Still some of the best wings I've ever had. If I can mkae an excuse to be in DC, I will always make it a point to come here.

We were in the neighborhood for a concert and decided to try this place out for some wings. The place is a small restaurant but has that hidden gem feel to it. We ordered bulgogli and a chicken combo with garlic soy. Everything tasted pretty good . The service was good. I would try this place again .

Food good, but they continue to raise the prices! I can't go back here anymore, was good getting in the other day but for some food you have to sit in your car or go home and by the then it's not hot, it's too expensive.

Let me start out by saying this place is awesome!!! I was in town for a few days and in my few days I manage to check this spot 2 days in a row.....reason being...THE LEMON PEPPER WINGS !!! Omg the wings are fantastically awesome!!! The crunch, the size of rhe wings and the favor, truly outstanding. Oh I did get 2 flavors lemon pepper and hot honey wings. Don't get me wrong both were good but the lemon pepper is definitely the stand out!! As we headed home from DC everyone keep talking about how good these wings were ! The service is good to when we came in the next day we were greeted with a cherry hello from the worker behind the counter who must have recognition us from the day before....now that was cool. Try KoChix you will not be disappointed.

Corn nuggets and onion rings

Utterly surprised I don't already have a review for one of my fav spots in DC! Kochix is a locally-owned Korean fried chicken spot. This should become one of your regular spots for ordering out. Their drumsticks and wings are ginormous and delicious. My go-to orders are the 10 wings, half hot honey spicy and half honey lemon pepper. They're always nice and crisp and easily heated up for a future meal in my air fryer. I don't love their fries, but their onion rings are tasty. Even better are their corn nuggets! They're corn fritters with whole corn inside, a corn lovers dream lol This is a crowd pleaser as I've served them to friends and coworkers. Alas, there isn't really space to eat here aside from a short counter against a wall. It's located near the corner of Rhode Island and Florida, so not the most scenic corner of the city, but very much worth the trip or delivery order!

We placed a large group order online and when we went to pick up the order, it was all out of sorts. The staff there was very friendly, but they were a bit overwhelmed while I was there. They had lost one order and others were messed up. There is street parking available, that is relatively easy to find. This place is small and is strictly carryout. They serve Korean style wings, drumsticks, and sandwiches. I ordered 10 wings, with a side of fries. I got 5 hot honey spicy wings and 5 Honey Old-bay. My wings were decent, but I like my wings coated in their respective sauce. These wings were sporadically covered in sauce. Don't get me wrong, my wings were good and everyone like their food. I have just had much better wings at similar places. I will warn you that there is a bit of a wait here, as it is with most Korean Fired Chicken joints. All-in all this is a decent spot to get your KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) fix. Hopefully, they will coat their wings in sauce a bit better.

Hands down the best, crunchiest Korean fried chicken you'll ever have. I told my coworker about it and she calls it "crack chicken." lol. The crunch is unmatched and the flavors are so good. The honey lemon pepper and honey old bay are my go to options. The staff is super friendly. The first time I ate here I ordered a 10pc to try it out. Those wings didn't last at all. I finished em all before I even got to the Virginia state line. You will not be disappointed.

I really don't understand the hype. I walked in your typical hole in the wall and was immediately greeted. Instagram and the world HYPED these wings. I ordered 10 fried high ended up being $20. Shocked the heck outta me. The "ADMIN" fee really bothered me. I can only imagine if I had a larger order. The wings were much larger than one would expect, came out piping hot but overall AVERAGE. Lacked seasoning. Simple carry out wings. I opted out of the sauce and I could do without honey and soy sauce on chicken. Decent spot but to expensive for carry out wings to me.

Soy garlic & hot honey spicy

I got the 10 wings which came with two wing flavors. I opted for the soy garlic and hot honey spicy. The soy garlic was really good, I didn't care for the hot honey spicy, it was not spicy at all. The wings were quite large and I was stuffed after. The skin on the wings is super crispy just how I like mine. The service was very friendly and relatively quick. The inside is small with no seating and more of a to go restaurant.

These might really be the best wings in DC. Tried this place because I saw a review on Instagram and they did not disappoint! The wings were so crispy, yet juicy at the same time. The sauces were both really good and they complimented the wings well. The service was also perfect. The man at the front let us try two different flavors because we were not sure what we wanted to try. It is a small hole in the wall, so not much to say about the ambiance. The food is a 10/10 though.

Wings/Drum Combo. Lemon pepper x Spicy Honey

Very unsuspecting spot on the corner, but those are my faves! It's a carry out vibe for sure, but the gentleman who assisted me was extremely nice and had a welcoming demeanor. I had been there once before years ago and I must say that I recall the chicken being slightly more life changing. I ordered their new lemon pepper wings and their spicy honey wings. The lemon pepper wings were very good, 4.5/5; however, I am a spicy food fanatic and the spicy wings had little to no heat at all; making them a 3/5 for me. I also got a side of fries, which were amazing. Tasted like they were tossed in a light lemon pepper seasoning mix. Overall, chicken wings are my kryptonite, so I will be returning.

This carry-out spot doesn't look like much at first glance, but it's a gem. Although the service needs improvement, I guess the food makes up for it. The philly cheesesteak was so good, we had to get one more for the road. I was impressed by the medium fried wings + hot honey spicy sauce. Will be back whenever I'm in the HowardU area.

Such amazing flavor. Wings are massive, I can only eat 5 or so. Fries are good too. Definitely a good find and highly recommend!

Silly question, but I'm allergic to dairy and eggs, is there either in the chix batter?

No egg and dairy in the batter, just flour and corn starch

There was no Parmesan cheese on the salad, and there were 2 croutons in the salad. Pass. Perhaps it would be good as compost. There was no tomato soup delivered. Instead, there was an extra tub of Mac n' cheese, which was tasteless. The hummus was good, but the wedges of pita bread were hard, possibly a week or two old. Disappointing, but it's okay to serve crap food to people restricted to the hotels in snow-bound DC.

These are the classic characteristics of traditional smoked chicken wings. The tenders on the other hand are good however not as crispy on the breading as I'd like. I believe they are trying to accomplish a soft breading which is OK however theirs is a different kind of soft breading resulting from the batter/flour and frying process. Borderline soggy. These tenders are very tender and would be exceptional if they'd change their flouring and frying technique. Overall a good chicken tenders that I'd purchase again when ordering chicken wings. I don't think I'd travel here exclusively for tenders. As far as sauces are concerned, I tried the Smokey Buffalo, Alabama White BBQ and Honey Mustard. Would like to have some traditional flavors available for the traditional palates. Overall a very good experience.

I placed my order online, so it was ready by the time I got there. I just double parked, like most people do in the city, ran in and got my food. The staff there was very nice. The inside customer area is very small, but I was in and out. I ordered 10 wings, which I thought I ordered in 2 flavors. however it only came in one, mambo. That is ok. The wings were very delicious. I mean like finger licking delicious, packed with flavor. I also got a side of mac and cheese, which was also really good. It was cheesy like I like it, fresh and tasty. All in all, I really enjoyed my meal here. I am always skeptical when a see a restaurant claiming to have the best of something. This restaurant claims to have the best. After eating my meal, I would say there is some truth to that. I highly recommend checking this place out.

This restaurant is exclusively for the second version. I don't come here often because I respect myself. But when I do? Oh, it's a whole event. The smoked wings are everything, the ribs hold up every single time, the smoked chicken is to die for, and that potato salad has absolutely no business being that good. Bonus: one order feeds me for like three days. Three. Days. The portion sizes alone deserve a five-star review. This is my naughty place and I am at peace with that.

The wings were seasoned just right and honestly didn't need sauce. If you want one though, go with the cilantro ranch. The BBQ sauce wasn't sweet or smoky, I'm still trying to figure out what the flavor was. Also, I got 9 drums and 3 flats, which was a little off, I'd prefer a 6/6 split. Online you cannot do all flats or all drums The spicy greens are meat-free and I even called both to make sure. had good flavor, but they were more sweet and spicy to me not just spicy.
