Well, I went against my better judgmene to belive any mode of public transporatation in the Bay Area as reliable. During my enrollment at SJSU I took the 68 bus to the lightrail and was consistetnly late, making me late my 30+ mins. Didn't matter if I conitunted to attempt the catch the earlier bus, some buses wouln't even show up! I finally called VTA in rage asking why some shceuled busses don't show up, why the busses are alwarys late, and why during route, the driver would just stop and sit at stop that had no people waiting and nobody requested the stop. Her reponse was due to the shortage of drivers and the stopping/waiting for periods of time was due to becuase "sometimes the drivers are earlier". SO VTA clearly can't get a single thing right. I gave up and endured the commute. So today, Novemeber 1st, 23, I arrive at the Giroy transit station at 6:08am to the catch the 6:29am 303 CalTrain to Palo Alto which is scheduled to arrive in Palo Alto at 7:52am. To make this short, the train was never stationed! In fact, all three scheudled trains after the 6:29am train, enevr departed. Everyone (30+ people) weren't notiified until 6:45am by an employee stated there was a "computer issue like week guys". He stated they didn't know when they would depart and they're trying a different train (the 6:50am train). So for over an hour, CalTrain employees sat in the same train as we outside on "standby" with no estimate of departue. Instead, they stated we can take the express bus to Diridon Stattiona the would honor out CalTrain ticket. First, not everyone is going to SJ, others Palo Alto like me, some Belmont, some SF, what were are options??? Oh right, to go sit in prime time traffic that we could have missed if we left the same time we were waiting for the Train to leave. Second, anyone who took the Express Bus would have serverly overpaid as CalTrain fares are more expensive. At 7:30am, as no update was given and the employee standing there, I left to go sit in an hour and fifty minutes to get to Palo Alto. Before I got on the road, I called the CalTrain customer service and to tell them about the siutation. The lady stated CalTrain knows. I told her how myself and other not olny are know over an hour late for work, but we just lost close to 2 hours of pay. I told this is my first time taking CalTrain in over 10 years and this is not a good first impression back. I asked how oftern does this happen becuase CalTrain is not comming off as a reliable source of transporation and you know what she said?? She told me the same thing happnede last for a couple of days, the week after last, and a feew times last maonth!!!!! I told her that is abosutly ridoucouls and how could CalTrain even justify their fare prices and the upcoming fare increase! She stated, "well, it's old system and the fare increase is going to replce the old system that will happned around Fall next year." I said, I don't have until next year to wait for a reliable train, I am suppose to be at work in 30 mins. So, what are my options and most likely yours?? Either move as close to possible to where you work or simple move out this is god for saken area! II'm born and raised here in Gilroy, live in two other big metro areas out of state and have been all over the world. I can say with 100% confence the ublic transportation system in the Bay Area is literally thw orst in the world! On of that, this place, the weather, the salary isn't worth dacfrices sitting in stop and go traffic for 3 hour a day just to go 30 miles, yes, I'm taking aobut SJ as well. Caltrain sohuld be absoutly embarssed after today's ordeal. There's literally no justification for what there charging especially when with a commuter car the get 30 miles a gallon, it literally the same price if not cheaper (even with $5 gas) to take CalTrain. No wonder their ridership is down, CalTrain isn't reliable!!! *I'm not spell checking my epic novel as voyage just to get to work. Figure it out!

This is a nice little pink Greyhound station which I only used one time which was the only time I've ever been to Gilroy actually. I was on an extended tour for a month or so going up and down the West Coast visiting basically every town. I spent a few days in the major cities, and one or two days in smaller cities, and then half a day in some of the tiny cities such as Gilroy. It's pretty beautiful here with some flatlands and then some mountains in the background. Gilroy Premium Outlets may actually be one of the most important things in town in terms of bringing people here, but I do love their little pink Transit Center which was actually yellow before, and seems to go back and forth between pink and yellow, so I'm not sure what it is right now, though pink was most recent time I visited. It's actually built primarily as a Caltrain system but it has Greyhound written in big blue letters on the front so everybody knows that it's not just for trains.

My grandson is 17 but unfamiliar with Oakland and what to do when he missed his Oakland connect. I was not sure what would happen either about missing the connecting bus due to the delay. The greyhound station in Gilroy is closed from 1-2 (1:35) which is exactly when the only greyhound leaves out of GIlroy....terrible planning on Greyhound's part. I called Greyhound and never got a return call after I left a message. I'm currently trying to get a refund. I'm afraid to even have my grandson take greyhound again with how much they cut service. It used to stop at various local businesses. Anyways, my grandson ended up taking a VTA bus to San Jose and I drove from Sacramento to pick him up. It seems they only have one greyhound in Sacramento now as well. I called customer service today and waited 30 minutes and then the rep said I had ask for a refund online which I already did and got no response from Greyhound, so I guess my next step is to write to the corporate office. If I do get my refund I'll be sure to come back and make this a 1 star review.

I'm pretty annoyed with the On-Call service right now. Let…read moreme start off by saying, I'm an avid bus rider, and the On-Call service is a fantastic service if you are in Marina and only need to go somewhere in Marina. It's $1.50 (WOW!) and you call up or use the app to set up a pick-up and drop-off time. It's like a really cheap taxi, except it only goes places in Marina. It's perfect for me because I live and work in Marina. I've only used this service a hand full of times now because I don't always know exactly when my work for the day will be done, and therefore don't know when to schedule. But I have used it a few times. My problem with it is this: it's not reliable (in my opinion, from the few times I've used it.) The drivers are so friendly, and when it works, it works. And did I mention it's only $1.50? It's that cheap for ANYONE! As for the unreliability thing: one of the times I had a pick-up scheduled, when the driver was outside he called me to let me know and I went right out. Another time, I got a text from the service letting me know that the bus was a minute or so away. All great right? Well... another time I waited outside for over 30 minutes and by that time my boyfriend was off work and just came to pick me up. I called them to cancel and they had no idea why the driver wasn't there by that point. Why didn't I call sooner, you ask? Because I know how buses are, I know they can be late or delayed, and I didn't have another option so I just waited patiently. That leads to today. I had scheduled a 3:15 ride. I realized I would probably be off sooner than that, so I called, cancelled that ride, and scheduled one for 2:30. Around 2:30, I peeked out of my work to see if they were there, they weren't, so I grabbed my stuff, clocked out and went out to wait. I waited until 3 o'clock, (again, waiting patiently) and finally called to see if they were coming and what the ETA was. The man on the phone said that it was cancelled because the driver was there and didn't see me so he had called them and left. I may not have been outside at 2:30 on the DOT but I was not out there past 2:32. The guy said that there's a five minute window. Then why did he leave so early? He said they only wait 2 minutes. Okay, but you can't count those two minutes BEFORE 2:30! "Fivee minute window" my tush! My question is this: why would I get a call one time, a text another, and another time no notice at all? AND he left before I could even walk outside. If you're going to call people for their ride, do it every time. If you're going to send automated texts, do it every time. If you're not going to do either, then don't do them ever! Luckily, I managed a ride, otherwise I would've been stuck there. Oh, and when I arrived home, the bus was right on my street... How annoying is that? Like I said, this is a great service. I just wish it were more consistent. If you live in Marina and travel in Marina, you should definitely try this service. Just make sure to be clear, ask questions, and apparently be outside super early.

When I drove into this station, I realized that it was huge. There were plenty of parking - both outside right in front of the station and inside the garage, which was a bit farther to walk from, but obviously had more shade. I also saw that they had chargers for EVs right in front. After paying the parking ticket, $3/day, I walked over to the station to find my friends. It was very quiet around 10:30 on a weekend, which was surprising to me - I thought much more people would be taking BART on the weekends. Maybe it was too early/late? Once we got our Clipper Cards, we went through the turnstile and started our trip. It wasn't crowded at all as we got on, but more and more people got on as we got closer to SF. As we were moving past a bunch of the other stations, I realized that not all stations were created equal - at least from what I could see out the window. Berryessa station seemed much calmer, cleaner and more spacious than many of the other stations - as well as more updated. I'm not sure when each station was built - so it could be that Berryessa may be one of the newer stations and therefore more modern looking. Our ride back later in the afternoon had more people, but even then - not fully packed at all. We were still all able to find seats and ride comfortably back. We did think about walking over to the Flea Market, but decided against it in the end as we were all tired from our adventure in the city.

She is wheelchair bound and not able to assist with getting in/out of vehicles. Therefore, we rely on MST rides to take her to personal visits such as hair salons and so forth. We have had more negative encounters on MST rides than positive ones. The worst incident occurred during Easter weekend. Our plans were to attend a church service and then lunch at a local restaurant. While securing the bookings, we advised the scheduler of the times we needed to be at each place because we had a reservation at the restaurant and church starts at a set time. We were at the designated places over the recommended 15 minutes pickup time. On Easter Sunday the bus was close to two hours late which caused us to be over an hour late for church. We had to keep calling the dispatcher Chris repeatedly to find out when we would be picked up. He was downright rude and hung up on the receptionist at Carmel Hills Care Center. We were over thirty minutes late for our lunch reservation which shortened the time we could spend at the restaurant. Fortunately, the weather was warm because the bus was late picking us up from the restaurant. Overall, it was an incredibly stressful day which should have been a relaxing, pleasant day. I find the practices at MST rides unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disrespectful to the disability community. Since the peninsula is a major tourist area, you would think they would schedule additional drivers during peak times.
