Pizza was way overpriced for a "Large" which is only a 12" and it was average at that. 1st and last visit

Basic sandwiches, snacks and pizza. Inside a really cool old resort and worth the visit for a quick cocktail and snack.

Waited 25 minutes. Didn't get served. Walked home and had a bourbon instead. Next time won't waste my time.

So happy to have found this hidden gem!!! We happened to be there on a Sunday watching Michigan…read moreadvance to the final four! Crowd was local and friendly beer prices amazing! We had wings which were good but the pizza looked amazing. Will definitely stop in again on way to Beulah!

Rounding up because two of my kids said to give one star, and two said to give three stars. Here is…read morewhy. This place has potential- it's an adorable cozy hometown bar that has all the feels to be the best place in town- but boy did it drop many balls. Pro: 1: Televisions on around the space with the live football game on! Woohoo 2: jukebox where you can select the tunes. 3: they give you a small cup of crayons for kids, "and they weren't the normal red, blue, green, yellow only!" The pros end there sadly. We stopped in at 6:35 on Sunday. The restaurant was busy but not wild. We stood for ten minutes before anyone greeted us- and when we were greeted the woman said oh there's a table there you can take. So if you stop in I am assuming it's seat yourself?! After seating ourselves we sat at our table another ten minutes without menus, without being greeted. My husband and I looked at each other and laughed- maybe we're supposed to order at the bar?! I got up and got menus for our table. After another 5-8 minutes a server came over and took our order. We ordered two pizzas, a burger, nachos, and a wet chicken burrito. The food took forever to arrive- I mean forever!!!! Like I mentioned we sat at 6:50ish, and our food arrived at 8:04! Our kids were pretty over waiting and so were we. The food was very sub par- we won't be returning unfortunately which is a bummer because the bar is adorable. The nachos were gross and felt like a can of dog food had been poured onto tortilla chips. The only redeeming factor was the sour cream and cheese per our kids. The pizza was pretty awful also! And it's pizza- it's not hard to get pizza right. The pizza was so darn greasy. I couldn't eat mine and our kids only had a few bites. Such a bummer. My husband ate his burger but didn't love it. The burrito was eh- nothing to write home about. I was excited and hopeful about it. The chicken inside was a bit off putting to me. It felt like fake chicken bits which totally creeped me out. After we paid our bill we eagerly left. If you're passing through town keep going. There busy be better. My husband and I only came in for a quick easy good meal- after our time here we wish we'd cooked in.

Walking into this place, you understand that is completely a local's bar. It's the kind of place…read morefor people bring a deck of cards, or talk union business at the bar. I had barely set foot in the door when the two bartenders at the bar greeted me warmly and welcomed me in and told me I could sit anywhere I wanted. I sat at the bar and as recommended by a local, I ordered the pepper jack crab soup, which was delicious. One thing to be aware of: don't expect real crab in the soup. Imitation only. But it's plentiful and delicious on a frigid winter day. The bartender recommended the roasted chicken or the perch, and living near another great lake and always having ready access to perch, I decided on the broasted chicken. I was not disappointed. It came with four pieces, choice, potato, and a choice of another side. It was way too its food, but I ate more than I thought they would because it was that good. I will definitely return to the painted lady!

Situated on a corner where two roads meet, this place has all the fixin's of a place with stuff on the walls. Classic hole in the wall pub decor, classic hole in the wall pub tables and chairs. It's one of this places where when you walk in, you're there. Locals, strangers, friends, enemies, lovers. They're all there. So come on in, pull up a stool, and let's get down to business. I will say service was great. I may be a little biased as the waitress said I was the only one in her section. But I'm going to instead assume it's because I'm such an amazing patron. Hilarious and handsome to boot. Or at least the hilarious part. Hokay. So. As much as I'm a huss for bar food, I'm even hussier for wings. So, naturally I ordered the wings. Bone in, as god intended. Buffalo sauce, as Darwin intended. They came perfectly saucy, perfectly temperatured, and perfectly in a little bowl kind of thing. They were meaty and juicy. Loved the flavor. I would eat my body weight in them, and my body weight is not small numbers. I kept the main course simple. Half pound burger, deluxe (lettuce, mayo, tomato, onion). Added mustard. Ketchup's on the table. Then as my side I got the sidewinder fries which are kind of like spiral potato wedges. The burger was pretty decent. The size was good, but the flavor was a little underwhelming. I'm pretty sure the patty was one of those pre-made deals that come in packages. I could be wrong, but that's just what it looked like. Regardless, if I had ordered a burger that was more of a specialty, there might have been more flavor involved. The fries though were pretty good. They're thiccc. Thick fries save lives. I have been here before, a couple times, and would certainly come back as their menu does have a wide variety of food. Don't be bashful. Creationism wings: 10/10 Burger WOW factor: 6/10 Chonky potato wedge spiral fries: 10/10
