I've had MANY massages over the past 15 years for back and neck problems. Recently, I had really bad pain in my arms, with tingling and stiffness into my back and neck. The pain and tingling lasted for months, and I tried everything to make it go away, including acupuncture and even seeing a neurologist (which included a painful nerve test and an MRI). Then I found Amy, totally by accident.. I had read good reviews about her massages and her office was near my house, so I decided to give her a try. Not only did Amy give me the best massage I've ever had, but all of the pain and tingling I had been dealing with FOR MONTHS went away after just one massage! As long as Amy is in Austin, I will be a loyal customer. I really can't recommend her highly enough!! read more

Kneading Bodies - Amy Myers performing Ashiatsu massage. - Massage Near Me - Austin, Texas

Amy is a great licensed massage therapist who knows her stuff! I get a LOT of massages, and am always pleasantly surprised to find one that delivers a new and unique experience that really helps heal. Her Ashiatsu style (using feet for a deep tissue massage with long strokes is incredible! She is able to dig in with strong legs but it doesn't hurt as deep tissue can at times. She is also very in tune and found and healed my knots. This was both one of the best massages I have gotten, healed some key areas, yet was also very relaxing. Her rates are very reasonable for a therapist of this experience. Her location is a nice wellness center. There is a bit of road noise but it is drowned out by the nice spa music (which could have been a bit louder to really drown it out), but after a few minutes getting a great massage, I didn't notice it anymore. Overall a really great experience. THANKS for a great massage Amy! read more

Amy is always my go-to when my body is in need of some TLC! Amy is intuitive, completely engaged and always seems to know what I need even when I don't tell her. She obviously knows the human body inside and out and never just "gives me a rub down." I always feel like I'm being taken care of and I walk out of there feeling like a new person. If you want to be energized and have a true healing experience, I highly recommend Amy!!! read more

Got a 60 minute deep tissue massage from Amy yesterday and it was a great experience. Online scheduling was very flexible and easy to use, even with my request for a day-of appointment. Massage was great quality, and Amy seemed very knowledgeable and attentive to my specific problem areas. The only downside for me was the price, which is a bit outside of my normal budget for massage. I got this massage through a daily deal site for half off. For a discounted rate, I would definitely go back. From a pure service and experience perspective, this is a definite 5 star massage. read more

Amy is as awesome as it gets. I've been seeing her for almost 4 years for massage, and can testify that she is consistently great. I'm a hair stylist, so I often bring her a pretty tight and messed up back and shoulder situation. She always rescues me : ) Intuitive and talented, you won't be disappointment. read more

Amy is hands down one of the best practioners I"ve had the pleasure of getting a massage from- and I've been to almost every fancy spa in Austin! Her studio is a lovely, tranquil, relaxing space nestled beneath Live Oaks in the Zilker area. Amy's background in dance gives her a unique in depth knowledge of the body & its muscles. She has a way of knowing exactly what areas need extra attention, and adjusting her pressure to really get to the tension. Her sessions include aromatherapy oils, hot towels, a comfy heated table, & soothing music. You will FEEL like you are in an expensive spa right here in central Austin! Treat yourself- it's worth it! read more

My success with massage practitioners was hit or miss until I visited Amy. She asks just enough to understand your unique needs, then is able to feel out any trouble spots and work to relieve them. I suffer from chronic lower back pain and Amy is able to ease the pain for months after a visit. I highly recommend her! read more

The reviews for this place should be a 10 star! Seriously, my upper back to my neck was hurting badly due to working out and sitting down 5 days a week at work. Amy did a fantastic job introducing herself to me and asking me about my health/soreness. The ashiatsu massage is a must for all people. She got into every inch of my back. I encourage everyone to get a massage. It's good for your health and stress level. I'll definitely be back here again. Thank you, Amy! You're great at what you do. read more

Amy was very patient when I was explaining the history of my neck and shoulder pain and I walked out feeling pain free! Deep tissue massage worked on necessary areas but was simultaneously very relaxing. I've had a lot of massages in my life and this may have been the best. Would recommend Amy to anyone! read more

As a musician, I perform a lot of shows throughout the year, and often go through my day dealing with tension, muscle pain, and headaches from fatigue. I have never had such a rejuvenating massage experience before going to Kneading Bodies. Amy is incredible. Her attention to detail is unparalleled. The space is clean, calming and comfortable. From beginning to end I felt completely relaxed and even felt relief from my seasonal allergies. The next day, I felt lighter than I had felt in such a long time. If you are thinking of finding a new LMT, or going for the first time, you WILL NOT be disappointed when you come to Kneading Bodies. I promise. read more

So phenomenal. I felt like a million bucks after Amy worked on me. If I could afford it, I would go every week. I've seen a lot of massage therapists--Amy holds place among the best for her knowledge and excellent techniques. Go here! read more

Loved this place. I went here after having a very stressful day that led to my back feeling pretty tense and immobile. I love deep tissue and Ashiatsu and Amy gave me a combo of the two styles that made my pain disappear in an hour. She also included some warm towels and an excellent foot massage! Amy is very intuitive. I feel bad because I forgot to tip, so Amy, if you're reading this, sorry! I'll make up for it on my next visit, which WILL happen! read more

It felted like Amy had worked magic on me. I had strained a muscle group in my middle/upper back, and Amy was able to release a lot of the tension and soreness I was feeling. I felt very relaxed, and like a new person after the session. She also recommend some helpful at home foam roller techniques I could use to ad my recovery. I highly recommend her! read more

Seriously people, do yourself a favor and go see Amy! I usually get ashiatsu and always walk out of there feeling amazing. Amazing, as in you're going to feel like a bowl of jello...in a good way. I'm not sure when/if she's going to get ashiatsu bars at her new place so until then I'm going to stick with the good ol' fashioned deep tissue massage. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!! read more

Amy is great. I agree with the other reviewers as far as attention to detail goes. Best massage I have had in years.

I have been to two massage workshops- a foam roller class and a thai couples massage class- that Amy has taught and they were both amazing. Amy was sensitive to our needs and fine tuned the experience for us. She is clearly knowledgable about anatomy and massage technique. She has a calming and gentle demeanor. I would recommend her to anyone and I would choose her for my future massage sessions hands-down! read more

I got my first massage with Amy a couple weeks ago, and I'm hoping to go back for more soon! I checked her out after getting a groupon and didn't have any particular area I wanted her to focus on at the time, so I just got a whole-body deep-tissue massage, and it was one of the most relaxing massages I've ever gotten. I have had some issues resulting from a herniated disc in my neck, and so I've gotten a lot of massages to help with that pain. Amy wasn't as aggressive as a lot of the other therapists I've been to for deep tissue, and I might want more of that if I go back to her in pain at some point, but the massage I got the other day was great. She incorporated heat and a few other nice techniques that I hadn't encountered before, and those added touches plus the nice ambiance of the space made it a very pleasant and stress-relieving experience. read more

Received a partner massage class yesterday learning to give and receive a little neck and should love.
