip flops/shower shoes for the gym and to my dismay they did not have anything decent on sale. So I wandered and found some good deals on shirts and picked up a couple. The place was mobbed but they kept the registers moving along. I get my turn and the young man at the register asks if I have a Kohls charge. I said no, he makes the standard pitch to sign up and get a discount. No thanks, then he says I have to ask. I have no problem with that. He continues to say I like manual labor more but its a good job and I can help out my mom with the bills, not like my lazy brother. Frankfort is the worst Kohls experience I have ever had and the only reason why is because of how unqualified management was in dealing with my brand new Kohls credit card account that I applied and got approved for that day in store! I have never done a review of any store. However, this experience is one that I must share . I went to Kohl in Frankfort,Il on 4/4/18 . Negative, Negative, Negative. Upon arrival, I ask for directions to the youth department of the store .... the directions given were short and seemed to agitate the person ( THE MANAGER). My thought: no worries she's busy and/or having a bad day. After searching the department for the article of clothing I was looking for, I turned to check the clearance rack ( as I often do as a professional bargain shopper). I found a jacket,clearly marked down to $ 19.99. with a secure store label . During the checkout process, I was told the jacket was not on clearance and that I could not have it at the markdown price.... and that "people" switch price tags all the time. ( I AM DEFINITELY NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE). I stayed calm and patience and asked to speak to the manager . The manager suggested to the cashier, I come back to the area of the store I had gotten the jacket from. Upon, my arrival to the youth apparel area she proceeded to tell me the jacket was not on sale and she peeled the clearance sale tag price off! When browsing through the clearance rack she/we discovered a jacket that was similar to the one I had ( same name and brand ... different style). She said that that one was a different one ( the only one in that style in the store) and was on clearance and marked the correct price . The jacket I had was clearly a markdown. It was the ONLY ONE in that style in the store as well. I made my purchase of the clearance jacket at regular price and left the store . I went to a different Kohl's today and that same jacket was marked down on the clarance rack ! My husband insisted on me returning ALL the items I purchased from Kohl's in Frankfort, Il and NEVER patronize their store again. I am reaching corporate office. read more

I went there twice to take care of a processing problem with my account, folowing the instructions given to me by the customer service number. Both times I was told by managment that the process I was given was incorrect and I would need to call customer service. I called customer service a third time and was told to go to another khols location, as the frankfort location must not know how the process works. so I am off to another Khols. The sore in Frankfort is always clean and it has great lighting. I like the fact that you can scratch off how much savings you can get and also get extra Kohl's cash to spend if you spend over a certain limit. The merchandise is of very good quality and their return policy is excellent. read more

Kohl's Frankfort---No Gift Boxes Seriously?? We started our Holiday shopping last week and picked up some things at Kohl's. During checkout, we requested gift boxes. We were told they were not in yet, but we could pick them up at a later date when they arrived. After visiting other Kohl's we told they were NOT giving gift boxes this Christmas season because they were going "Green". So I called the Frankfort Kohl's store and asked them point blank. After the associate put me on hold and checked with her manager, she admitted they were not giving gift boxes this year. Ok, I can accept that. But don't lie to customers. If you are no longer giving gift boxes which you have been doing forever, tell customers up front or post a sign so they can go elsewhere if they so choose. Everyone is TOO BUSY for this run around. I plan on bringing my purchase back for a CASH REFUND a store credit will be useless as I intend to stay out of KOHL's. Just finished shopping at this store and finally purchased my socks that only Kohl's has, Sonoma. They are always out of them because they are a popular item. Of course you are not just going to buy socks are you my subconscious asked? Well of course not. Browsing thru the store always gives you ideas of what is going to be popular for the season, it also gives you the color scheme for the season. Great sports wear, great designers, always a good shopping experience when I go. The one draw back are all the sale racks when they are changing seasons. One cannot move and when you try to get to the new clothing that has been put up, it is a difficult thing to do. The managers at this store go out of their way to give you good service. We went to this store, had a coupon that was good for the day after the day we shopped, she told the clerk to give it the okay for our purchases. Coupons and sales, who could ask for more. Don't forget, if the lines are long, you can always go to the jewelry counter to have that clerk take your order and you can be on your way, just a little info for you on the busy days that you may be shopping at Kohl's.
