On a recent Saturday afternoon, I bopped in here to look at men's casual shoes. I was immediately greeted, which was nice. The store was clean and organized. No wild piles of boxes or shoes scattered about, which drives me bonkers. I easily found the shoe (it was a brand name athletic casual shoe), they even had it in the right size. Score. But after looking at it all up close and personal, I noticed this years style had a few changes. It had a thicker heel padding and thin colored piping. The associate even asked if I needed help. I really like to try my shoes on before purchasing and found that this place has a huge assortment of comfortable flats. I found some by Eurosoft which fit within my budget and I even checked out their clearance section and found a pair of slip-on sneakers from Roxy for $15. Overall tons of decent brands sold here including BearPaw, Minnetonka, Roxy, Converse, Nike, vans and others. I didn't check out the kids or men's section but was really impressed by the selection, cleanliness and customer service. The prices were reasonable too. Would come back again. read more

Considering this place was the only store that had the shoes I wanted, I had to drive 30+ minutes to pick them up at the store. I work late most days and this was the only day I had gotten off pretty early. I had gotten there around 8:10 because the store had said on google that they closed at 9. The ladies were just coming out and had said they close at 8 now. Which is fine, that isn't anything they could control. HOWEVER when I did come to get them the next day, the staff was rude--saying I had come "before closing this time!" And to make things worse they didn't even have my order ready. Someone had put it back on the rack and they had tried to have me search for it even though it was only my second time at the store. I had more purchases in mind but at that point I was fed up and just wanted to leave. I will never be coming back and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. Put them on this morning wore them for 2 hours before my ankles were so sore from the back part of the boot collapsing evertime I walk. I tried to take them back this afternoon and because I wore them for 2 hours, and was honest about that I can't return them!! So lesson learned 1. Only shop at stores with a decent return policy. I had just been to another large shoe store down the street where I got ZERO help and nobody on the floor helping anyone other than to ring you up. It also didn't help that every single time I found a pair of shoes I liked, they were out of my size in it. What a difference this store made. So better stocked, help available, friendly employees that were extremely helpful, and got my treasures after a daunting search for the perfect dressy shoe. They also had a wonderful sale of getting a second pair 1/2 off, which I took advantage of after being ready to leave the store with my one pair. Bought my daughter shoes for Christmas, she couldn't even get them on they were too small, tried to return them the next day and they said they couldn't take them because they were worn, I'm not sure how they could've been worn when they didn't even fit her, they were spotless. Probably the worst customer service I've ever had. My son went to get some shoes, the bottoms were black, the manager tried to tell me it was from trying them on. These shoes had clearly been worn outside. When I asked for a discount the manager was very rude and denied me. Just tried to shop here and walked in 15 minutes before closing - we were actually anti-greeted by a sales associate as we walked in the door. He let us know that the store was closing in 10 minutes (apparently they close 5 minutes early tonight?!?) and so if we know what we want we can grab it and purchase. Found a pair of shoes for my 7 year old that were on sale. After finding his size we took the shoes to the counter to pay. The shoes rang up as the none sale price which was almost twice as much. After a discussion with the clerk that the shoes were indeed the exact shoes on sale and were placed under the tag with the sale price she claims it was because they were a different size. I bought a pair of shoes from the clearance section. I never even took them out of the bag because I decided that I didn't like the color for the outfit I had purchased them to match. I waited ten days since I had written a check and then went to return them. The manager, Nate, refused to let me return or exchange them, claiming I had worn them. The only way these shoes were worn would have been if they took them back from someone else that way! They didn't look worn to me, obviously. In addition, Nate was extremely rude and belligerent. I just went to this store today and I am planning to get a running shoes for my husband for valentines day, also a formal shoes for me, my daughter and for my 2 year old son for his baptism next week. We went to Baby's R Us first to buy few items and my toddler get so tired sitting in the cart. He started to get cranky so I gave him a bottle of milk and he is laying down in the cart. Anyways, "Famous Footwear" is just right next door of Baby's R Us. Then we came inside this shoe store, the male associate came to me (which I though he will greet me first). He said right away..."You need to step outside because you are using a cart that is not ours" (I am pushing Baby's R Us shopping cart). Then called the (Asian girl) to check out money. When we asked why, she said fake bills are going around el dorado county. Why are you going to disrespect us by holding up every 20 dollar bill to check when they make a pen to do so. What a horrible experience I had there. I got some Sperry shoes for my birthday from a different location. They were a half size too big. I went to Folsom to exchange them. I had my receipt. I was told there was a price difference. It was just a bit of change like 27 cents so I didn't try to argue it. I was one penny short and didn't want to use my debit card for such a small amount so I kept digging in my purse and daughter did the same. No more change between us. all the while the cashier is showing his frustration. Since he was being a jerk my daughter decided to question him on the price difference. He said it was because Folsom has higher rates than Roseville because it is a more upscale town.with wealthier people. Huh what? At this point I turned around to see if daughter had heard and was surprised to see the line had grown at least a dozen people deep. I was stunned he would let the line grow for a freaking penny. I ended up taking the change back and using my debit card only because of the line.
