I stopped in to get 2 dresses altered for an upcoming wedding. One of them was a simple alteration to take in the top of a dress, and I was quoted a very reasonable price. The second dress required much more extensive alterations, and she was very patient with me pinning the dress to show me what the alterations would look like, and giving me a quote on what something like that would cost. It ended up costing more than the total of what I paid for the dress, only because it was a lot of alterations and not because the price was unfair. She was very kind and allowed me to think about if I wanted to alter the dress or not, and I chose not to and will be returning the dress instead. In the past I have had tailors charge me for pinning a dress with no alterations, so I really appreciate how she handled this quote for me. I picked up the one dress I had altered and it was a perfect fit. I will definitely be going back, and telling everyone about it!

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Saria's Tailoring in Lakewood, Colorado…read more I brought in my engagement party dress for a rush alteration, fully understanding the short turnaround time. I paid the rush fee, plus an additional $20, because I knew completing the work within two weeks was a significant request. When I returned to pick up the dress, it was in far worse condition than when I dropped it off. The hem was completely uneven, with the back noticeably shorter than the front, making the dress unwearable for my event. I calmly brought my concerns to the owner, hoping we could find a solution. Instead, I was met with yelling, a refusal to issue any refund, and an overall lack of professionalism. Even other customers in the store commented that the dress looked uneven and poorly altered. The owner ultimately told me never to come back, stating that too much labor had gone into the dress to offer a refund. Paying over $200 for alterations only to receive a dress in worse condition than when I brought it in was incredibly disappointing. Thankfully, I took the dress to Erol's in Cherry Creek, where they were able to correct the alterations. They even offered me a discounted rate after seeing what they described as the poor quality of the previous work. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe others should be aware of my experience. If you're having something important altered--especially for a special occasion--I would strongly encourage you to consider another tailor.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience and honestly wish I had never trusted this…read moreseamstress with my wedding dress. I was referred to her by Altar Bridal, where I purchased my wedding dress, so I felt confident that I was being referred to someone experienced and trustworthy with bridal gowns. Unfortunately, that confidence was completely misplaced. My dress originally fit almost perfectly. It was maybe a half size too big and only needed minor alteration. It is a satin dress, so I was especially careful about who I trusted to work on it. After the alterations, my dress is now visibly damaged. There are sewing marks all over the satin where stitching was done and then removed, leaving obvious needle and thread marks throughout the fabric. The dress is now crooked, and the rouching has been completely distorted and does not lay correctly anymore. These are not small imperfections that can be overlooked on my wedding day. The dress looks cheap and destroyed not delicate and elegant like when I got it. My wedding is only a month away. I brought her a dress that already fit almost perfectly, and I am now left with a damaged wedding dress and no idea how I am going to get it repaired in time for my wedding. I understand that alterations can be complicated and that mistakes can happen. However, when someone is trusted with a wedding dress, especially a delicate satin gown, I expect a much higher level of care and expertise. I also trusted this recommendation because it came directly from the bridal shop where I purchased my dress. I gave her multiple opportunities to fix the dress, but at what should have been my last appointment I didn't trust her to touch my dress anymore. If you are considering using this seamstress for your wedding dress, I strongly recommend doing your research and considering other options. I would never want another bride to be in the position I am in now. My wedding is 32 days away and I absolutely hate my dress now.

Christine at Regency Tailors did an amazing job on the alterations for my wedding dress!…read more I chose a large ball gown style dress that I'm sure even the hem, let alone all of the other alterations were a big challenge! We had multiple fittings and at each fitting she took the time not only to explain what she was doing and how that would alter the dress but also to give me tips on how to walk in the dress, what sort of shoes were best, how to get into the dress without messing up your hair etc. She also created a fantastic bustle that made dancing at the reception so much easier and even walked my bridesmaids through the process of how to do it. :) I really appreciated that Christine took the time to help with all of those little details! In addition she also includes the pressing of the dress in her services so it was really nice not to have to go somewhere else for that! I felt beautiful on my wedding day thanks to Christine! She is the first tailor i've ever worked with and her work is impeccable. I've also been a bridesmaid in multiple other weddings since my own and I always see her for any dress alterations!

Stacia made my wedding dress dream come true! She is amazing!!…read more I was determined to have a cape for my wedding, but could not find one (let alone one I liked) anywhere! After looking all over Colorado boutiques, Etsy, and everywhere I could think of, I had given up. When I met Stacia for my dress alterations and mentioned my lack of finding a cape, she told me she would be happy to make a custom cape for me! She invited me to meet her at a fabric shop and spent a ton of time showing me all the types of fabrics and embellishments and helping me pick the best one. Even with my vague description of what I wanted, Stacia was able to create the most beautiful cape I could have ever imagined! It was such a fun, unique experience to get to be a part of "designing" this one-of-a-kind piece. I got so many compliments on our wedding day on how gorgeous the cape was! It definitely stole the show! Stacia also did the alterations for my dress, including taking length off the bottom and adding a built-in-bra. Again, she did an amazing job at measuring and stitching everything so perfectly that I felt very secure and so pretty in my dress :) Her vision for my bustle also turned out beautifully! On top of Stacia's talent, she is organized, timely, and very kind! She is easy to talk to and I always felt welcome. Her prices are very reasonable and upfront.
