But my husband reminded me that Golden Shoes is always a winner, so out we trekked to the store, and sure enough, we walked in and began browsing. A saleswoman came up and began asking us questions to help us find what we needed. We chatted about needs and preferences and she measured my son's feet. She came out with several pairs of shoes and he tried on about 3 pairs before finding the ones he liked. The drive to the store took longer than the in-store experience. My mom made up for my shoes by buying me cool designer socks. It's exactly the same for me as an adult. Today I wanted to purchase a pair of comfortable shoes for an event I am attending today. I have drove by Baron's before in the past few months but they were always closed. Today I called to inquire about if they took Apple Pay, they don't, and that was my clue that they were indeed open. I was 3 blocks away from them when I made the call so I drove up and parked. I waited for the young man inside to come and unlocked the door and I was hopeful that I would leave with a pair of shoes because I saw my desired style and color in their window. After looking around for 4-5 minutes the young man informed me that he was not allowed to sale shoes and that "she", I assume "she" is the owner, only comes in 3 days a week. Those days were not given to me. I lied and said I would return, I won't. I don't believe in giving my money to businesses who clearly don't want it. "Big mistake. Big. Huge.
