If you ask for your money back, he will tell you he has bought materials but never provide any proof. If you call Bruno out for his poor performance, he will gaslight you and again blame everyone but himself, including you. I decided to work with Bruno despite a few bad reviews. I figured everyone makes mistakes. But when Bruno makes them, he will not make them right. The only reason I have not pursued a lawsuit against him is that lawyers cost money and Bruno has a history of not paying the settlements against him. It's possible that Bruno has improved his business practices in the year since we last interacted, but I wouldn't bet on it. Neither should you.

Eligio proposed several materials and adjusted them in line with the specific features we were looking for. We wanted a surface that would be both stable under the specific conditions (directly up against the foundation of our house and next to the sloping retaining wall, but also more porous than the asphalt. Eligio and his crew did a meticulous job to make sure the ground was properly regraded to improve water flow away from the house while making the surface more porous (hence the wider spacing between the cobblestones. He also adapted the design so I could have some planting space between the wall and the cobble stone. We were impressed with the crew's diligence and efficiency. Given the particular challenges and materials we were looking for, I consider the price to have been very fair.

He and a coworker came by today to take a look at the damage. They found that the problem was due to the lack of a drip edge, which caused the wood to rot over time, and the gutter to fill with water and partially collapse. The screws attaching the eave to the soffit, which had more severely collapsed, fell out due to the rotted wood. Because the needed repairs were more extensive than what initially seemed like a straightforward fix (per the photo I sent them), they recommended I contact a roofer to make the repairs. Rob and his coworker were both very helpful, honest, and a pleasure to work with. They did not charge me for coming out to my house or for the diagnosis. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again if needed.

Once to repair/flatten shingles around a dormer and another time to patch a hole where a chimney was removed. For the dormer project, he ordered a whole package of shingles and let us keep the unused ones. That was helpful because we used those same shingles for the patch project. Barcco Services gave us a quote to remove the chimney AND patch the roof. His quote was really low compared to the chimney masons who also gave an estimate. We ultimately decided that using both companies would maximize the expertise and give the best value. We were very pleased with their cooperation and coordination. Later, we recommend Barcco Services to a neighbor and they were pleased also. The estimate was lower than they expected.

For the last five years we have been trying to get "one more year" out of the roof. When the vendor who cleans our gutters said we had a roofing section down to bare wood we became mobilized. On December 26th, using Google reviews, we called the first roofer presenting, Pinnacle Exteriors, (they had 20 five-star reviews and was from the neighboring town) Chris was over within about two hours that same day, had taken photos and was able to show us where the issues existed. We considered other roofers, some even recommended by close friends, but Chris stood out with his no nonsense, can do, we can fit it in during a break in the weather over the next two weeks, approach. Other roofers didn't seem to want the job. Chris considers this time of year in many ways optimal to be installing a roof. When a clear weather day approached with a 40 degrees forecast, Chris let me know that was the day. On Jan 23, 2024, a crew of nine arrived and completed both house and garage roof replacements in one day (7:30 am to 5:00 pm). Chris and his entire crew are very professional, knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with. They are real craftsmen taking extra care in all their work. Even repairing some issues with our chimneys and gutters. Chris and his son Nick went into the attic and covered everything and then cleaned up after. They did a thorough clean up and also used a large rolling magnet to pick up all the nails. Chris came back the next day after the dumpster was removed to again do a magnet sweep of the driveway. This company is very detail oriented. We were extremely pleased with the result and the look of the roofs. Did you know, Chris is also a great carpenter! This year he was back for another big job and some smaller yet tedious jobs. We had him repair and cover all the exposed (and some rotted) exterior wood on our entire 1920 house. That included the wood window trim, soffits and trim around all the doors. It was a big job as we have a large multi family house. He replaced the house numbers, and also did some paint touch up. We also decided to have him replace four outside storm doors which also meant rewiring the doorbells or installing wireless doorbells. He also supplied and installed windows, including those hard to get to windows in the basement. He probably did more work that I don't even know about as he takes pride in his work and is meticulous. Overall, for me, Bryson Builders was a great decision, because Peter, the contractor, has experience with the insurance claim process; he is not "salesy" and listened to my concerns/questions; and he had a thorough estimate that clearly outlined all the work that would be completed. Having never been through a renovation, the repair process went beyond my expectations. Given that my roommate and I were still living in my home through the process, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The Bryson Builders team members were professional and treated my home well. For the most part, the work area was cleaned on a daily basis and I can see progress as time passed. Due to my schedule, I appreciated the flexibility in being able to communicate with Peter via phone or email. I received updates from Peter frequently allowing me to be mentally prepared and/or to prepare my home as necessary. The finished product is so amazing, from the quality paint job throughout the home, the installation of the countertops, electrical work, and the bathroom tiling to the roof replacement.
