Today we moved from our home of 45 years. Obviously we were anxious on many levels. This was the day we were at the mercy of perfect strangers to remove, transport and move in all our "stuff." Within minutes of meeting Zach Martin, Zach Maslanka, and JD Orr, our anxiety about the process was gone! What a crew!! We were impressed from start to finish! They were not afraid of hard work, met every challenge, treated our possessions like they were their own, kept moving.........AND kept smiling and remained upbeat...from start to finish! By the time the job was done, we felt like our own family had moved us! In today's work force, it is hard to find good, hard workers who take pride in their work and committed to their employer BUT Kleffel's lucked out with these three guys! Thank you for a smooth, expedite, and professional move for a reasonable price! We have already referred you to several family, friends and realtors! read more

I used this company for a 54 mile move out of storage to my new house. The driver was very helpful and went out of his way to get a treadmill into the house. Unfortunately my Ryobi 40 volt lithium 14 inch chainsaw is now missing. I had to leave the storage unit to meet the home Depot delivery drivers for my new washer and dryer. I called the office phone and reported the missing chainsaw. The woman on the phone got very loud with me. She never offered to put a claim in to replace the chainsaw. Use this company if you don't mind missing expensive items! And they won't replace them. read more

Our belongings were picked up on a Wednesday with no problems . Everything was delivered the following day after our settlement on our new home. This is we're things went bad! The delivery crew consisted of different folks than those who picked us up. There was some tension among the team. There was arguing and at one point I thought there was going to be a fight in the back of the truck. One guy was more interested in his cell phone than his job. I saw my boxes being dropped, kicked and pulled down from the center of the stacked pile. At one point I commented to one of the young men that the box he just dropped at the back end of the truck was marked fragile. He just looked at me with no comment. I contacted one of the owners and she apologized for the behavior of her crew and said that it would be addressed. I told her I was concerned about my belongings and was worried about finding damages. There was no comment to that remar. sure enough as I started unpacking my belongings I found numerous damaged items estimated to be at least $400. The saddest thing about this is the engagement and wedding ring that was stolen from a sealed baggie in my dresser. You can see in the picture of the glass votive cup holder were the plastic baggie was torn open. I am devastated. I contacted the owner about my damaged goods and was told that since they didn't box it up that they couldn't take responsibility for it. They did offer to fix my pressure washer were the handle was crushed and a bed frame where the welded leg was snapped off. However they have already been replaced. Find yourself another moving company because these guys are not serious about moving you safely. read more

I called around looking for movers. When I called here the person who answered and helped me was wonderful and professional which sold me right away. The movers arrived and were beyond excellent. They wrapped the furniture to keep from scratching and there was much weight to some of the pieces and they did wonderful with it. We are very pleased and highly recommend this company. Thank you so much for making this so easy! Hoping we never have to move again but if we do this is the only company I will use! And they even came in well below estimate. Love them! read more

We moved from our home in Blandon of 22 years to a ranch style home two miles away. Our realtor had recommended Kleffel's. From the time I called to ask for an estimate to the moment they left our new resident, we were impressed with their efficient, friendly, hard working movers as well as with the final cost of the move that actually came in lower than the estimate. They arrived right on time at 9:00 am. Mr. Kleffel and 3 other men did a great job of loading our entire house and by 3:00 were finished putting things in place in our new home. Everything was moved with the upmost care. All of the beds were in place when they left including the one in our master bedroom that is very hard to reassemble because of a twisted frame. We were amazed and how much these men could lift with ease. They even helped unload items from our cars, seeing that we were wearing out. So when you are looking for a moving company, you won't be disappointed with Kleffel's Moving & Storage in Hamburg. The indeed earned a five star rating. Dori H. read more

I loved the way they bubble wrapped the furniture, etc. They were efficient in moving everything into the truck. They unassembled bed, etc. and reassembled in new house. It was a long day but everyone seemed up for the task. I would use them again. FYI, ask for moving prices in writing ahead of time and double check what you're paying for. We went with one truck and 4 guys since our move was a short one. It was more cost-effective to load the truck twice since the houses were 10 miles apart. read more

I used them twice. They were fantastic. I used them when I moved to Wyomissing from a distance and then had to rent for a year til we found the right house and used them again for local. I would recommend them to a friend They really worked super hard and moved very fast. read more

Overall the guys that moved me were good guys that busted their butts. There was damage to some furnitures that some was acknowledged and promised to be corrected with no response back yet after calls and inquiries and some was not shown until later when we looked over the furniture. This is an issue as some of the furniture was fairly expensive and they were pretty rough with some of it. The arrival time on the first day was about 2 hours too late and brought more guys than we asked for, which was ok as long as I was not charged for it. When we went to pay the next day we were advised of an additional $240 service fee we were not advised of when making arrangements which threw us for a loop. Overall I think they could do MUCH better with communication and efficiency with ownership and management to make sure everything is clear and no surprises. Also actually following up on fixing the damage created like promised. read more

As a single woman, moving 20 years of house without much outside help, these guys couldn't have been more incredible... They helped with anything I asked, including loading a few cars and building my trash pile. Zach, you're the best.....I won't let anyone I know move without you. You made a difficult job bearable. Even enjoyable. read more

Kleffel's Moving & Storage are nice people to work with(husband and wife team). They quoted me a price for a 30 mile move of $1800.00, they said that it would be no more than that. A week or two before the move they told me I would have three guys to load and five guys to unload, and so it would take less time. Not true. Even though there were FIVE guys on the delivery end it went very slow. I even saw two guys just standing in a bedroom watching one guy put the mirror on a dresser. They had two trucks and instead of unloading one truck upstairs and the other one in the basement like we had discussed. They all unloaded the first truck upstairs tripping over each other(small house). Then unloaded the second truck again no room for five guys to move so some did nothing but stand around. I just want to say efficient use of manpower and time is not their strong suit. After the move was finished I was presented with a bill that was higher than the $1800, when I questioned it the owner said it took more time than they thought and that was the bill. I agree it took more time, but that was because of the manor of the delivery. I would not use them again for another move. read more
