Extremely insulting and embarrassing. Went there to get a bridesmaids dress altered in a pinch. I had two days before I had to get to the wedding. I needed it let out 1.5 inches. The man I talked to decided that he needed to say I was fat and ask me if I had considered losing weight to fit the dress. What the hell? Again, I had two days until the wedding. Even if I could have lost weight it was not an option at that point. I ended up having to use this business anyway because I was in a pinch. They did get the dress finished in time but I did not need the "advice" from a stranger who is not a doctor. Not trustworthy. I came here on a Friday to have two work pants hemmed 1 inch. I sew, but was too busy to do it myself. He told me each one is $30. This seemed too high to me but didn't say anything. Went three doors down to the dry cleaners and asked what they charged, $15. This made me suspicious so I called Denver tailoring on Monday and asked them over the phone how much a pair of paints was to hem. On the phone he told me "20 dollars, 25 max, no more than that" WOWWW. So why was I charged 30 per piece? WTF?!?!? I stormed back in and asked for the pants and my money back. He knew he got caught. I brought a sweater in because it had a hole in it and I wanted to see if they would sew elbow pads on. They did that and more. It was a bit pricy at $20 for just the sewing since I had purchased the suede elbow pads before bringing it in, but they did a fantastic job. This is my favorite sweater and they were able to fix some of the shotty fixes I had done to the seams. It took about a week and a half to have it back but I wasn't in a rush. This place is AMAZING! Last month I brought in a bridesmaid dress on a Monday, and needed it done by Friday. Maitham was accommodating, friendly, and kind. I was very frantic and not sure what to expect but he was wonderful. Today I brought in another bridesmaid dress I needed shortened for a wedding next month and again, he was friendly, kind, and asked all the right questions. He did a fantastic job with the last dress and I can't wait to see the results on this one. As far as price, I keep seeing people say it's expensive but honestly I think it's priced just right for the quality. I needed a bridesmaid dress tailored quite a bit and it came out perfect. Will be coming back for future tailoring

Of the 3 tailors I have tried the past few months in Denver, this was the worst experience of the 3. The guy seemed nice at first, but the main problem is the work was not done on time and he had a bad attitude about it. I took in two skirts to have the waistbands adjusted. One was for me and one was for a Birthday present for my friend. The skirts were identical. I was asking him to make one smaller and one larger. I took the skirts in a about a month ago (June 16th). My ticket said they would be done on July 8th. When I came in on July 8th he said he had phoned me to tell me they were not done. I didn't get the message before attempting to pick up my skirts. Then he negotiated with me about getting the work "maybe" done by Saturday July 11th at which point I said I could just come back on Tuesday, July 14th. When I came back on Tuesday, July 14th (after 5pm) they were not done and he had not tried to call me this time. He told me to come back at 6:30pm. I told him I would come back tomorrow. Then he asked, "well, what time tomorrow?" and seemed very put out that I wasn't going to come back that night. I find this hard to understand. "Tomorrow" is after the time he had told me to come back. Today (July 15th) I called him before attempting to pick up the skirts. They were done and I went to get them, AGAIN. If you are keeping score, I went to this tailor 3 times to pick up one job. He told me how hard the job was and said it was a lot of work. He was sorry under his breath and then he continued complaining about how much work he had to do. He was defensive and unpleasant. The work could have been much, much better. He added the extra waistband to my friend's skirt on the side and you can see the stitches where the extra waistband was added in the front on one side of the skirt. On the inside, there is a crooked seam and it looks sloppy. It is not professional looking at all. We had discussed removing the tags from the inside of the back and adding the fabric to the back. It's a side zip skirt. I could take out what he did (plus extra fabric) and move what he did to the back of the smaller skirt to make it bigger, and then make the bigger skirt small, but I don't have much time before my friend's birthday. Besides, there was a reason I paid to have this done. If I had wanted it to look like I did it, I would not have gone to a tailor. The skirts are wearable, so I guess I should be thankful for that. I am also thankful that I did not trust him with any of my bigger, more difficult jobs (i.e. expensive dresses). I am a little embarrassed to send this skirt to my friend for her birthday because it looks a toddler sewed it. I think my friend will just be happy that the skirt fits her again, but I feel silly about giving this guy $60 for sketchy work that was not done on time. The point is, I would never go here again. If this were the only game in town for tailoring, I would do my own tailoring or just wear ill-fitting clothes. Lucky for us, he is not the only game in town. I will put up reviews for the other 2 tailors I went to and plan on going to again. read more

Maitham far surpassed my expectations by performing quality alterations and meeting my tight timeline, all for a reasonable price. My only knock would be the overall appearance/environment of the shop. It is a bit run down and uncomfortable, but in no way does that impact the quality of the work.
