Ahhhmazing customer service!…read more On a beautiful Saturday, I had decided to check out Gold Country Run + Sport in the El Dorado Hills Town Center. My GF was raving about the shoe selection and how great and knowledgeable the employees were in fitting sport shoes. When I walked in and started looking around there were no other customers (When I left it was getting busy.). A woman who looked pretty young came out and asked if I needed help. I instantly "kinda" mentally wrote her off as the employee who drew the short straw and got "Saturday" duty and probably knew nothing about shoes. Mea culpa:). Well... I was wrong! She ended up being one of the best persons I have talked to about walking and/or running shoes! She first measured my feet and we went from there. Honestly I did not know that much about the comfort level of a high end sport shoe until that day. What a difference in feel versus my Costco tennies!:) I must have tried on 10 pair of shoes. Finally narrowing it down to a Hoka, Clifton, wide. Ok now I am jazzed. I can hardly wait to start walking in these ultra comfortable shoes. I came in not knowing the difference between a hookah versus a Hoka:) So a big thank you to that young woman. I urge anyone looking for high end shoes, running apparel and, gear needs (Yes needs!) to visit, independently owned, Gold Country Run + Sport. Such individualized customer service. Seriously, I felt like a VIP. Great selection of everything. Inventory displayed professionally. Clean. Competitive pricing. My shoes were on sale. Woohoo! End of summer. I could not be happier with this Company... serving greater Sacramento right here in beautiful El Dorado Hills. Free parking, open 7 days a week, and all levels of fitness welcomed. What a find!

I came here for shoes when I first started running and I keep coming back! I hadn't been in a while…read moreso this time I used the machine to look at my feet and tried on several new pairs. The gal who helped me brought out four to try, but the first one she picked actually fit and felt the best for me. They have a wide selection of shoes and gear and are very knowledgeable. I've always had great service here and recommend it for any one who wants high quality running shoes.

When unsure about the shoes I want, I am open-minded to all the brands. I will come to Rack Room…read moreShoes. They carried many different types of shoes from various brands at reasonable prices. There are many stores selling shoes in Folsom Premium Outlets. But many of them are owned by one brand. You can look for the shoes with different colors or different styles. But not other brands. So, if you don't know what brand of shoes you want. Rack Room Shoes are your best choice. The store is pretty much a self-service store. You find the shoes you want. Find the size and try it on. Pay for it at the cashier counter if you want it. Of course, they'll give you the answer if you have a question.

False Advertising!…read more Grabbed two pairs of shoes under their buy one get one 50% off sale but was told only one of them counts and the second one would not be half off. Then I went to pay for the one pair of shoes and although it was advertised on sale, the cashier would not accept the advertised price. Said that that promotion has ended and someone forgot to take the tag off. I've worked in retail before and you are supposed to honor the advertise price especially when it's right in front of the box of shoes. Based on principle alone I will not shop there. I don't support stores that falsely advertise. I may have not given a negative review if it was just one issue but since it was both I felt like I needed to let others know to pay attention to the prices and to ask questions.
