Steve, Dave and Dave were super helpful and kind when we had a flat tire in the winter. They were really friendly and reassuring on the phone. They met us at the door and jumped to help. They made a stressful situation with kids calm. Thank you for being so helpful and getting us quickly back on the road. read more

We have a Volkswagen Jetta TDI diesel We could not get the diesel to pass inspection. After multiple trips to the service station and thousands of miles driving the car, it would not turn over. We called Klaus garage and spoke to Dave the owner. He told us to bring the car in and they would take a look. Dave and his team took the car in and evaluated it. They kept in contact with us through out the whole process. Very professional and knowledgeable. Dave was able to get the car to pass inspection and without his expertise, we don't feel anybody else could've. Thank you Dave and your team for a great job!!!! read more

I have had some work done on other vehicles in the pass and really have had no issue , but recently I had my pick up truck worked on and NYS inspection they explained what was wrong with it and I can see that they were somewhat right . I get quoted a really high dollar amount that I just could do . so I cancel certain things and when I get the bill that charged a fee for locating parts . plus I didn't have a check engine light on then I get the call hey the check engine light is on . So I paid them I cleared the code ran the drive cycle and passed inspection . 3500 plus bill . I felt like I had a friend there , not anymore I fell stabbed in the back . I will never do business with them any more . STAY AWAY FROM THEM . read more

An honest and kind business. Fixed what they could, and kindly explained what was wrong, and still needed repairs..... purchased a lemon... this is the only garage that was instead of charging me again and again.... Saying it was "fixed" - told the truth .... And left me the option of wether to toss more money at a dying car, or come back later after they had estimated what all repairs would cost. For women..... a place where they won't be snarky or rude, read more

It is a good place where, we can trust Klaus Garage, they are people with a lot of professionalism. Professional tool 100% machines and an excellent price. GOD BLESS YOU KLAUS GARAGE. read more

They are way overpriced. Charged me close to $400 to put pins back in that popped out when my car went over a curb 3 weeks prior...Then they claimed my tire was flat when they arrived that morning....odd, it wasn't flat when I dropped it off the night before. They offered to give me a "deal" if I paid in cash but the price went up instead of down! When I questioned it, I was told he didn't need to explain how he runs his business to me...He also said I needed new brakes and wanted over $500 for that! I took my car someplace else... Wouldn't you know, the old tire and rim were not in my trunk! They "forgot" to give it back!! They refused to deliver it so I had to leave the new shop, drive all the way back to Klaus and retrieve it, then back to the new shop again to start all over.....what a nightmare! read more

My wife was on a road trip and took our Subaru into a dealership for an oil change. They came back with a list of "urgent" fixes as long as her arm. She called Dave at Klaus to verify all of it (we've been taking our car there for some time) and he said most of the recommendations were routine maintenance and par for the course for a vehicle of its age and mileage. None of it was urgent. So he managed to save us money even from thousands of miles away -- after a free consult. Salt of the earth. read more

Looking for a shop who specializes in BMW/Audi/Mercedes? You found it! These guys do top notch work at prices well below the dealer. I had a break job/rotors/alignment as well as all new tires. Price was literally hundreds of dollars less than the dealers estimate for the exact same OEM parts. Very professional shop. Both the owner Dave, and the service manager Pete were a pleasure to deal with and had the car repaired correctly the first time and was ready to be picked up just as promised. 100% recommend the shop. read more

Klaus Garage - Looking for a shop who specializes in Audi/BMW/Mercedes?? You found it! They did my brakes, rotors and new tires. 100% recommended . - Auto Repair Near Me - Hopewell Junction, New York

Stay far far away from these guys. If you have any type of sport car they will work on it, then go take it out for a joy ride. I got tires mounted and the car aligned, then they went on a 7 mile "test drive". I could understand a mile or 2, but 7 miles? No way. read more

I've been going to Klaus for 2 years now and I never had a bad experience. Everyone is really helpful and looking for solutions, not new troubles. Don't look at the old comments. I know that people write comments mostly when they are upset. But I also know you won't regret you went there. read more

Skip the dealer. The dealer told me that I need control arms for $1200.00. Klaus inspected the control arms and performed a complete undercarriage inspection. He said you do not need any replacement. The control arms will last about 3 more years. The dealer told me that the bushings are torn which they are not. Honest car garage is so hard to get. I will use Klaus for all my cars. read more

Came here to get my car inspected. Heard wonderful things about this shop. Very professional, honest and gets the job done.

The stars are for seeing me and my car in one day. I had a frozen glow plug in my 2011 Jetta. The dealer wanted 15 hours of labor at 120.00 each hour, do the math. The dealer was Hudson valley VW on RT 9. That cost was before parts. I was not paying that much for a part the car is not requiring to run, but a light was on and it needed inspection. Chris at Klaus looked over the car and gave me the same price with removing the head, with labor etc. He stated he could not remove the glow plug and it was frozen in the car. I took the car over to Metric Motors off I 84 and it was done for 239.00 including parts. I feel the problem today is that all these garages know is how to change out parts, not the old school way of fixing cars. read more

I work on my own cars in general. I was running low on time and brought the car to him. He switched some cables around and told me that I put them wrong. The car started to become difficult to start when cold. Also the check engine problem came back as soon as I moved out of the lot (they could have figured with a quick testdrive so I don't have to waste a day without my car). That night, I made few hours of research and figured that my original cable connections was correct. So I ended up spending one hour of labor for nothing. They offered me to put the cables back but I had already done that so my car can start without problems. They asked me to leave it another day but I am worried they may charge more for nothing as they seem to charge by the hour rather than the project that is finished. The other think I don't like about the place is that you always have to leave your car there. You cannot really wait for the repair. Also he was reluctant to give me a waiver for NYS inspection even though I legally should have the right when I spend more than $450 on an emission-related repair/parts. Other than that I believe he tries to be honest; though I didn't have too much experience with the shop to be certain. He also is an old guy with experience. read more

We were on a road trip and we got a shard of metal in our tire. This is on a Friday afternoon at 3:30.... So we're expecting places to be closing soon. We pulled in here and they were able to squeeze us in and patch it up for us. Very nice people and exactly what we expected to pay. Thank you! read more

Awesome place, honest and get the job done right the first time. Owner and manager are extremely polite.

Solid work. Zero bull. Really deep understanding of all things automotive. These guys are not just good mechanics, they know how to diagnose. Would highly recommend. read more

I never write reviews but DAVE at Klausman garage was a true gift that I am compelled to write a positive review. I was traveling through New York on my way home to PA. My right rear wheel was losing air in my BMW. Took an exit and there was Klaus Garage ( originally recommended by a man in a parking lot at the convenience store across from Klaus.) It was near closing but he immediately put the car up on a lift, accurately said the damage was a cracked rim and a gash in the tire. He was kind, a consumable profession and I immediately had a sense of well being. He efficiently directed me to a rental car place and a hotel which itself was perfect ( Le Chambord). He followed through the next morning after finding the needed parts. I didn't follow through with him doing the work because I needed a loaner car and there was a close by BMW dealership. And incidentally - DAVE quoted me a price $300 less than the BMW place where I had the repairs done. He went out of his way in a big way- and here is the thing- he didn't even have to but did anyway. A man of character. The place was clean and professional and fair. Use them ! read more

I bought my BMW 2008 3.28 in 2017 from him, he's also a great mechanic who take care of your car like his own car. Definitely, recommend.

Highwall I brought my Toyota there a few times always great service and good prices and Pete the service manager called me as soon as my vehicle was ready He is extremely professional they run a tight ship over there read more

That guy is not honest, he told me ~$800 to change a new catalytical converter before I decided. And eventually charged me ~$1400, and the excuse was some parts/labors he didn't expect. But the worst part is, he didn't even ask me before he did the changes. read more

I've owned several cars over the last 30 years and have dealt with many repair shops. I switched over to Klaus a couple of years ago. Great service and knowledge of today's technology. Also appreciate their flexibility and getting me in and out as quickly as possible. So refreshing to have this auto repair shop vs going to a dealer or those other chain type of garages where they treat you like a number. I always feel good picking up my car from Klaus Garage because I know it was properly worked on and taken care of. Their is No reason to go anywhere else for auto repair! read more

The staff at Klaus are knowledgeable regarding foreign cars and do a very thorough job which they break down for you by item and price. As far as I can tell from research their prices are reasonable and they did not strike us as rip off artists they were clear and honest about all charges. They were kind and patient and even gave us a ride home when we dropped it off and picked us up when the car was ready. They repaired our beat up 2005 Toyota Scion and we feel confident that it was a job well done. We will always go back there in future. Nice guys, clean place, do not fear rip-offs. read more

Everyone at Klaus is extremely knowledgeable and I know whenever I drop my car off there it's in the best hands. They're quick and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

Klaus is a good mechanic, but he is human and makes mistakes. The problem is when he makes mistakes he charges the customer full price while he works through his mistakes. He is very money hungry. If you have an older car he may be a shop of choice, f you have a newer car I use the dealer, I get factory parts and factory trained techs for the same price. Dealers are very price competitive these days, times have changed. I was a loyal customer for years. And BTW, the fact that he charges full price as he works through his mistakes, has made me go to another shop. read more

I was recommended to this place by a friend who had work done on several of his VWs. They took my car and diagnosed the issue properly the first time (unlike Mohegan Lake Motors) and repaired it within the same week. Parts had to be ordered and they arrived next day from what I was told. Coming here from now on for any future issues with my cars read more

No longer in business as Klaus Garage. New business as Klaus Motors LLC. Worked on my radiator and ruined the head gaskets. Not going to use him for repairs ever again. In process of filing a claim with his insurance to cover the loss of the vehicle. Go anywhere but this guy. read more
