Met a friend at her local bar last night for a fish fry and it was pretty good. The fish was fried perfectly. Crispy beer batter with flakey inside. It came with fries, coleslaw and a lemon wedge. The fries tasted good , the were seasoned but they were over cooked. They gave me a small container of coleslaw and tarter sauce. They did give me more tarter sauce when I asked. I love red hot on my fish fry but they didn't have any but they gave me some Buffalo wing sauce. The drink were "on point" .. I got Jamison and ginger ale. My friend got Titos and soda water. We were definitely not disappointed. The best part of the night was the Bartender "Claire".. she was Amazing!! She was hilarious and so nice. She felt like a friend a never knew I had .. lol! Hello, I thought that today would be a nice day to stop by for a beer, I walked inside and I sat down at the bar. the bartender asked me for my ID, I gave her my ID and discussed ordering a PBR beer. the manager quickly turned against me and started saying that I wasn't welcome and that it wasn't me in the ID. I tried to reassure her that it was definitely me and offered a second form of identification. the "manager" used her hands to grab her breast area and said atleast mine are real. I said "ma'am I don't see you that way". she began to get loud, threaten police and had other members at the bar come towards me and force me out of the bar, non physical. I have shopped here many times and never have had a problem. I'd stepped foot inside this bar before and I do not like the atmosphere. It is not clear about where you're supposed to order so you have to scooch pass people sitting at the bar and order. With the loud music and chatting makes ordering difficult. But yesterday we decided to give their food a try. I got the pub burger and my husband got the chicken fingers with Mac salad. The fries are decent and if the burger hadn't been drowning in cheese was pretty good. The Mac salad was very bland and dry but the chicken fingers were surprisingly very crispy and good flavor. Not my favorite spot to get food from (had an ok expereince before this one) but it was late and there weren't much of decent food to order from. I've never been to the actual bar itself but I ordered from Yelp and was at least happy that I got some food in my system to reduce my buzziness from drinking. I ordered the veggie quesadillas​ (came with mushrooms, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, corn, & black beans with melted cheese) and the mozzarella​ sticks. ​I only wanted to get the quesadillas​ but it kept telling​ me that I had to get​ something else to fulfill the delivery price which is annoying. Although it arrived on time which later on, I wasn't annoyed anymore. Took a bite of the quesadilla​, it was very delicious​ and that came to my surprise because this is one of the very few bars that provide decent veggie options and it came out better than I thought, and that's​ rare. I was impressed and ate half of my meal. I didn't​ bother eating​ the mozzarella​ sticks because I already had enough cheese from the quesadilla​ in one sitting. Gave it to a friend instead. Yes, the acoustics are still loud or maybe it's the bar patrons. If you want a booth, rather than a high table, you're right opposite the bar. But the beer is good and the food is surprisingly presentable. I had the Balboa Cheesesteak and my wife had the Southwest Chicken Fajita Salad. My wife rated her salad as excellent, both for the freshness of the greens and chips. I voted my steak sandwich as the current "best in Chili" for its soft fresh roll and tasty interior, positively unhealthy but good. If there was a way to give a negative score I would. The bar itself is not bad but the kitchen is a disaster in the making. It is proof an absentee owner is not the way to run a business at all. The food is sometimes there today my quesadilla order was taking an unusually long time only for Alana to let me know they didn't have all the ingredients the food was not ordered properly and they had to go get the ingredients needed. The order was messed up again when I got home this is the third or fourth time I have tried them for food. A mistake at every order so far. Most if not all the positive reviews are from before Roger Chritiano bought the place. It's really weird because he also has his hands in Olaceys in Batavia which is a great place to visit. Knuckles knock out needs a new owner or at least one who cares about his customers and the business! Maybe someone who knows Roger can let him know his place in Chili is failing. Hands down this is by far the best bar I've been to. I know that sounds over dramatized but hey its the truth! I have never been to a bar that I couldn't find anything wrong! Strong cheap drinks, amazing food, and the best staff you could ever imagine! Prices were perfect with large portions as well. Seated immediately as you walked in, might i add the booth we had was next to the window so it was the perfect setting. Our waitress soon brought our drinks over and took our order. She was so nice and inviting. It was a packed Saturday night and the poor girl was running around like a chicken with her head cut off but that did not slow down her service or attitude at all during the night! For being "bar food" it was delicious, hot, and fresh. I highly recommend the loaded tots, to die for! Hot crispy tator tots smothered in cheese and bacon, what could go wrong? The wings were cooked to perfection as well. Crispy and loaded with sauce. They definitely have a great variety for a menu. For being a bar the place was pretty spotless and clean. The bathrooms were actually being cleaned every few hours. Every bar/restaurant should really fallow suit with that. I dont know about anyone else but to me bar bathrooms just scream ew. Not this one! It was like your own personal bathroom at home. I really can't find anything negative to say other than it does get pretty loud in there, but hey its a bar you should expect it! read more

Friends and I usually frequent Knuckles several times a year. My most recent visit will be my last. Service was very slow which is understandable with the current labor market. Our server was very apologetic and explained there was only one person working the kitchen. Totally understandable. Things fell apart after using restroom. There are two facilities in the mens' room - stall and urinal. The urinal was in use - I attempted us the stall. This was a disgusting mess. Waited for the urinal. The person finished their business at urinal and immediately left. Okay, ewwwwww, didn't wash their hands, but at least he is not handling my food. Wrong!! As I exit the restroom - he is in the kitchen - Mister "One & Only" in the kitchen as per our server. To make matters worse - we had already finished our meal. Totally grossed out. On March 10 I called Knuckles from the funeral home asking if I could reserve March 25, 2023 from 2 to 6 for my brothers celebration of life. They confirmed they would be able to and that I should look at their menu and they would call me back. I called two more times during the week of the 13th and left messages letting them know their manager never called me and I wanted to confirm for Saturday 3/25. They assured me they had given her the message and she would contact me for ordering food to be served. On 3/18 at 2:55 pm Alana called and left me a voicemail saying they weren't able to host my event because they were short staffed with bartenders and a chef, and that it was March madness so they would be busy anyways. She also said that she had been trying to contact me during the week but my "phone went right to voicemail ". Of course, she never left a voicemail until March. 18th in the afternoon. She also said she didn't trust the owner would have enough food ordered if we had it there. I found another place and messaged their manager on 3/20 to see if i could put a sign on the door the day of the event. Since they messaged me so late Saturday afternoon I was not able to get the location changed in the actual Sunday paper. As you can see from the picture, she never responded. My brother's celebration of life was March 25 and there were people who had gone to Knuckles looking for the event because of the newspaper and returned away saying they didn't know what that event was aware it was. This is a little cute bar in Chili. We usually only come here for Sunday football. It is never usually too packed and always a place to sit that's why we like coming here. We also believe I have the best garbage plates! The meat sauce is top notch and it is loaded with onions and mustard . Yum!!! Believe me, you really need to try it! The wraps are really good and so is the chicken pesto panini. I used to always get the taco salad which is still really good but it comes with the fried bread bowl and I'm trying to eat better :-) There are so many TVs in this place, you can be sure that your team will be showing. The service can be really slow sometimes because of the large groups during football, but the waitresses are really great and usually very attentive. The bathrooms are average, I've never been scared to go in there, although it's only a one room stall. It's good that this place doesn't get packed because the bathroom would be an issue for the ladies. We had some time to kill between a wedding service and a wedding reception, and I'd never pass up a chance to go to a place called Knuckles Knockout Grill dressed in a suit. Based on the name, I was hoping to see a fight or two but even though the rowdiest middle-aged golf fans ever were arguing at the bar, it never came to fisticuffs. Knuckles actually just seems to be your average sports bar with lots of room, lots of screens, darts, pool (a dollar to play), Golden Tee and lotto tickets on every table. (That last one is new to me, but I can't pass up a chance to gamble.) Since there was going to be an open bar and tons of food at the reception an hour or two away, we decided to take it easy and just ordered about a pitcher of beer each and the two huge fried food samplers on the menu. The beer was cheap and cold, and the food was your standard Western New York fare, meaning the wings were above average and the rest was A-OK. But Knuckles, if I come in and AGAIN you don't give me honey mustard with my chicken fingers, this relationship is over. read more

Not my favorite place, but good in a pinch! If you're looking for somewhere quick to eat where the drinks flow freely, then Knuckles is the place. The food was phenomenal. I got a cajun chicken sanwich which had the PERFECT amount of spice to it. My boyfriend got the cheesesteak sandwich which was rather yummy! The drinks were great! For single pours, they sure had a good kick to them. Maybe the bartender just had a heavy hand, idk. The drinks were still great! Now.. The service was slow. It really wasn't that busy, but the bartenders (2 of them) constantly tended to folks on the end and seemed to care less about those in the middle. My boyfriend was waiting to get another drink for roughly 10 minutes. Not very attentive. Didn't seem like a huge selection of beer, i don't drink beer, but it was just your normal beers on tap: yuenling, labatts, etc... The atmosphere is way too dark for a bar like that. I felt like i was in a club downtown! Not that the music was too loud, just the lighting was waaayy to dark. I guess some people like that dark type of atmosphere, i prefer it to be a little light so i can at least read menu items. They have lotto tickets also -- if that's your thing. The service is awful especially for only having 15 people ona Friday at 4:30-5:30. Slow service and food really stinks. My husband eats everything, but not there. He sent food back as it was sooo over cooked you couldn't bite into it. Bartenders are rude and they just socialize more than taking care of customers. Are you looking for super friendly bartenders? You've found them at Knuckles. This bar has decent food and amazing drinks. It's a great place to unwind after work and the space is huge. I love coming here and relaxing on the back patio with friends or shooting darts on the boards outside. There's tons of TVs inside to watch sports and lots of space to eat dinner. Good for large groups with a plethora of tables and outdoor seating. The bartenders are always working hard and they have an ok selection of beer. If you are looking for a large selection of craft beers this is not the place. The food is good for bar food and I highly recommend the knockout sauce on the wings. I am surprised to see this place rated so low! I come here a few times a month with my buddy for sabres and bills games and it's great! Hit this place up while visiting a friend in the area. My only advice is stay far, far away. The beer I had was skunky (probably because it sits there for 6 months due to low volume of customers) and the food actually got me sick later in the night. The atmosphere inside is dark and dreary.
