I went into the the shop to get a flat tire repaired. I had a very positive experience. Ben had my tire repaired in under 10 minutes for a very reasonable fee including a new tire and tube. We had a delightful conversation while he fixed it right in front of me. I will be going back for all my biking needs. read more

Went in here and bought a bike and a toddler glider. The sales rep was super helpful. We probably looked at 6 bikes before we picked one. We bought a used bike cause my boys liked em... they were a little squeaky probably because they had been sitting outside but nothing a little WD40 can't take care off. I have bought two bikes from here and they are bit shady in some of their business practices. The Trek bike I bought was advertised at a lower price on the national Trek site but this store would not acknowledge that sale price. On the other bike, they told me one price on one day and then when I came back later that week to buy the bike, the price was now higher than before. If you go in there, make sure you get a written sale price and check for deals or better prices elsewhere. I will no longer patronize that store. read more

Like so many of us during the covid19 quarantine my gym of choice was closed. I dug out my old schwinn and brought it in. Sadly it was unused and abused. I called them explaining that I needed to burn calories and blow off some steam and anxiety. The owner and his head bike technician told me to bring it in. In a week, they repaired, rehabbed and make my bike look like new. They replaced tires, tubes straighten out rims, and the frame gave it a overall once or thrice over. I co weuldnt wait to get home and ride it. Folks it was like riding a new bike. I've never been so happy with my bike. Ahhhh I would give them five stars but they hide those reviews. Great friendly and HIGHLY KNOWLEDGEABLE staff, no surprises, no Gimmicks bikes sold and serviced by very experienced and passionate bike enthusiasts. I know a lot of people to the big box store to get bikes. I will never buy another bike or bike related product anywhere else. read more

This please is phenomenal! I stored my Cannondale hybrid of a couple of weeks ago for a tune up. As I was talking to the staff, I commented that since owning it, I was never happy with its shifting. I tried to address this issue at the shop where the bike was originally purchased but they missed the mark. I was honestly thinking of getting a newer bike but decided to take a chance and see if they could fix it. Well.... to say that I am happy with the performance of my bike is an understatement. It performs so much better now! I'm so pleased that with the level of service and professionalism, that I'm brining my road bike and my sister hybrid to them for a tune up! Being that this place is somewhat close , I went in looking for a specific part. I was attended somewhat quick. To my ignorance, I wasn't aware that there was more than one of this part. I'll give the person that. Once I gave the description , he immediately blew me off stating " you need to go to Target for that !" His delivery of this comment was , not only , rude but also insulting as he made it seem that I can't afford a Schwinn. (I have two by the way). As all of us are aware, proper customer service would have been to help in finding the part I need. I got home and immediately jumped online. I , not only , found the part that I need but also found it for half of what he guessed the price was as he did not even bother to look it up . Needless to say , I will not ever be going back. The short mechanic is pretty competent and was able to repair my issue within a few days. The owner is aloof, and probably kinda racist. He did seem to have a bit of an issue with me. The girl at register also seemed to have an issue. I almost felt like other reviewer, that if I had been a different race I would have been treated better. Shame, but then again this is Mt. Took my bike in for a tune up. Gear shifting wasnt working right, brakes needed adjustment. Works like new after the tune up.

I would recommend a different shop. I dropped my mountain bike off for a tune up and to throw on a kick stand that had been missing for years. They told me a few weeks since they are busy, no big deal of course. I asked about a kick stand and he looks at the bike and said yeah we have one for that. It was done in about a week which was great, but when I picked it up the kickstand looked funny. After I went outside I tried resting the bike on the kick stand and it leans so far, it just falls over. After a couple tries, I went back in and the owner said that no kick stands really work on that bike, try and use a vice to bend it. OK, so you charged me for a kick stand that won't work unless I bend(break) it with a vice, and you charged me labor for that as well. To me that is an unethical shop. Just call me and say we don't have a kick stand that works on your bike, no big deal and I would just go without a kick stand. But to knowingly put something and charge for something that doesn't work is 0 for work ethic. Hope this review is helpful. read more

I can not say enough about the service at this bike shop. Last week the shop was not even open yet and a young man who works their took my info and I got a call within 10 minutes of the shop opening with the estimate and pick up time. I have always had same day service and the staff is so helpful and friendly. I drive by two other bike shops to go to Chicagoland Bicycle because the service is SO GOOD! Went in looking for parts, they tried to Howell me a new bike. I didn't go in to argue. They have a great selection and they know their stuff, but seem oriented to selling new bikes and not so much oriented for the do it yourself hobbyist. I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants or needs a bike but doesn't know bikes well. read more

Went here to purchase a bike for our daughter's birthday. Excellent selection. Fair price on trade-ins. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that does not try to upsell or push accessories. I had a gear break on my mountain bike. I guess narrow gangways and brick walls are not the same as mountains and valleys. Anyway, the guys at this store replaced the gear and the bike has never run better. The price was fair. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't crazy either. I guess you get what you pay for. In addition to repairs, they also sell bikes, equipment, etc. There is street parking on Kedzie and on 104th street as well so that is not a problem. For Mount Greenwood residents, this place used to be called "Richard's Schwinn." If you need repairs or are interested in getting something new, stop in and check this place out. I wanted a tire replaced, not patched (as the tire kept tearing, despite their patches), but they just wouldn't listen. I came here, told the owner the story, and he said, "No problem." I went here to buy spin shoes and was quite pleased! One on one customer services, a discount if you were recommended from LA Fitness, and prices much more reasonable than REI in Oak Brook! The salesman even took the time to show me how to "clip in" to the spin bike so that I wouldn't have any problems on my first try. Would definitely recommend!! read more

I bought some bike shorts from Fred the owner. The store has no changing room to try them on unfortunately. I took them home and realized the shorts did not fit correctly. I took the shorts back and Fred the owner was noticeably annoyed because I didn't want to exchange them for something else.
