As for the merchandise, I can usually find good deals on men's dress shirts and great active wear (yoga pants, exercise tops, etc), and some pretty good steals from the junior's clearance (I like to see tops for $3). Great store, I've been shopping here since they opened 15 or so years ago. It is really the only clothing store in Folsom where the whole family can shop for clothing and shoes. And let's not forget the appliance area. Just bought a new Shark vacuum to replace our overpriced Dyson and we are soo happy. Oh, and the clearance racks are fantastic. I have found some amazing deals for myself, hubby & kids too. As for the online service, I bought a down comforter in December via www. and it was supposedly delivered to my front door. Unfortunately, I never received it. I was on hold with customer service forever, (like 30 min.) but when I got through they sent me another comforter, no questions ask. That is a $130 down comforter, no questions asked.... nice! And, I just heard they will stop carrying MyPillow products because the owner supports the Trump incited attack on the Capital Building. I'm not sure if this was a marketing move or Kohl's moral compass, but I'll take it! I prefer the cool comfort pillows anyway! read more

They have some pretty great Clearance racks! I love seeing signs 60-70-80% off! The store is laid out backwards from what I'm used to, but that just gives me more of a reason to explore! Parking is good, but hard to get in and out of the lot. I haven't had any problems finding a clerk to help me and they are all pretty nice. My only complaints are (1) the bathrooms-shabby, shabby, shabby! Not serviced well at all. Very dirty. (2) the shoe dept is always a wreck. I realize that it is an almost losing battle to keep it clean and organized, but when you see the girl walk past several boxes on the floor and not even try to pick them up--then we have a problem. Especially when I can't get my cart down the aisle for the boxes on the floor! Grrr!! read more

I've been a long time customer of Kohl's and I absolutely adore the store. This review is for the credit card department. Like countless other people all over the world, I unexpectedly found myself out of work due to COVID-19. I had paid two months in advance previously so I didn't expect to hear from them. When they called on June 4th I let them know I was out of work due to COVID but hopeful to return. They said they understood and would call back in a month. Since that day, I received no less than 2 phone calls PER DAY from kohl's starting at 8am. I picked up a call tonight and asked them why they are harassing me when I told them what was going on. The guy told me their policy was to call every WEEK for updates. This is ridiculous, in the middle of a global pandemic when people (me included) are trying to figure out how the hell to survive and pay bills this company thinks calling for weekly updates is okay? It's extremely poor taste coming from a very selfish company. Sorry you missed two minimum payments of $27, glad that was worth losing a customer for life. I'll stick with the companies that treat clients with some decency. read more

I live closer to the Arden and Rancho Cordova locations but I drive the extra 20 minutes to this store. It's a lot bigger, has more of a selection, is cleaner, and the customers aren't as rough. I always walk out with a deal, sign up for emails/a Kohl's card and you'll get a $5 gift card and up to 30% off coupons every couple weeks. I recently went in and spent $40 and saved over $200. It's all about timing for savings at this store, shop with a coupon and earn Kohl's cash and it's a never ending deal. And hit up those clearance racks! read more

I shop Kohls often. Bought $60 worth in store and got $10 Kohls cash. Went home and ordered another $20 to be shipped( they didn't have it in stock) Had to return one of the items which now cancelled my Kohls cash. I showed customer service my on line order which was more than what I returned and was made during the Kohls cash timeline. They said they couldn't credit that to the Kohls cash because it hadn't been shipped yet. I shared that I have purchased in the past from their kiosk and then have been able to add that to same day in store purchase and they were able to do it. No problem- do it all the time and the item hadn't been shipped. She gave some excuse about their registers. I know it's only $10, but this really put a sour taste in my mouth and will now rethink about shopping here. Sad that they were not willing to make this work when it could have. I was in Kohls yesterday (Folsom) and I had the rudest sales person (Shakira, I think, jewelery dept 12/27 3:30 p.m.). She refused to even run the coupons I had with me, 3 out of 4 were not expired. She barely said a word, not even asking if I wanted the hangers. For a retail sales person to be incredibly rude to customers is unacceptable. I'll admit, they lure me in with those $10 coupons I get in the mail. I doubt I would go, otherwise. I'm not that into the brands they sell there. So, when I go there--with coupon in hand--It always takes me a while to FINALLY find something that I like...I was there yesterday and I found a vera wang light blue cowl neck blouse--I found it in medium for $5.00 and one in large for $20. I wanted the large since I am preggo(!) I took them both to the register--thinking they would make the adjustment on the price. I was surprised when they told me that the prices were right and they do price accordingly to size at times. (I've heard about diff. prices for colors-but, never for size!) Not a huge deal, I took the medium, but, it just struck me as odd--and funny to me that it was such a HUGE price difference! Sometimes I do see some decent jewelry here--even some silver that seems priced fair...I would come here if I was in a pinch and needed a quick gift...but, I wouldn't go out of my way to go there--not when I can get better brands at marshall's. read more

Mostly for cotton garments, like v-neck and turtle neck basics. incredible prices and nice colors. the majority of the clothing is for women in their teens to 30s though. housewares are not so great. shoes either. but womens and children's clothing is just fine by me. read more

Nice store. Kohls has a lot in common with the dearly departed Mervyns. The layout is open and the registers are up front divided into two groups by the front doors. They almost always have what I'm looking for at a fair price. Don't forget to peruse the clearance racks! The wife and I have come up with some unbelievable deals for the kid. Especially since he's going to outgrow them before he wears them out! Watch for the $10 off stickers that come on the front of the newspaper! They also are constantly doing scratch cards for 15-30 percent off your purchase! Different types of coupons can be stacked, as well...save...Save..SAVE! Even off clearance items! The store sometimes gets crowded and they don't always have enough clerks so minus one star for that.... Otherwise Kohls is the first stop for clothes and shoes when needed. read more

Today I went there again and I found the latest new perfume by JLO but there was a price tag, I went over to the make up/hang bags department and I saw 2 staff working really hard stocking up etc... I ask if they can help me to find out the price of the perfume and one of them stop doing what they were doing and helped me. Yuri was her name, super sweet smile. I encountered a very rude clerk today when I made a purchase! The first thing she asked me is if I would like to apply for a credit card, I declined, but she became very insistent. I again said I was not interested. She did not say ONE MORE WORD TO ME during the rest of the transaction -- didn't tell me the total due, didn't say thank you or come again -- just shoved my blouse & receipt into a bag, then handed it to me. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a kohls! First I thought that it was just the fitting room associate having a bad day. But it continued, every employee I encountered was rude. And to top it off, which made me decide to write a review was the cashier. When I declined the kohls credit card after her asking me over and over. She bunched all the clothes in a ball. I really feel they stage the store this way to make you feel like your getting a good deal by having to dig and search for a item, its a marketing trick. Kohl's cash is a total joke, I would much rather have them take the Kohl's cash off at the register when making my purchase and the only reason why they issue the Kohl's cash is to get you back into the store and on top of that they put a expiration date on the cash so you are forced to purchase something that you may not even need and spending more money. read more

We actually had an employee go all the way out into the parking lot to find us a cart with a kids seat which was way more than we expected someone to do. Well I'm done with this store. Stopped in the other evening to use a ten dollar birthday gift card from them. After searching for something for about a hour I finally found a tee shirt. Got in line, waited in a long line for 45 min. There was only one person checking, while this other employee just saunters about fixing the carts and trying to look busy and sees the lines but does not offer to help. He passes by me and I asked can you help with checking out? Oh sure he replies, and steps up to the cash register. I finally get to the cash register and he informs me that I cannot use the card on the T shirt as it is a sports item and the gift card cannot be used on a sport item. I asked where on the card does it say that? He says "it doesn't" so I said well then if there were limitations on sportswear it should say that on the card.......his response was well it won't let me ring it up. Really? I left and will never be back. The bait and switch gift card......if you get one in the mail just toss it in the trash. Done done done with this store! read more

If you have a problem, don't call customer service. They will put you on hold forever and pass you around all over the place to people who don't speak any English -- not that it's their fault. They're hired to be unhelpful so that people will just hang up in frustration. My advice is to go to the store in person with support troops. read more

This kohls individually sucks. I live in pollock pines and I call before I leave for PHYSICAL stock checks and to verify discounts before driving45 min. The last two times I've gone (thanksgiving and xmas) they don't have what I called to put on hold because none did a physical check and computer was wrong AND Rancho Cordova didn't have either. AND THEY charge me more, not allowing discounts they promised over phone for applying for kohls card on top of a 10% coupon I had combined with kohls cash. ALL PREVIOUSLY VERIFIED ON PHONE BEFORE LEAVING. They lie to get you in and depend on you saying "oh well" and getting it anyway when your already paying in line. read more

This is a nice store. They rarely have any items seen in ads, but they do have cute things. In my experience the clothes don't last long and if you don't shop with coupons you will definitely pay more than you do other places. They are very easy to work with on returning items, however you need to save your receipt. I recently purchased a pair of jeans without trying them on, and when I got home found that the size of the jean was not the size on the hanger. I had the receipt and returned them with no problem at all. When my billing statement arrived there is no record of my credit from the return. The store kept my purchase receipt, and I, unfortunately, didn't keep the return receipt, so I am now paying them for the jeans they have probably re-sold by now. When I called to talk to customer service they openly accused me of lying about the purchase and were very demeaning when explaining to me why receipts are important. "It keeps the store from feeling like you are lying about the return" is what the rude customer service agent told me. I can understand her point, however it wasn't appropriate to speak to a customer that way. I tried to explain that I had trusted they would do their job and actually process the return and she said "if you made a return it would have been processed. Too bad you don't have the receipt to validate your story". Needless to say I won't be shopping at any Kohls stores in the future after being treated this way. read more
