We were on the girls trip and booked this place for a distillery tour. Great family owned place with rustic decor. Consists of a distillery, restaurant and a small shop where you can try samples of whiskey, bourbon, vodka and gin distilled on the premisses, also have some cool merch. Distillery tour was alot of fun tried all kinds of liquors and tour guide was great and informative. Restaurant was a let down since we had 12 people party and 6 did the tour, the rest of the group had to arrive an hour earlier to secure a table, they would not book us a table for after the tour. That would of been convenient. Food it self was a hit and miss. Our server was great but the hostess was just rude and indifferent about the whole reservation situation.

I absolutely love this distillery! While the cocktails are top-notch--the Old Fashioned and Manhattan I had on my last visit were perfectly balanced--the food actually stole the show. I tried the Spring Chicken pizza, and it's easily my new favorite. The combination of lemon olive oil, smoked chicken, and that pesto ricotta soprafina is incredible. I come for the drinks, but I'll be returning for the pizza!

What a perfect hidden gem out in rural Springdale Township! The food here was amazing as were the drinks. It was a gorgeous day and we were lucky enough to eat outside. They have a great tasting bar in the silo shaped building right outside the door from the main restaurant, that also sells the small batch spirits they have produced. And while the food, the space and the service were all amazing, My favorite part is the commitment for sustainable farming and production of their spirits. You don't want to miss trying this place, but also check out their website and read their story. It's always a pleasure supporting a business that supports a better environment!

Went here on a snowy night and got a great tour with one of the owners. Exit through the gift shop and also grabbed pizza and and appetizer. Friendly folks, great spirits, and good food, highly recommend!

Great cozy place to visit, and beautiful to see in the fall. If you plan to visit and not familiar with the place, know they do not have regular beer to drink if you don't like whiskey. Wish there were more food options. The Goaty cheese appetizer was 10/10. Merchandise bin is a cool place they created and is so awesome to see everything they have display. Great to grab a few souvenirs to take back home. Be sure to look on the actual website for hours- yelp may not show their fall hours

The tastings were fun, they supplied light appetizers and a drink ticket for each person. They were giving tours too. Great set up on Rick house #5. Got to visit with our favorite distiller, Jake. Awesome staff!

Not an easy place to just swing by, but the trip is worth it to go and spend evening. The food is excellent with some flare. The seasonal mixed drinks are fun and go down smooth. The people are fun and create a great hang. They have games and live entertainment during different times during the year. This does not even consider the Distillary tours and great juice they sell. Great place to check out!

I stumbled upon Iron Fish while in the Thompsonville area, and decided to pop by for a quick cocktail and tasting. I met the owner Richard and was immediately drawn in. He was proud of his establishment and joyfully shared his knowledge of the land and craft spirits. The food and service were also a delight. I tried a coffee-based whiskey drink that was super tasty and had a pizza that was equally terrific. If you're in the area, give Iron Fish a try. It's 1000% worth the drive. Relax outside or sit inside their restaurant with all the right vibes. You won't be sorry.

This was a happy find - a little sad because they ran out of bacon spinach dip but drinks made up for it. Definitely a good vibe feeling and to top it off - it's dog friendly. There's multiple seating options inside and out but please note if there's only two people at the picnic table then there's a high possibility you might be paired with another couple. There's plenty of room. Side note - they had a tasting room; sizes vary when purchasing bottles. Happy Eating!!!

Ask the Community - Iron Fish Distillery

Do you have gluten free crust?

We sure do!

Are dogs allowed on the property?

Hi, Ben! Yes, we are very dog friendly. We hope to see you soon. Cheers!

Do they only have the spirits made at the distillery? Are any gluten free?

Hey Keith, thanks for your question. YES we do have plenty of gluten free spirits. Here's an easy one: White and Dark Rum are made from imported molassis from the Caribbean and finished with honey from whiskey barrel aged honey, from hives on…

Frontage on Eighth Street, but it feels like a neighborhood joint once you are in there. I apologize to Two Sons Pizza, for not writing a five star review, when the pizza was five stars. I mean, we've got The Filling Station for the real thin but still chewy crust. Excellent. Charles and Reid for Detroit style, which is life altering delicious (and I generally hate thick pizza). And Two Sons completed the power triangle with big New York style slices and pies. But what the F happened? They've always had a little bit of that dismissive hipster kind of vibe, where they try to make you feel like you're not important, or possibly not cool enough to enjoy how amazing their pizza is, or was. But now it's like the one or two employees who are there at a time, don't want to be there at all. And that's what the pizza tastes like now The slices used to be massive, like cutting an extra large pizza into six slices. They were priced accordingly, $7-8+, but well worth it. Delicious. Now the pies are old sitting around for hours, and they don't perk up when reheated like they used to. I don't have a problem with proper New York style slices, being reheated, that's part of the tradition. But the attitude I get is, if they aren't slammed busy, they don't care about having fresh food, and you just get what you get. It seems the employees don't care, they are like robots now, and unhappy robots at that. They've got the NY magic and the special sauce, they just aren't using it anymore. Maybe the chef quit, maybe it got sold, I have no idea. The last slice I had, I threw it in the garbage, and went to Toby's dog house, the hot dog trailer outside. But it was closed on a day it was supposed to be open. The guy behind the bar at Silver Spruce brewing has the same dismissive/dumb attitude. I wouldn't be surprised if all three places closed after summer 2026 ** since they are capable of making a good New York style pie, at least in theory now, just order a whole pizza. That way, it will be fresh. The slice game is dead there. **
