I was surprised it took so long to learn about this place! I visited during the warmer months so the outdoor patio was open. They have a DJ on the patio that allows you to request a song via submitting a song from the available vinyls. It was fun to look through the vinyls he had available and playing throwback songs. The Cabbage Shed is extremely popular so I highly recommend making a reservation, if possible. The outdoor sitting goes fast but they have ample indoor tables. My group was able to at least sit next to a window even though we were inside. The view on the patio is breathtaking! Even if you cannot sit outside, they'll let you step out to take a photo from the second floor if it's not too busy inside. I'm not sure if it's a requirement but every place in this area pour heavy handed. No complaints! I ordered the baked penne with sausage and it was unbelievable. I ordered this dish months ago and I still mention it anytime I reflect on my trip. The dish was flavorful and the ingredients tasted fresh. This was a relief because that's not the case for a lot of places nearby. I was easily able to get a a second meal out of my order. If I'm able to get at minimum two meals from my order it's always worth the price. I will definitely visit The Cabbage Shed during my future visits.

We placed an order with the hostess, and she brought those upstairs. Later, when there was a Shirley Temple spill, staff was gracious and whipped up another drink right away. Hospitality deserves five stars alone. What else deserves five stars? The cocktails of course. I had two "hotties," which were perfect with the wintry weather...and smart thinking. Who really wants a cold drink in January? The menu is simple, and much of the food is locally-sourced (huzzah). I vegetarian-ized the Christmas Dinner pizza, and it needed the saltiness/fatiness of the sausage. Still, I'll give points for creativity. Four stars. I get destination vibes from this spot, and I know I'll need to return in the summer months for the most optimal experience...but I was overall impressed with my winter trip. Villa Marine Bar is the place you visit if you want cheap drinks and a beautiful view! My husband and I visited two nights in a row and didn't leave disappointed. They had a drink special for a pomegranate margarita and it was delicious! I also tried the blackberry margarita and no complaints. I've never had a drink from the Villa Marine Bar and questioned if there was alcohol in it because you test it instantly haha. The staff at the Villa Marine Bar are friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was new to waitressing (she told it was her first shift) and it was amazing seeing how patient everyone was with her. She was awesome and even remembered my group the next day when we visited. I was able to try the popcorn chicken during my first visit. It was okay but as I mentioned earlier, you go to the Villa Marine Bar for the drinks. Most of the people I observed were there for the drinks. The view of the marina was lovely.
