I had a great experience with The Wedding Seamstress. I went to them because my friend had a great experience with them and because I did not want to haul myself to Denver for dress fittings, your girl likes to keep it in the burbs. They were affordable and flexible. When I first came to them, I planned to remove the train from my dress, but changed my mind and they were so cool about it and encouraged me to keep it even though they would have made more money if I had removed it. I'll also say, they got my alterations done quickly, after I dropped my dress with them, I only had to come in for 2 fittings after and on the third, I brought my dress home. I also ended up finding my end of the night outfit here, a pretty and comfy jumpsuit that honestly saved my life at my wedding. (My dress was fully beaded and she was HEAVY)

You can see how the right side of the slit is sewed poorly so it looks wrinkled.

I unfortunately did not have the experience that everyone else had. I live in Centennial but drove this far because of the positive reviews. I called ahead of time and asked for a ballpark quote to hem a dress and add a slit. I think I spoke to Brad and he said $300. I made the appointment and when I got there, I asked if they could confirm that they could add a slit. I was told yes. I moved forward with the process and also added a bustle. When the girl who helped me came back, she told me my total was $600. This was double what I was quoted. It couldn't have been just adding a bustle. I ended up paying because at this point I was running short on time. Everyone came off very confident in the abilities. When I returned about a month or so later, I left in tears. The hem was uneven. The left side of the slit was much shorter and the fabric curled in. The slit they added was ugly! Instead of the typical "v" cut, they cut a semi circle at the top of the slit and it was so unnatural looking. Then they added buttons to the back of my dress. I didn't ask for them. They looked nice but they were interfering with my zipper. When I brought it up to Deedee she said that they'd have to take the buttons off because I didn't pay for them (through no fault of my own). I expressed concern that you'd be able to see the stitching on the dress by removing the buttons, she assured me I wouldn't. Great customer service would've been to give me the option to leave them since it was not my mistake. Lastly, the bustle buttons were the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life. I have seen many bustles and they have always been with small satin buttons or clear ones. They put five of the regular plastic buttons across my waist. They were large too - I would compare them to the size of quarters. When I brought this up, Deedee said that was how bustles were made. When I expressed my displeasure she brought out a different option - bra hooks. This was slightly better looking and would be more concealed so I told her to go with those. They should have showed me options beforehand and I would have just asked that they cut the train off my dress as was my original intent before I was convinced to leave the train and add a bustle. I returned the next day and the dress was still not fixed. The buttons were removed and to their credit, I couldn't see evidence of them. The bustle was fixed enough but the slit was still really bad. They then blamed the fabric of my dress as it was cut into a circle skirt. They saw my dress before I agreed to alterations and if they couldn't do it, or if the fabric was going to be a problem, they should've said that instead of acting confident that they could do it. The stitching alongside the slit was also poorly done. The seamstress confirmed it needed to be redone because it kind of bunched together. The slit could not be fixed properly. They Mickey Moused the fixes to get it to be ok. But it was definitely me just settling and knowing that the skirt had been cut into at that point and what I got was as good as it was gonna get. That was devastating To top it off, they offered to press my dress for free. I guess they felt bad and that was their fix. When I came to pick my dress back up the day before my wedding after leaving it behind to get pressed, I immediately took it to the hotel and took it out the bag. To my surprise, the dress had absolutely not been pressed (when I picked it up the lady unzipped the bag and showed me the bodice to confirm it was my dress but I didn't pull the train out or anything because I didn't want to disrupt what I thought was a freshly pressed dress) I had to iron the skirt of my dress the night before my wedding. I paid $600 for an experience that left me in tears and that essentially ruined my dress. I still wore it but it should never have looked the way it ended up looking.

My wedding dress fit me pretty well prior to alterations, but the wedding seamstress made sure it was flawless. The staff was amazing and took special care of my elaborately beaded dress that needed some hemming and adjustments to the small sleeves on my dress. Incredibly happy and would recommend them!

AMAZING! I had less than one month to get my dress altered and fitted. The staff at The Wedding Seamstress brought me in within two business days for a consultation. My dress was too long for me and slightly big around the chest. They shortened, brought in, and added cups to the dress within 10 days and did a wonderful job for around $350. I felt comfortable and confident on my wedding day, and that was all I could ask for!

So happy with The Wedding Seamstress and their alterations to my dress! I came in probably a month before I needed my dress, cutting it close - I know! However they were able to get it done right on time! First consultation they provide a quote and if you want to move forward, they'll start the measurements then. So no need to come back. Although there are multiple appointments, that's completely understandable for alterations! I only needed one more appointment. I tried on my dress, the arms needed the final touches and they were able to finish it there within 20-30 mins. Saving me another appointment!! Thank goodness! The pricing did seem a little high. But I can't complain since I didn't get other quotes due to my time crunch. So maybe it's the average pricing - who knows. I'm still happy I went with The Wedding Seamstress. All the employees were friendly and professional! I appreciate the Appointment Only business they have. I know that their focus is on me and I'm not waiting around for my turn. So pleased with my end results!

This dress fit me like a glove. Booty tuck recommendation was everything

I loved my experience with the wedding seamstress! This team made me feel comfortable, supported, and HOT during the whole process. I'm so thankful for the collaboration and suggestions by the staff. These dresses felt custom made for me and fit like a dream. Tl;dr The bridal shops where I purchased advised me to go to specialists for my two dresses: an Ines Di Santo gown and Sarah Seven party dress (very different fabrics and fits - silk and crepe). The shops I were directed to were either full over six months in advance or obscenely expensive. I quickly learned the recommendations can often by political, based on the bridal shops relationships, not always the service you'll get as a bride. Going off your own research is super intimidating but this one was worth it. The wedding seamstress was amazing quality work, responsive, and affordable. I was adamant I wanted to go through the fitting process alone (no bridal party, no parents). I felt primped and prodded in the best way, like the team really cared about me looking like a dime on this special day! (Hello! Gino! The booty tuck!) They were each approachable, thoughtful, and helpful. What a wonderful experience. Thank you!

    Great fit.

We had The Wedding Seamstress design my daughter's prom dress. DeeDee and her team did an amazing job! DeeDee envisioned exactly what my daughter wanted. The dress fit her perfectly. My daughter couldn't have been any happier. I would definitely recommend The wedding Seamstress! I know we will definitely be going back

Loved the intricate work they did to my sweetheart neckline

I found the EmbroidMe location on Sheridan Blvd on Yelp via a search for companies that did custom…read morehats, as well as had high ratings as I didn't want to mess around with my project--especially as I was somewhat crunched for time. I can't recall now what ultimately pushed me towards using EmbroidMe, but I'm so glad I did. Working with Denise, the manager, was an absolute pleasure. She was great with communication, and wasn't afraid to offer constructive, professional advice when I asked for it during the process of designing 15 custom hats for an alumni gathering I was attending. As this was an especially important occasion--our 25th anniversary--I had to have the hats be right the first time, and completed on-time as the gathering was out-of-state, and under two weeks away. Throughout the process, Denise was in immediate contact when any design questions came up. This was especially reassuring as they actually took a hand-drawn design I had scanned over to them (detailed picture and multiple-sized words for front and back of hat) and turned it into a stencil/template for the hats, giving it a very personalized look. I couldn't believe the quality and attention to detail in recreating my sketch. Additionally, the color-matching her team was able to produce with the embroidery? Man, it was amazing! Oh, and they were completed in plenty of time, and nailed the agreed-upon price. Denise and her team just knocked it out of the park, and my alumni buddies were blown away with the finished product. I couldn't have been more proud to share such high-quality work for the occasion, and all thanks to Denise and her team at EmbroidMe. Highly recommended, and thank you SO much, Denise!!
