Of course the Saturn was the most problematic, probably due to it's age but Andy kept it running for as long as he could. After having my car for over five hours I receive a call from an arrogant little man telling me they won't do the flush because their sad excuse for a mechanic took my vehicle out and he says my torque converter is shot. I have owned over 110 cars and I build many vehicles and I KNOW this car was excellent as I've owned it a while and it is always maintained. My transmission just needed what I asked to be done. When I tell this little worm that my car is fine he continues to snidely tell me that it will be $4,700 to fix it "right" or it will not last more than a few more months. I go retrieve my car from these geniuses and promptly take it to the dealership and ask for the same service, which they perform with no issues. I also ask them to take the car for a test drive and a transmission diagnostic test to which NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND! F this location. I used to like this company and I've used other locations with no problems. They picked the wrong person to try to scam. I wonder how many people have fallen for this garbage. Hopefully AAMCO has a great benefits package so they can have their craniums surgically removed from their rectums.

Rob and Jerry checked it out promptly, and Rob called a couple of hours later to let me know it was a false alarm. Not only that, but he took the time to give me a detailed education about this car and transmission which will be extremely helpful in the future in deciding how long to keep this car on the road. Could not have been more informative! PLUS - he refused to take any money since he didn't actually need to do any repairs! Transmissions are not something I (or most people) know a lot about. If I was told it needed expensive repairs, I wouldn't have known any different. You can trust them!!! Jerry, Rob and crew are good people. They are competent, professional, prompt, reasonable and just plain nice. You can't go wrong here! p.s. over the years with those three previous cars, two of them had real transmission issues and Jerry recommended NOT repairing them; the third was also a false alarm. I was skeptical, so I wanted a second opinion. I called Jerry's and they explained the policy- bring it in early morning, give them time to look at it and we'll go from there. They called around lunch with good news- nothing wrong with the car! I was curious why I would be told that and the simple answer was, " they wanted to make some $$$ off of you, but your car is fine." I will only go here for transmission issues from now on. In July of 2016 the transmission failed in my 2003 Mercury Sable. This wasn't a shock since it was…read morea 13 year old American car but it did put me in a quandary. Should I spend 2K on a used car I knew nothing about or put that money into I car I loved and knew it's complete history. I had some misgivings but decided to have the transmission rebuilt. It turned out to be a wise decision. I'm posting this now because I just came across the receipt. That rebuilt transmission is now 3 years and 3 months old (It was warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles) and both it and the car are still going strong. I do recall that Consumers Transmission was easy to work with, had the car done when they said they would and they even came in slightly less than my original quote. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.
