I got the inspection done today and the experience was great. Jay, one of the owners, welcomed me to the shop, very friendly. I sat in the waiting area after they started the inspection. There was another customer there and we started chatting. He couldn't praise the guys there enough. This other customer and I started lamenting how a lot of businesses don't provide the same customer experience we were use to from when we were younger (yes, bunch of old guys lamenting the world is going to...) and he said J&J is one of the exceptions. Jay showed me some additional concerns on my car...brake and tire wear. He showed me the problem areas and said I have some time left but these expenses are coming down the pike. It was refreshing to see this sales approach...I was aware he was upselling the other services they offer and I was totally happy with that...that's what all businesses must do. It was the approach, education, and showing me why the repairs would be needed that convinced me that when I need the work to be done, I will go to Jay and his team. Well done guys and keep it up! PS: they have the cutest wall of kids pictures that puts a smile on your face.

My sister is virtually home-bound, and had used this 20 year old workhorse Honda Element to go back and forth to medical care once a week. The loss of the car was traumatic - and she was finding this circumstance very challenging. Al and Rory were patient, understanding, compassionate, and extremely accommodating with her and then me. When I came to clean out the car before it was junked, I met them and they were every bit as sensitive and helpful as they had been on the phone. Although I've never had work done in their shop, their expertise and sensitivity to our situation makes me perfectly comfortable recommending them to those who need repairs and related automotive work. A rare find - and I am very grateful for their help.

I have had my car inspected by them ever year for the last 4 years and it turns out no one had ever…read morechecked behind my tire at my break line and while it was being driven the breaks almost stopped working completely. It is now at the point where I need a new custom break line run in my car by the dealership. It is UNFATHOMABLE how professionals could have missed something so severe and never once alerted me to the issue. I don't know anything about cars so I take it to people who, in theory, should. If you care about your car and your personal wellbeing I would stay FAR away from this place.

Never trying to find something else to charge you for ever. They don't work weekends and will always schedule your service for the following week and once you drop it off it's ready that same day always. Very reliable and trustworthy people. My Buick has 214,000 miles on it and with all they've done, it's good for another 150,00 yet to go.

(Some car places have scorned how a female could know about carwork, but never here; in the past Mark has even said save money - you can fix this! And Eli is a fellow Dodge Dart fan, not that I have one any longer, sob sob). We go to them for advice on new old cars (last year we asked where we could find another Subaru Legacy, and they pointed across the street at the car they had just fixed - "there". So little to our surprise when we showed up to pick up the car he's showing us a bill that's $900. Mind you, we're local blue collar people. This bill was a serious blow to our household. Anyways, thinking that our car is "fixed" a week later our check engine light comes on and the car is making an awful squealing sound. Milt and his gang are great. I had a problem with my truck and I thought it may be a transmission…read moreproblem. I took it to Sharp Transmissions because of the reviews and its a transmission shop. I work on my truck as much as I possibly can but dealing with repairing a transmission is out of my wheel house. I dropped off the truck in the morning and I got a call about 2 hours later. Milt told itme he had inspected the car test drove and it was not the tranny it was the power steering pump that had a small not noticeable leak but the fluid resevoir was almost dry and that was the noise I was hearing coming from the truck. He added power sterring fluid and solved the problem but let me know it something that will need attention down the road. I thanked him I picked up my truck later that evening. Drove the truck home ran like a charm. I will certainly take it to him again when I need work done. I appreciated his honesty he could have told me I needed a new transmission instead I got a honest and fair evaluation and fix. Thanks Milt glad to see that there are still good folk out there. Oh, the joy of owning an old Jeep (now a quarter century old). Sprung a big transmission fluid…read moreleak when down in New Jersey on New Years Day. The AAA tow truck operator asked me where I wanted it to be towed, and I immediately said "Sharp Transmission." The dropped it off and put the key in the after hours slot. Next day,I called Milt and said, take a look and give me my options. No rush, I said, since I have other cars I can drive. Milt and his crew found some time to not only diagnose the problem (two rubbng hoses put a hole in one), but to repair the problem. Same day! I picked the car up this morning and it is working perfectly. Like I said before, if you are not taking your car to Sharp, you should start doing so. Great service, excellent communication, attention to detail... Highly recommended.

Went in for something simple, new tires nothing more. So from the point of my vehicle being jacked…read moreup to the time the air gun touched the first lug nut, took them 12 minutes. Not going to be winning any speed drills with those times. Another 12 minutes & the first tire is done. & 13 minutes for the second. Then from the time the lugs were tightened to the time that it was off the lift, was another 15 minutes. Everything was followed by a 12 minute test drive down the road & back, before i was on my way. But not without an attempt at telling me that my 6 month old tires look like they're in need of replacement soon. So, not a busy day & 64 minutes to change out 2 tires. I was in no rush, so i was not concerned.
