Terrible experience today.
Ordered a scone and a muffin with 2 of the same smoothies. I asked what was in the smoothie that was on their menu and none of the staff knew, they had to ask each other and check the menu. We sat down and we were brought the scone with no knife, no butter, no jam. Had to go back up and ask for it, was given a knife & butter and the knife was dirty!
10 minutes waiting, flies were flying around the scone and muffin so we had to eat them straight away before getting our smoothies as there was no sign of them coming. Staff weren't busy, so I went to ask where the smoothies were, they checked the order on the till and said they'd get right on it.. another 10 minutes pass, I'm watching 2 staff members taking ages making the smoothies and then eventually one of them shows up with 1 smoothie instead of 2. We ordered 2 of the same so they could easily have put double the ingredients in the blender and make them together. At this point I went up to get a refund on the second unmade smoothie and one of the girls apologised and said it was just that it was so busy and everyone ordered at once. Which is a straight up lie. There was only 2 couples at other tables and there was no queue before or after my order and I was watching the staff talking when I was waiting for the smoothies. I got the refund of one smoothie and left with the other, tasted it outside and it was the most disgusting smoothie we've ever tasted. Every bit of fruit & veg in that smoothie had gone off. It tasted like watery, icy earth. It went into the bin. Terrible customer service making us wait 20 minutes for a bloody smoothie and for it to come out tasting disgusting, terrible hygiene with the flies and dirty knife. And then to be lied to when she said it was so busy. Waste of money, waste of time. And I've sinced asked around Ballyfermot and apparently my experience is the new normal for Koffee & Kale. It's gone downhill fast. And every single person I spoke to, mentioned the flies. read more
