Food was very good with a good selection. At our table everything from meatballs with marinara to Caesar's salad to Cubano sandwich. Prime rib soup was good and hearty. And our server was spot on, between helpful, welcoming, and checking in on us just enough. 12 beers on tap (sorry, I wasn't paying attention to a wine list or anything like that) with a good selection of beers, including a number of local brew. Nice place for a late Sunday afternoon lunch in the summer, will be back in the colder months as well. Definitely a place worth checking out.

It had the standard toppings--avocado, corn, black bean, tomato, tortilla chips. But the cheese was melted on top, like a kind of crunchy/chewey plate--it really looked like it was topped with a mini pizza. Not sure that enhanced the salad, but overall it was fine. Instead of dressing, it came with tubs of sour cream and salsa to mix in. I do that at home sometimes, so can't complain. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. Decent beer selection, including a quite a few bottled ones, which I hadn't noticed until after I ordered my pint of Two Hearted. Be sure to ask for a bottle menu. I sat at the bar and the server regularly looked in on me. Wasn't too noisy, in spite of the tight space that was full when I stopped in on a Sunday night. Nice little spot to check out in Manistee.

Met up with a group of 5 to get drinks and food before checking into our Airbnb. The first thing we noticed was that there were no tables for groups larger than 4, so we grabbed a chair from another table and all crammed around a high top. There appeared to only be 1 waitress working and while she was friendly she was not attentive. Food took 50minutes to come out and drinks ran empty without refills. I had ordered 2 appetizers and skipped the mains. First up were the fried Pickle Chips that came with a ranch dip. The batter was flavorful, and the pickle fried to perfection. The second app I had gotten were the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks which came with a house made beer cheese. The pretzels were warm and doughy without being dry and the beer cheese was incredible. The rest of the table ordered wings and a burger, and everyone had great things to say about their food. The food was great but the wait time, lack of seating, and lack of staff really put a damper on the experience. This pub is currently sitting at a 5.3 on my Beli and it feels like a fair rating. Food is on point, customer service needs work.

I really liked the GF pizza crust. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, but served on the pizza crust. The crust was good and chewy--chewy bread is rare for GF diners. After exploring other restaurants around lately, we decided to give the Clam a try again. Glad we did. Service Our waitress was great. Patient while we decided and helped with our lunch choices. Food We got a Rodeo burger and the Chicken Quesadillas. Both were really good. The spicy Rodeo sauce for the burger was nice. Chicken quesadillas was plentiful and really good. Price Compared to other places around the Clam was reasonably priced. Especially considering the dishes were tasty. Restaurant The Clam had a nice feel. Tables spaced nicely. Everything looked clean. You can be seated outside on the sidewalk cafe if you'd like. Nice place. Summary We'll be back. I'll be trying the pizza next. It looked great and seems that it was a popular choice. Considering so many tourist trap restaurants around Cadillac and Lake City, the Clam seems to be a good go to.

Generously prepared, great seasoning and with the right temperature. The fries are sprinkled with cinnamon which was a first for me. The sweet potato fries were a little soggy but not bad. The cherry hard cider was fizzy and refreshing, It looks like the restaurant used to be a fire house. To me, it's like if the Hot House (Menomonee Falls) and Mission BBQ had a baby. Our server was excellent. She took very good care of us. On a quiet afternoon, we were sat by the bar, by a group that was very loud. We would have preferred a different table.

No drinks, no "we will be with you shortly" or anything. We just sat there. Finally a server came over and said they had a big group come in and it was causing some backup and the host should have told us; he didn't. The drinks and appetizer came quickly and the street corner appetizer was very good; I would order it again. Once the appetizer was finished we sat with empty glasses for a good while. Again, no communication. Once the food arrived, things got much better. Wraps were good, not great. My daughter's pizza was good. With all the restaurants in the area, they will need to up their game on service.
