I've had MANY massages over the past 15 years for back and neck problems. Recently, I had really bad pain in my arms, with tingling and stiffness into my back and neck. The pain and tingling lasted for months, and I tried everything to make it go away, including acupuncture and even seeing a neurologist (which included a painful nerve test and an MRI). Then I found Amy, totally by accident.. I had read good reviews about her massages and her office was near my house, so I decided to give her a try. Not only did Amy give me the best massage I've ever had, but all of the pain and tingling I had been dealing with FOR MONTHS went away after just one massage! Amy is a great licensed massage therapist who knows her stuff! I get a LOT of massages, and am always pleasantly surprised to find one that delivers a new and unique experience that really helps heal. Her Ashiatsu style (using feet for a deep tissue massage with long strokes is incredible! She is able to dig in with strong legs but it doesn't hurt as deep tissue can at times. She is also very in tune and found and healed my knots. This was both one of the best massages I have gotten, healed some key areas, yet was also very relaxing. Her rates are very reasonable for a therapist of this experience. Her location is a nice wellness center. There is a bit of road noise but it is drowned out by the nice spa music (which could have been a bit louder to really drown it out), but after a few minutes getting a great massage, I didn't notice it anymore. Got a 60 minute deep tissue massage from Amy yesterday and it was a great experience. Online scheduling was very flexible and easy to use, even with my request for a day-of appointment. Massage was great quality, and Amy seemed very knowledgeable and attentive to my specific problem areas. The only downside for me was the price, which is a bit outside of my normal budget for massage. I got this massage through a daily deal site for half off. Loved this place. I went here after having a very stressful day that led to my back feeling pretty tense and immobile. I love deep tissue and Ashiatsu and Amy gave me a combo of the two styles that made my pain disappear in an hour. She also included some warm towels and an excellent foot massage! I got my first massage with Amy a couple weeks ago, and I'm hoping to go back for more soon! I checked her out after getting a groupon and didn't have any particular area I wanted her to focus on at the time, so I just got a whole-body deep-tissue massage, and it was one of the most relaxing massages I've ever gotten. I have had some issues resulting from a herniated disc in my neck, and so I've gotten a lot of massages to help with that pain. Amy wasn't as aggressive as a lot of the other therapists I've been to for deep tissue, and I might want more of that if I go back to her in pain at some point, but the massage I got the other day was great. She incorporated heat and a few other nice techniques that I hadn't encountered before, and those added touches plus the nice ambiance of the space made it a very pleasant and stress-relieving experience. read more
