The location is up a set of steep stairs right on King St. Inside the environment is peaceful and serene and spotlessly clean. I had arrived a bit early so expected to wait. Instead they took me in right away. The room was clean, fresh and very comfortable. My massage therapist got started right away and was very thorough. She used various techniques and asked me about pressure. One nice touch is that she wrapped my hair in a towel before we got started to protect it from the massage oil. Additionally she used hot towels throughout the massage to warm me and to wipe away excess oil. My massage included hot stones as well which was a nice addition. After my massage I was offered water. Overall I felt very well cared for and I would return perhaps for a longer massage.

Sometimes I want a simple straight to the point type of experience and thats what we got. I feel like amongst all the high end spas it felt more homey and more welcoming. It felt like a traditional massage. They don't speak much English But I was still able to connect with my masseuse, and she was kind and funny. It is located in a home but don't let that deter you. If you want a no frills massage with very affordable pricing, this is your place! By the way Eva was my masseuse and the massage was a 10/10 and my boyfriend had Lily he also rated it a 10/10! I will definitely be back again!!

They do a true full body message and i mean full. Back, legs, buttocks.. Here's the main reason i love this place, they do what works for me. Ive gone to certain chains that cost me a fair deal more, mentioned my problem areas and how much pressure i wanted and they never lived up to my expectations. And i mean im a pretty tiny person comparatively, but I've had bulky males who didnt message with the same amount of pressure as these women at live health center did. (And by the way, it was just the right amount of pressure, and not just pushing on my spine like the other places im referring to). Oh and the face and neck message. Soo nice... And remember that good messages may not always seem riveting at first but are designed to have positive therapeutic results (you may notice shorty after). Some advice, if you want to know what a message entails, ask first. Also physically point out areas you'd like avoided or attended to. But honestly, be open minded because a good masseur can feel out problem areas without you telling them and they might find ones you didnt know about! Also be sure to tip at least 20-30% cuz it is a service being done on your body for goodness sake. Some people genuinely dont know this is standard for health and beauty services and are embarrassed to ask, so they provide a sign (as a lot of places do)!

The reviews were kind of mixed so I hope I can clear it up for anyone else considering Live Health Center! I came here for a couples massage with mini facials and a foot bath with reflexology (Groupon deal, also check deals on their website). We arrived a half hour early and were prepared to wait, however they immediately took us back. It is true that the walls do not go all the way up and you can hear other noises, but I don't feel this took away from the experience at all. The staff were amazing and so attentive for the entire two hours. By the end we were so relaxed. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning! For others like me who will be having their first spa experience, let me just give a few more details...When we were taken back to our room, we were told to take off our clothes. We were both unsure if we should be completely naked or leave on the little bits. I would recommend leaving on underwear for anyone who is not comfortable. Everything else will need to come off for the oil massage, but you're covered by a blanket the entire time. They may adjust the blanket to reach your thighs or butt (yes, they massage your butt lol), which sounds like it would be uncomfortable but actually isn't after the initial shock. The hot stones feel amazing for anyone thinking of trying them! I totally recommend. As far as tipping, it's like any other service. Yes, you should tip. We tipped a little over 20% for the priced paid because we enjoyed it so much. Try it out you won't regret! A true bang for your buck compared to other places we checked out online.
