I am so glad that I found Mehrnoush. Her work is exceptional, and she is so warm and sweet. I came to her for my wedding dress alterations, and she did a phenomenal job. I think we met 3 times in total, including the initial consultation, and everything was perfect. Because of that, I also went back for my dress cleaning and preservation. What a treasure Mehrnoush is! I am a MOG with my son's wedding looming ahead in April 2022. In late January, I arrived at the doorstep of "Needle Me Knot" with my beautiful dress from the "Bridal Collection" in Centennial (also terrific). Mehrnoush was darling to work with, extremely knowledgeable, talented and frankly, she became my personal shopper giving me some wise suggestions on how best to complete my outfit for the big day along with ideas and tailoring on the rest of my ensemble for the wedding weekend. Long review ahead! Mehrnoush is incredible! I was stressing due to my wedding dress arriving late to the boutique I bought it at and the fear of the price of rush alterations. I called a few alteration places and they made me more stressed about such a short window of time before my wedding (3 weeks). I called Mehrnoush and she got me in the next day. When I arrived she was so kind and warm. She was not worried at all by the timing and made me feel so at ease and not like a hassle. We met two times and she did such a fabulous job for a very good price. After doing such a fabulous job on my dress, I asked her if she could fix a horribly botched alteration job done by David's Bridal for my moms dress. When we brought my moms dress to Mehrnoush, I asked her in private not to let my mom know truly how horrible David's Bridal messed up her dress to spare my mom some unnecessary added stress. Mehrnoush completely understood. David's bridal chopped (yes, chopped) the straps far too high. Where the cups should rest were up, far from her chest making the rest of the dress fit my petite mom like a stuffed pig, truly. Mehrnoush talked with us about what she thought would work. We trusted her completely and when we picked up her dress it was perfect! She had truly worked magic to fix her botched dress. Her partner, (i forget her name!) was also wonderful with hemming my fiancé's pants. For all the alterations, the prices were VERY reasonable and not shocking. They told us upfront after looking at the clothing what the cost would be. As for a language barrier like some of the poor reviews I have read for Needle Me Knot, there was no barrier whatsoever. I am truly shocked that people have even written that. They are wonderful bilingual women who know English well. They take cash, check, or Venmo. I found it to be very helpful that they accept Venmo in this day in age! I am so happy to have found Needle Me Knot and to have had such a great experience. I cannot rave enough about this gem of a find. When I moved to Denver around 9 years ago, I lived in the Wash Park neighborhood and had a giant bundle of clothes that needed alterations. I walked in, unsure of what to expect. The seamstress here, Mehroush, exceeded all of my expectations. She was super fast and charged a very reasonable rate (far cheaper than any option I've found at a dry cleaners). The large bunch of clothes I brought in were done in three days. I have kept this place on the short list for years, and as soon as I accumulate a fair number of pieces that I want to keep and are worth spending some money on alterations, in I go! Fast forward a few years and I purchased a wedding gown at a shop in Denver. When they recommended places to get alterations, Needle Me Knot was their number one recommendation! So back I went! Again, the cheapest option I found for alterations (around $130 in 2011) and she did an exquisite job. It fit like a charm and stayed put through all the dancing on the big night. Again, Mernoush is a champ. I understood her English perfectly and she was very accommodating and always explains the process to me. I won't take my business elsewhere unless she decides to close up shop. After reading a few of the other reviews, I'm not sure what issues people had. Needle Me Knot was recommended by a&be bridal shop, where I bought my wedding dress and, like the dress shop, this little alterations boutique did not disappoint! Mehroush, the owner, is completely professional & a talented seamstress! My dress arrived a bit later than expected due to some unforeseen shipping delays, but Mehroush was able to get me an appointment very quickly (within that week) to do some quick measurements & provide a quote. She was incredibly polite & kind while making suggestions for alterations. Plus, when you go, you are the only appointment so you know all her focus is on you! I felt immediately at ease so much so that after receiving the quote, I decided to move forward with the alterations then & there. She said the alterations would take about a month which was still almost three weeks before my wedding! She was not late at all! The alterations came out beautifully & her recommendation to add bra cups was well-received. I dropped my dress off after the wedding for cleaning & preserving & it came out just as beautiful. She mended a small rip in the hem that had come from a night of dancing and did a wonderful job preserving the delicate crocheted-lace that covered my entire dress. Needle Me Knot is awesome! I'll be honest up front and say I didn't do any business here. I simply stopped in for an estimate on my gown and that alone was enough for me to be very turned off. I walked in and there was a very strange woman there who apparently speaks English but was very difficult to understand. I had a friend with me who couldn't understand much from her either, so it wasn't just me. Bad vibes from the beginning. Anyway, I proceeded to put the dress on and when I came out, the woman asked "What do you want me to do with it?" BAM. Bad vibes validated. Um, first of all, I think it's pretty obvious on where to start. It's way too long on me, so at least start there? I told her I wanted an ESTIMATE and she begins pinning up my dress as if she's keeping it. Again, I couldn't understand what she was saying so I just went with it. She told me then I'd have to leave it with her. Um, why would I leave it with you here when I'm not necessarily going to have it worked on? I reminded her I want an estimate and that I don't want to leave it with her. She strangely told me to leave the pins in it when I take it off. Yeah, that didn't happen and I took them out. I know this place was highly reviewed so I had not expected to have such a bad experience here. It seems like this woman lacks competence and skill needed to do this type of work. Definitely don't feel comfortable with having my alterations done here. And that's an understatement. The other place that quoted me nearly triple the amount is looking pretty good right now in comparison to this experience. read more

The bridal boutique I bought my gown from suggested a different seamstress and after reading that companies reviews on yelp and after talking to them, I didn't feel comfortable taking my dress there. One of the ladies that I work out with suggested Mehrnoush (the owner of Needle Me Knot) because she had altered both of her daughters wedding dresses this year also. My dress was lace and the lace was covered in beads. Not only did the dress look amazing when she was done with it, she got all the alterations and the bustle done in three weeks, and she did it at a killer rate. Also, I only had to do one fitting. RUINED my $160 duvet cover... did not complete work as requested, sloppy work, uneven seam. Maybe this just isn't her thing, but I expected better. I took my Pottery Barn duvet cover in to be mended after my dog chewed a hole about 4 inches down from the top seam. I considered mending it on my own, but in reality it just sat in a closet for months (we all know how that goes) so I chose Needle Me Knot for its proximity and outstanding reviews. Seeing all of the expensive wedding dresses in the shop reassured me that I chose well. When I walked in, the lady was on the phone with her back turned - she had a Comcast bill in hand so I waited patiently for a few minutes for her to notice me as I've had my own Comcast experiences. Once she was put on hold, I showed her the hole and filled out my personal info. I then waited for several minutes for her call to end so that I could have her attention as I explain what I needed done. She was pleasant and we got along just fine, but the phone interruptions were frustrating. After it became clear that this call was not ending anytime soon (and that she had no intention of ending it for the sake of customer service), we discussed the details of the repair when she was put on another hold. What I requested: Repair of the hole by undoing the top seam, cutting straight across the damaged side at the level of the bottom of the hole (with priority to preserve length by removing only about 4 inches of fabric), then folding the intact side down to meet the cut portion. I explained that it was ok for the seam to be off-center in order to preserve fabric/length and that I would put that side on the bottom. I even drew a picture. She verbalized her understanding, despite being on the phone, to a point where I felt confident we were on the same page. What I got: $15 for repair. Looked ok in a heap in the shop... then I brought it home. I first noticed that the seam "puckered" when I went to put the cover on my duvet. When I flipped the whole thing inside-out, I saw that the entire top seam had been cut off, sacrificing an additional 4+ inches of intact fabric. The cuts were haphazard although I suppose that doesn't matter on the inside... but the seam she sewed is nowhere near straight. There is a mild "U" shape where the seam should be straight, and an area that looks like she just bunched up the damaged fabric and stitched over it. To top it all off, it's one measly line of stitching. No reinforcement. I can get past the phone call, but I am appalled by qualiy of work returned to me. My duvet is ruined. It's much shorter now and barely fits, and now I have to look at that crooked seam in front of my face every night. I'm type A guys, that's hard. If there were any more length to work with, I'd have her fix it, but it's already too short. read more
