Stopped in while exploring Carlsbad. I've been to Carlsbad many times, but, don't think I've ever been here before. It's a little pizza spot that has a cool vibe. They offer pizza by the slice. There are many options. I'm sure you can order a whole pizza too. We were just looking for a small lunch / snack. This fit the bill perfectly. They have sodas that are like more natural. I tried Knock out for the first time. Delivery. Yelp reviews were good but I still didn't let numbers excite me too much. Besides, I was tired and hungry and delivery sounded brilliant. I ordered the Oh Baby salad which utterly surprisingly unimaginably true to the name had me repeating oh baby. I also got the Bronx Pie. I maybe have pizza twice a year because no one could beat the long gone Numero Uno pizzas in Glendale,Ca. This pizza, like the salad had something unique and flavorful. It's the closest I've tasted to Números. The difference is the crust. Oh and número roasted or did something to there tomato chunks that was simply an unforgettable flavor. The crust was good. It got soggy in the center but the flavor made it virtually a non issue. I would love it if you guys could make this pie with buttery crispy PAN style crust. I can almost hear angels weeping for it. So we've been coming to Knockout for quite a while.... My especially likes the burgers. Our last 3 visits to Knockout pizza was disappointing. I gave them a pass a couple of times due to covid and lack of servers wanting to work so I give everybody patience but the attitudes of the young employees there is now getting out of hand. Rude employees and telling me "It is what it is ". I've told a lot of people to go there but no more. Our pizzas are always over an hour wait even though I give them 45 min - calling in to order and then picking up. Again, I've been understanding due to lack of employees. One time it took over 2 hours to get our pizzas because they actually forgot to make my gluten free pizza. Twice! I never do a bad review on Yelp but I had to this time because of what was said to. I've heard people rant and rave about this place so I stopped by the other day when I was in C-bad. The place is pretty casual and located right off PCH. I picked out the Knockout Pizza (sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni) for $3/slice and they warm it up real quick. The crust was thin and crispy, so I really liked the texture of it. As for the pizza, it was good and not too greasy, but I wasn't blown away. It's definitely better than Pizza Hut or Domino's or any other chain. Recently ordered pizza for an impromptu birthday party at Carlsbad campground. Looked to Yelp for recommendations of local places that could deliver 12 pizzas to the campground. We ordered a variety of pizzas to test out and cover the palette range of kids to grandparents. We were KNOCKED OUT!! The pizzas were delivered hot and were so delicious! Everyone raved and kept going back for more. Couldn't even get a break in the action long enough to take a picture! 12 pizzas for 9 families and we still White Pizzahad loads if leftovers. The white pizza was a crowd pleasure followed by the meatball pizza and the pesto. Kids of course devoured the cheese and pepperoni pies. My husband walked by the other day and said the smell from their shop reminded him of Mac and Mancos (I realize you'll only understand if you grew up spending your summers at the Jersey shore). It was pretty cold by the time we got it home, which was a little disappointing, but it reheated well the next day. The garlic knots and pepperoni bites were just sitting in oil in their containers though. Yuck. Neither of them had enough flavor either, and were overwhelmed by just the bread. Cute tiny pizza place with good NY style pizza! I got the white pizza, it was amazing. The crust was tasty and I like that they don't use too much sauce. I also got a side salad, which was standard. One pizza slice would not have filled me up, so I was glad I had the salad. They have a good amount of seating, indoor and outdoor. I like all the boxing theme decor and the location is in a nice area to stroll around and go window shopping or grab a beer. Only downside I really have is their weird system of keeping track of orders. Pretty much they don't have one lol. First off ..... I'm not a huge pizza fan . And I normally like deep dish type pizza . But with that said . This is the BEST PIZZA I have ever ever had. Thin crust that was so easy to bite through and the flavors ( we had a pesto as well as a meat lover type ) and perfect amounts of cheese.
