My experience with erols was very positive. I needed a bridesmaid dress altered a week before the…read morewedding. I went in, tried it on, they pinned what needed fixed. They were able to do it within a week without a rush fee. For a quick turnaround the price was reasonable! The staff were very nice and helpful. Picked it up and they wanted me to try it on to make sure I was happy! Would recommend!

I recently took a $2K couture evening gown to Orhan for fit alterations (it was too big) and a…read moreredesign of one element of the dress. The fit alterations need revision as the top half of the gown does not fit and feels twisted on my body. The problems are: a. The center of the bodice is no longer in the center, clearly evident due to the sheer illusion panel in the front (see photo). b. The waist was taken in too much so it is tight and causing puckering at the back waist and the zipper is misshapen (see photo). c. The skirt of the gown has puckering (that I have experienced in the past caused by the lining not being adjusted correctly when the dress was shortened). Orhan said he left room in the waist that could be let out to fit, and he thought this would also correct the problem of the off-center bodice. He denied that the puckering in the skirt had anything to do with the lining and took great offense to my blaming the puckering on his workmanship. He said there is no puckering. The puckering all the way down the diagonal front seam is obvious (see photo). He agreed that he would address problems a. and b. at no further charge as I already spent $650 for the original alterations. In the same sentence he also offered to refund my money. Then he threw out a zinger...he said "I think you have had a problem with us from the beginning". I wasn't sure if he was accusing me of ethnic racism or something else. I told him of my long history with Erol and Feliz before the business was sold to him and his partner, and he said that Erol and Feliz were good business people but horrible tailors, and that he was the excellent tailor. He repeated "you have had a problem with us from the beginning". My husband spoke up this time because I have been unfailingly polite to him and everyone in his shop. I did want him to fix the dress so it was wearable but after him going down this path I decided to take the refund and leave. When someone claims to be "the best", "an expert", "tradition of quality", holds considerable experience in dress alteration services", and charges the prices they do, they should expect to be accountable when there is a substandard outcome, especially when working on such an expensive garment. I took photos and measurements of the altered dress because the naked eye doesn't always see everything, and this seemed to offend him too, but it helped me understand why the dress felt twisted. He should have been embarrassed by the work product, not angry at me. I do not know if the gown can be fixed. The two shoulders are no longer the same width. The left front bodice is not the same length as the right front bodice when measuring shoulder seam to waist seam. Same problem in the back of the bodice which clearly does not have a level horizontal waist seam anymore (see photo).

--This is my last coment !!!…read more He made fun about my grammar: This response shows the lack of culture this guy has. As he knows English is my second language, therefore, my grammar may not be perfect. This may reflect racism within this organization. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Jessy responded to my review with lies. Just think twice before you hire his services. The business owner left the items outside of a building after collecting the EXTRA money. GREAT PRACTICES !!! Good Job Jessy I recommend that anyone utilizing his services refrain from advance payment, as he consistently employs policy justifications to increase charges. 1. If he was at my residence for an extended duration removing the curtains, why was there no comment at that time? He charged me the full amount at that time. Also, he charged me extra to take them down and put them back. He did not put them back. 2. Should he have found any urine or like material on the curtains, why did he not reach out to me? he worked for over 5 weeks with the items. 3. He is lying, he did not deliver on time. He was late 3 or 4 days. 4. My behavior was not hostile. I inquired regarding several matters: the additional fee for reinstallation (despite prior payment), the urine issue (never mentioned until the day before), and the debris charge (given my offer to handle it). 5. He blocked me from Facebook and Insta so I couldn't add a review. No wonder why he only has good reviews on his website. I told him "I will pay the extra, BUT this is not fair". I said: "I will add this type of practice to your review, so people won't go blindsided to your services". I paid the extra charges, and as soon as I paid, He send me an angry text saying " I will leave the items at the door of your building". He had no idea if i was there or not. He did not care just to leave plastic bags outside the building. One more time: he waited till I paid his extras, and then he left the items outside the building. He scammed me! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Moises---- WARNING - WARNING - WARNING I recently hired "Trim and Proper" to do curtains for my apartment. The total I was quoted to pay was around $750 to $800 so, as you can see this was not a cheap job that i was having done. I dealt with Jesse specifically. To say the least, this was a traumatizing experience. After asking questions about additional charges that were dropped on me, he proceeded to attack me regarding the fee's; he accused me of being difficult to work with, lashing out at me over text messages and adding fake fee's to my bill, including pet feces clean up. I am unsure where she got this notion. The job was supposed to be measurements, creation and hanging the new curtains. Once I started to question these phantom charges, he sent me a message basically saying I did not read the terms. Yes, there were terms, but he was lying about the fee's she was adding to my invoice. I begged him to honor our original quote, but she was not giving in. I told himthat I would write him a bad review and his response was that since i was going to leave a bad review, he did not have to commit to our agreement. Guess what? My curtains were left in front of my apartment building, on the curb in TRASH BAGS. And just so everyone knows, I paid the invoice in full despite the traumatizing experience he placed upon me. I am now left with trash bags and wrinkled curtains that I was trying to have hung for my family thanksgiving meal. See pictures attached. I also have text messages. Way to go "Trim and Proper". I really hope that she comes to her senses and realizes this is horrible ethics before it's too late for his business.

The Wedding Seamstress - This dress was 3 sizes too big. Also had some holes that needed mending and zipper issues. Look at how fabulous it looked!

I can't say enough good things about the professional and talented seamstress who altered my…read morewedding dress. Recommended by Dani West, their service was top-notch from start to finish. My dress was heavily beaded and required significant work, including being taken in, hemmed, and a bustle for my first dance. The team handled it all with incredible skill and professionalism. The process was seamless and efficient. During my first visit, I tried on the dress, received a clear pricing estimate, and paid in full to drop it off. They immediately started working on the bustle so they could handle the hemming and final bustling in the next appointment. They even used a body scanner to get my exact measurements, which speaks to their precision and modern approach. I only needed three visits total, with the final one being just for pickup. This efficiency was a huge relief during the busy wedding planning process. Their professionalism and willingness to answer all my questions made me feel confident and at ease. If you're looking for a reliable and expert seamstress for your wedding dress, I highly recommend them.

I had a very good experience with Wedding Seamstress! I had a floor length ballgown with a large…read moretrain that they managed to bustle it so it looked lovely! They also added a large bow in the back which looked great. I went for 3 fittings over the course of a 6 months, so they could make sure the dress looked good as we got closer to wedding day. I thought they did a fabulous job with the alterations but communication between appointments was a little spotty. Twice, I was given instructions to communicate via text (I assume with the owner) but no one replied and I had to follow up days later. Not the worst, but definitely frustrating when you have a wedding to-do list a million miles long. Back to the positives - they gave very great instructions on how to bustle. On final fitting day, I brought a bridesmaid and a seamstress walked her through how to bustle. The bustle was complicated since I had a large dress, so the demonstration was wonderful. They also provided written in instructions in case we forgot. Day of the wedding- my dress was bustled without a hitch! I am so thankful for their professionalism in that regard. I would choose the Wedding Seamstress again for professional alterations.
