The manager was juggling helping a pretty full store like a pro, was upbeat and friendly, and astonishingly knowledgeable about leather shoes and boots and the Red Wing brand. Today I bought my first pair of Red Wings, the Iron Ranger in black. I usually wear an 11.5 generally speaking and have B- or C-width feet. I was certain I was an 11 since they are known to run long. IT felt huge but not too bad and I was almost going to get them when the manager said to try the 10.5 pair. He said I'd be surprised; they are much smaller in volume but barely shorter. Lo and behold I put them on and they fit and looked a million times better. I have them on breaking them in as I write this. I forgot to get the guy's name but I made sure to shake his hand. I work in custom clothing and shoe sales and appreciate geeat customer service. read more

Staff are rude and inconsiderate of time. The return policy does not apply to discount/discontinued items. You'd never know this unless the staff told you (if they didn't forget). read more

Great friendly customer service. I was very impressed with them! As far as the product, even though these boots have a big price tag they're well worth every penny. They last a long time and are super supportive. read more

I recently purchased a pair of Irish Setter boots from Red Wing, and after just 15 days of use, I noticed a huge hole exposing the safety toe. Clearly, this was a result of horrendous workmanship because I take care of my boots like a responsible adult. When I tried to return them or at least get some sort of resolution, I was greeted by *Nicolas*, the manager, who was so rude and condescending, I thought I was in a bad sitcom. Instead of offering a solution, he wanted to argue with me like it was my fault these boots fell apart. Let's talk about how disappointed I am. My family has spent easily $1,200 at this store in the last three months, and *this* is the customer service we get? I guess that means nothing to Red Wing, because clearly, Nicolas was too busy with his attitude to help me. If this is the standard of service they pride themselves on, then maybe it's time for a company-wide reality check. I'm done. No more money from me, no more visits. I'll take my business elsewhere where they actually *care* about quality and customers. Red Wing, do yourself a favor and retrain this manager because his attitude alone is enough to make me never want to step foot in your store again. These boots weren't cheap, and neither is the frustration I'm feeling. Terrible, just terrible. read more

I've tried to purchase Red Wing boots in the past, trying to find a fit on my own. There are so many fits and styles that I couldn't find what I needed. I went into the Sunrise. Store, was helped by Forest, and left that store completely satisfied. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave me exactly what I needed. I would recommend the store, and Forest in particular as a sales person. read more

'Manager' Nicholas has no customer service skills. I was sent by another location to pick up boots for my husband. The other store checked the inventory and said they had 6 pair. Nicholas began by lecturing me that the other store SHOULD have called him first, that I would be lucky if they had one. They don't keep all of the stock on location. They have a storage unit somewhere. Like I was stupid and I should know this. Without checking what I needed or if they had them he was very condescending and basically said they didn't have them. I asked him to stop multiple times. If it was an issue, then should be having that conversation with the other store. Not a 20 year paying customer. Unprofessional. Unkind. Horrible customer service. Another guy helped me and apologized for his behavior but it was uncalled for. When I asked for his name, he laughed and said I 'could figure it out'. Looks like I did. After I completed my purchase, he proceeded to come outside and smoke and stare at me in my car. Real nice behavior sir. read more

Great service! Love the shoes! Ours were in back order for a while and they kept us updated and promptly called when they came in.

They ended up replacing my boots because they did not sale me extra wide with box toe boot. They back dated my warranty on the boots they replaced. Bottom line their boots are not worth what you pay for them. They only come with a year warranty on them. When you spend $300.00 on a pair of boots the warranty should be longer. Will never buy red wings again better boots out their for have the prize. Overpriced on everything in there store. read more

I won't go to another redwing boots store. The team here is helpful and professional.

Excellent business. Just bought a pair of boots from them, staff were super friendly and helpful. They made sure that I was getting the perfect pair. Cannot recommend doing business with Red Wing enough. read more

This IS as good as it gets. For shoes, more specifically quality shoes...more specifically boots...more specifically hunting and/or work boots. First you are greeted by a friendly professional face. The service provided by Katelyn was excellent. The knowledge she had was phenomenal....she's actually an expert and I believe it. So, customer service was excellent. The quality of the shoes are also excellent. If you are looking for hunting boots or work boots, this should be your go to place. Yes, you will pay a nice shiny penny for quality boots. You also get free laces and cleaning/oiling for the life of the boots. Resoling is done onsite as well. I'm telling all of my friends...get your hunting and work boots here!! :) Very satisfied. PS. Go online at get your $20 off too. read more

This is the place to go for your Red Wing's. I received professional, courteous service, and observed many long- time regulars doing business during my visit. They took the time to help me find the right boot ( I tried on 4 pairs ), and were very patient and helpful. I left with the perfect pair and couldn't be happier. read more

I learned so much about boots and what my feet need from Nicholas. Very cheerful and accommodating. I'll stick with redwing boots from here on out. And Nicholas always has ranch dressing on hand, just in case. What more can you ask for! read more

I've been wanting a pair of Red Wing Mocs for awhile but couldn't come to a decision when trying to order online. I finally decided to wander in the store yesterday and I'm so happy I did! Both employees were very helpful and patient with me as I tried on pair after pair. They were knowledgeable and genuinely friendly and not at all pushy. So happy with my experience and even more happy with my new boots. I'll for sure be purchasing more shoes here in the near future!! read more

I have shopped at Red Wing stores dozens of times and this location multiple times. This morning was another shining example of the outstanding customer service we have come to expect from Red Wing. I bought my husband a pair of boots 3 months ago, last night the sole started to seperate. We arrived at the store this morning and within 10 minutes we had been fully compensated and the boots were exchanged, NO questions asked. Lifetime Red Wing customers. read more

A great store with great customer service. I walked in the store today to purchase some safety boots. My boyfriend had to get a pair of workboots and had a voucher to come here. The service was great! I brought a pair of work boots to red wing which were in impeccable condition and they just needed to be re-soled. When I arrived to pick up the boots I noticed that there was a large chip in the leather where the leather was hanging off. Also scrapes that weren't there when I dropped them off. The killer polish job that had taken a long time to achieve was gone. The boots looked terrible...with a new sole. Total waste of $85...if I knew that they were gonna thrash them I would have rather bought a new pair. Their stance was that they cannot guarantee what was there or was not there since the boots are worn. That is understandable...but the fact that they thrashed my like-new boots is not. I have no idea what they did while they were re-soling them. I will never go back to that store. read more

U get what you pay for never held truer than here. I have been wearing red wing boots for years on the railroad and as an industrial painter. For painting I really love vasque boots for sheer comfort. I go with red wing boots when it's a heavy duty project like sand blasting and they hold up. Very nice to have quality and service close to home read more

This review is for tge blue collar guys out there that seem to plow through their shoes. For years I was going through two pair of work boot a year because I would only spend $60 on them. About six years ago there was a deal at work that red eing was offering. I went and reluctantly bought a psir of steel toe wirk boots for at the time I thought was a massive amount of money, about $180. Well that pair of boot are just now starting to were out. I saved a tone of money over the last six years on shoes. Although im sure they're a lot more now and im dreading spending the money. What can I say, some lessons are hard to learn. :) read more

My first time buying Red Wing but have always heard great things. The Manager for this Citrus Heights store, Nicolas, is very knowledgeable about the boots and sizing and what boot should work best. We set up a Business Acct so that all the groundscrew for our company can get the best boot possible with their yearly boot allowance. Thank you Nicolas, for being so accommodating and for your great customer service. I love my boots :) read more

I was happy with my experience at this Red Wings store. Jerry helped me and let me try six pairs of boots, I wanted comfort, waterproof, steel toe and made in America. They only have one shoe totally made in America. I did not buy that shoe, unfortunately it was not waterproof. Out the door cost for my Chinese boots $213. Service was perfect! read more

Nicolas was an amazing and knowledgeable sales person. My husband and I arrived with the intention of buying one pair of work boots, and we left with two pair of boots and four pair of insoles- 2 for me. Not everything was in stock, but we received updates from Nicolas about availability and expected delivery times. He has a relaxed style but is excellent with his follow through and very articulate. He knows his product. Redwing has such a great quality product, and it is rewarding to see the same quality in the staff. Thank you! read more

please allow me to explain. you will never in all your life find a true shoe man like the ones i used to know growing up. the gentleman working here in this true shoe store shows awsome integrity. awsome workmanship on his knowledge of the shoe and how it works with and for the foot.the foot holds the body.when the feet are not happy neither is the knees then the back and so on. this is what a shoe store is.not like the ones in the mall. read more

Not impressed. Don't waste your Money. I paid $200 for a pair of boots and only got 6 months out of them. The stiching started to come loose on the back of the boots and the soles were completely shot. I do HVAC for a living and I'm pretty hard on boots but this is ridiculous considering they're supposed to be the best. I've purchased just about every brand of work boot and the quality and durability of Red Wings is sub par at best, especially for $200. I even went back and paid $80 to get my boot resoled. Guess what? The sole started the peel of the boot 7 days later ! What a joke! I went back to get a refund on the resoling and I was told there is no refunds after they've been worn. It was their mistake and they wanted me to drive the boots to their shop in Roseville. I needed them back asap, but I wasn't going to waste my gas or time and sit there while they fixed them again. Why should I have to deal with that headache when it was their mistake in the first place? Not even a "Sorry about that sir" or "How about a discount on your next purchase or a free arch support?" Nothing, just terrible customer service. I was clearly unhappy and the Manager didn't even try. I was bothering him because I was unhappy with their crappy work. Go figure. Good job Red Wing, you forever lost my business. Two thumbs down! read more
