I was in therapy & it was suggested that I purchase a pair of Brooks shoes from here. I was told to see the owner Mel which I did. He was 100% helpful, put me on their treadmill to take a 5 minute walk to make sure they felt good. Not pushy, perfect owner, will be back for sure!!

First time at Running for Kicks and it was a wonderful (judgement free) experience. Personally I love going for walks and hikes but never cared about proper foot ware, which lead to lots of blisters, shin splints, and lower back pain. Finally decided it was time to invest in my footwear. The store manager sat me down and explained the importance of the shoes features, gave me multiple pairs to try based on my personal needs. It's been about 3 weeks with the new shoes and socks, and I've noticed such a difference in how I feel and an increase in my daily walking distance!

I legit went in to ask Mel the owner for a favor and I ended up walking out with a brand new pair of shoes. That I did not at all expect to buy. We got to talking about many things such as iron mans, marathons, injuries, ect. And I told him what bothered me when I ran. He said let me pick out three pairs of shoes that may work for u. And the second pair I tried on felt like clouds while running. I could of avoided so many high impacting runs that hurt if I just went here earlier on. Totally worth the price and the experience was fun cause Mel is just such a cool knowledgeable guy. Highly recommend going there and getting a pair of running or walking shoes specifically for u based on ur goals and how ur body is shaped. Thanks Mel way to sell me when I totally wasn't even thinking about buying a thing lol.

That was the only day i could go bfr catching my flight back. The owner greeted me , asked me if There was anything particular i was looking for, n to let them know if i needed help. It took a while to realize most of their sizes were towards plus, n that for me size 1 or 2 would be good. However i did find a couple of racks with those. They ddnt have any objection to trying as many as i liked. The lady showed me a few popular designs that i liked. This with a few scarves, pins n arm covers totally satisfied my modest wear needs for the time being. My friends liked them & i have recommended the place to those visiting Chicago. Also looking forward to drop by again on my next visit coming week.

He was not friendly and rude. Every price we asked he had doubled (we went to another place that sold us scarves for half the price he was charging). Not sure how the help and service is when the other owners are there - but I'm not coming back or recommending this place unless of course you are Arab and maybe they won't jack up prices and discriminate against you.

I was here on Legalize Day, and only waited for 2.5hrs, and I was only in the shop for 10-15min. While we waited in line they were giving out free coffee, posters, and Chicago style hot dogs. Then once I made a purchase I received a free knit hat with the Chicago colors and Windy City Cannabis logo on it. The shop and experience are very nice, but I did take away a star for the limited selection. I know this is probably not their fault, but it still affects me as a customer. The staff was friendly and super helpful on making choices. Sadly, the menu is still pretty limited. Where are the strain variety's? Where are the edible varieties? I'm sure there is legal roadblock there, but hopefully that will change soon. Otherwise, I will probably still keep getting my medicine the old fashioned way.
