They now block an exit because they don't want to spend their money for security. If there was a fire in this Kohl's, then there is one emergency exit and it is blocked by iron gates so now there is only one exit, and that would be a bottleneck of an issue. read more

I saw a pair of sandals for $23.99 on the shelf. It rang up for $39.99. I explained the issue to the cashier, who called Alfonso over to take a look. When he did, he said that anyone could move the price tag to another shoe and he would not honor the $23.99 price. However, I had wanted the white sandal in question, and he was claiming that the sale price was for a black sandal. There were no black sandals for sale, so I do not understand why he had a price sticker for one in the first place. I consider this a dishonest sales practice and possibly a breach of law because he did not honor the advertised price. Also, the clerk would not honor the coupon code I provided. I had been in the store earlier that day with the same coupon. The clerk claimed that it could only be used online and it clearly states on the coupon that it can be used in the store or online. read more

Shopped at Kohl's two days in a row only to find slow check out times and long lines. And, while I'm at it, why are Kohl's clothing prices listed high, only to have signs above show discounted prices? The clothing is only worth the discounted price. I don't think anyone is fooled that they are getting a sale price. That's what the price should be or the clothing is worth the first time. Please stop the nonsense. They have a limited selection of men's clothing. What causes me to only give two stars is how incredibly slow getting through the checkout is. My son and I stood in line 15 minutes! There was one person in front of us and THREE cashiers working. The cashiers were waiting on phone calls, management and who knows what else. I would have walked out had my picky son not found a nice shirt he liked. -Kohls, empower your employees to handle everything or keep the person nearby who can. I love Kohl's because the prices are really low and their clearance racks are awesome. They send me shopping passes, discounts, and insider promotions to make everything even less. BUT... and this is the big but, good luck finding your size in the color you want on the rack its supposed to be on. This Kohls is a bit disorganized. They aren't very well stocked, and they tend to have a ton of the median sizes but not a fair selection that runs the gambit. Another thing that gets me, as far as women's clothing goes, you go from trendy teen section to the blah suburban mom section. There is no clear misses section or anything in the women's section that cries 20-30's. Its a great store if you willing to overlook the disorganization and really dig for what you want, because when you find what you want, its usually a great deal. read more

I like Kohls for all their sales. If you buy something for full price at Kohl's you're a fool. However, store management at this location is horrible. On a weeknight the line was 8+ customers long with 2 cashiers. 2 other employees were doing other tasks and 2 employees were chit chatting in the jewelry department directly behind the registers. The employees had to "walk around" the line. This went on for over 10 minutes. (I kept looking at my watch) I finally asked if they could open more registers and received attitude "I'll see what I can do". They finally opened another register. I CANNOT imagine what this store looks like during the holidays. read more

This is in reference to Kohls website. I live in New Mexico. They have stores in New Mexico. BUT for some reason the shipping option DOES NOT recognize my address as being in the continental United States. Do they have access to a map?? Do they have anyone smart enough to actually read a map??? If not - hire someone smart enough to realize basic geography. Or even better yet educate yourself and your staff. I had returns which Liz helped me with, I did have to go back as she missed an item, but it was handled nicely and I enjoyed my chat with her. The return/pickup line does have a wait but this is a large City to take it with grace. Checkouts were long but we went to another area of the store and walked right up, so it's worth walking and seeing which areas have more customers. The store looks like ROSS, meaning there are clothes everywhere! But, it is that time of year and back to school shopping. Dressing rooms were full of others clothing, things that were put back weren't in the right spots. I think they just lack enough employees. The young lady that helped me at checkout was really nice. If the store was picked up better, you would buy more, hence the three stars. But I am thankful to have it close by. I did go home and order an item they didn't have and will pick it up when it's there later in the week. There were items we wanted but just couldn't find in the clothing chaos. read more

I went to the kohls on Paseo to the jewelry department to exchange a ring for a smaller size. Paseo did not have what I needed and they called this kohls. Personnel at this kohls told Paseo customer service that they did have what I needed. Left the slocation and drove all the way to the Cottonwood location. When I got there they figured out that they didn't have the size I needed after all. What a waste of time. Granted the girl behind the counter delivered the blow with a smile. PROCEED WITH CAUTION AND BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL WHERE WE SPEND OUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I often will have an item shipped to store. NOTE: Even though this company says its free to ship its not, they sneak the fee cost into the tax so we are clueless we are paying for the ship to store; its not free like Kohls says. Nevertheless, this last online pickup visit at this Ellision location was the final straw as to where I will spend my hard earned money going forward. On Saturday, I went to the customer service desk for my online pickup. As I approached the area, there were 2 non attentive non interested not working kohl employees behind the customer service desk chatting it up behind the desk. I walked to the very front of the wait in line area and stood there; I started counting. After nearly 43 seconds waiting I finally walked up to the counter and was then forced to say are you open back here. They both finally stopped talking and 1 says oh we didn't see you there. Really! I then said how long was I going to stand in this wait line till you did. After finding out order pickup was no longer in this area, the 1 non worker attempts to give directions within the store where it was moved. After walking the shoe area she says its in and did not see any signs for pickup in the shoe area she directed me to, I was forced to stop at the checkout area and ask the cashier where. The cashier said where it was. NOTE: IT IS NO WHERE NEAR THE SHOE AREA! That non worker, because all the employees here and at all other locations are just so very extremely rude, gave me directions, wrong of course, on purpose! Finally getting to the area for pickup, its the guy who thinks its only US who is in kohls stores to steal and the same guy who follows me every single time, which is funny as all hell because WE who are into reality, while he's following US, the real thieves have already gotten away right. After wasted time and finally getting my order I ask him is this a permanent or temp area for pickup. Of course doesn't know anything and guesses if it is or isn't. Of course you don't know anything but what you were trained and that is to obviously stereotype right. I won't go on. But to say I've had it. I've had it with companies who not only lack diversity but refuse to train its employees in diversity. It shows and is always the reason WE are treated so very differently. I mentioned in this post about this 1 stupid experience on Saturday, but its the same stupid experience time after time. And just cause I've spent my hard earned money?! I decided company's with their discriminatory employees it hires insist on making it a horrid experience on every single visit, should I continue to spend my hard earned money! NOTE: I'm usually on kohls site seeing what I like and will purchase next but instead, I'm forced to waste my valuable time in writing about the same stupid racist visits yet again to kohls stores. Next I will be gathering many of the items, yes still with tags, and upon my next visit to your store, I will be returning, not picking up and get my money back and spend it elsewhere. If you don't keep receipts, be sure you still have the credit card you purchased the item on. Since my CC had been compromised and needed to be replaced, I fortunately had the receipt. read more

I love Kohls. They have great products at really good prices. They also offer Kohls bucks several times throughout the year. They are always sending us mailers with 15-30% off of everything. Theres no catch or small print. From my experience, their products are good quality. The only reason I'm taking away a star is for their makeup area. There is never any staff around this area to help, it is often disorganized, and people are super messy with the tester samples. For this reason, I opt to get my makeup at Sephora. But everything else is great! read more

I shopped at the Kohls on Ellison last week. I purchased enough to earn $30 on Kohls cash. The cashier gave me my voucher. I didn't think anything of it until I went to Kohls today to redeem it. I handed it to the cashier and she tells me that it was already redemed last week at another store!!!! What happened to the Kohls cash that I earned??? I couldn't believe it! That cashier handed me a someone elses redemed cash and kept mine! The manager told me that there was nothing she could do and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I was really embarassed. I used to like shopping here but after this experience I don't know if i'll be back. I will definitely let everyone know that I know about my awful experience. read more

There is a reason I don't shop at this store very often. Horrible HORRIBLE customer dis-service. The store is a MESS and it is difficult to find stuff. May as well shop at Marshalls or TJ Max!! I have gotten lucky occasionally with an on-line purchase but more times than not, I had to return. Hence the occasional jaunt to this store. Today I purchase quite a few clothing items but it was soooo PAINFUL to shop there! I almost passed out waiting in line to check out while they fumbled and jerked around. Now, I am not a retail manager but the LAST place you want people to wait is at check out where they give you money and buy your stuff! Right?? So after 15+ minutes it is my turn and I start to check out, all of a sudden (when there is only one other person waiting not 6 like 15 minutes ago) the manager shows up and opens another register!! OMG and they want to raise the minimum wage???? Seriously???? Go to Penny's..same price point, more organized store and much better customer service! read more
