Went to the Folsom Factory Outlet stores. Merrell was one of the stores there. I had no idea or I would have gone sooner. Merrell's are an awesome shoe. They are the most supportive shoe I have found for work and hiking. They are best made shoes I have found that don't fall apart with all the walking I do for work and the hiking on the weekend. The staff at the store were very friendly, professional, and helpful and the prices were better than I have found online or elsewhere with some shoes discount priced and the rest were buy one get the other half off. Came in to pick up a pair of H2O shoes. Friendly service, good selection. I have recently discovered Merrell. My first two pair were purchased on-line. I have two hiking boots that have held up very well. So I decided to come in for these H2O shoes because I didn't have time to order on-line. I never had Merrell shoes until I visited this store. Parking is not bad. The shoes are comfy, and I like the discount they offer here, but I would argue how well the employees know which shoes are best for what sport. The employees use polite words and know where to find everything; however, the "walking shoes" that I could also use for "running", according to the salesperson, which is what I was looking for made my feet ache and were worn out in less than a year. I was told to size up to accomodate my orthotics. As a result, my socks tore up the inside heel of my Merrell shoes. I had a second pair of Merrell shoes that would not fit my orthotics, but were nice and coushy for the first couple of months; then, my feet started to cramp in them when walking. read more

Added bonus they have great deals from buy 1, get 1 or 50% off 2nd pair and we never miss out on a GREAT deal purchasing our Merrell hiking shoes. Our latest visit I was looking for a trail runner and the sales associate went above and beyond with finding several different types of hiking and trail runners for me to try on. She was not only patient with me but made different suggestions on size, styles and fit - beyond helpful!! The trail runner I selected my hubby liked so much he found in the men's section and we scored a great deal of 50% off the 2nd pair - discussion in the car of who scored the deal LOL. We walked out of the Merrell Outlet Store with the original purchase for my hubby's replacement for his hiking shoes and we both went home with new trail runners. Before coming to this shop, we went in the shop across the walkway. Kind of a coin toss situation to see who's first. We walked in, saw a millennial leaning on the back counter looking down at his phone... We literally turned around and walked out. Then into this store, and it was love at first sight. We were immediately greeted by a sales clerk, who asked a few simple questions. Took us to the part of the store we needed, and were helped by a second incredibly knowledgeable staff member who worked with my wife to find the perfect shoe for her needs (work, lots of standing, good back support). Multiple shoes tried on in side by side comparisons (reminded me of an eye exam... Number one.... Or two... Lol). I've waited to put on this review to see my wife's experience wearing the shoe at work. She's actually having less back pain and is more happy at work. Great staff make a huge difference. The Merrell Outlet Store in Folsom will have what you need at an affordable price but better than that, is the attentive, expert, friendly customer service especially from Marianne and Ashley! These gals are super customer service oriented!! As an outlet location, they carry generally end of the season merchandise but you may find new products also. Make sure you let them know if you're a veteran as they will give you a 10% discount on top of all the current promotions! We walked out of the store with a pair of Kassie Moccasins for me and an Accentor 2 Vent which my husband literally has not taken off since he got them-they're so lightweight and comfortable! My boyfriend and I used to hike and are finally getting back into it again and decided to stop here to get some proper shoes. Jessica greeted us and helped us as soon as we walked in. After we explained what we were looking for, she grabbed several pairs of shoes to start with for both of us. She took the time to properly explain what we wanted to look for, should we decide to get more hiking shoes in the future. She also took the time to make sure the shoes would fit our feet most comfortably for hiking as well. My boyfriend has larger than average size feet and she really made sure he found the right shoe for him. She pulled out probably 10 pairs for us each in the end to find the right shoe for both of us and made sure we walked out with something we were happy with. Thanks to her, I actually found out I've been wearing the wrong size shoe for years! Lol. Overall, it was a really great and informative experience for us. The racial profiling in this store is HORRENDOUS!! In a matter of 5 minutes, my family and I were asked if we "needed help" finding things while actively trying on shoes. Continued to be watched and disrespected. The young staff being combative when offered the suggestion that they should be also assisting and offering assistance the patrons who weren't people of color. Comfy shoes! Let' go explore! Comfy shoes that take you from point A to point Z. This Merrell store is awesome and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. What I love about this particular Merrell store... is that you can get your feet scanned and the computer will figure out your actual shoe size! I've always thought I was 8.5 and have been buying the wrong size shoes for many years. No wonder my toes hurt so bad. So the computer scanner also figure out what kind of arch you have and recommends an insole support that will be customized for your feet. Ooooh la la shoes and insoles so comfortable and you can go anywhere. I've actually worn my Merrell sandals to paint the inside of the house. I found that they were the least painful to stand on for an all day project. The soles are super comfy that they are almost lovingly caressing your feet. I wear my Merrells everywhere... Farmer's Market.... weekend trekking... and just bought some water proof boots for the upcoming rainy weather. read more

I was promptly greeted and left to browse on my visit today after being told about the current promotions. The salesperson was attentive, knowledgeable, and answered my questions regarding a particular shoe I was looking for. They recommended the REI in the nearby Palladio Shopping Center, and explained that as an outlet they occasionally get new product but mostly items from the previous season.
