Scheduling was easy, and I had orders sent by my doctor via secure fax. After receiving an email reminder the day before, Alondra arrived on time and took care to prepare a sterile area, even covering her shoes before coming in. She took the time to find a good vein and even helped ensure successful access by applying a heating pad to my arm. The draw was quick and she was able to pull multiple tubes. I still got faint but that was ok because I was comfortable on my couch and her comforting demeanor ensured I felt better quickly. She has all the equipment needed to prep the samples before bringing them to the lab and the whole process took less than 20 minutes including the vein quest and vasovagal recovery! Highly recommend!

We have a very bright and efficient young woman from Visiting Angels in our home three afternoons a…read moreweek to help care for a 95 year old woman and to assist her partner who recently injured a knee. She does lots of errands for us including shopping for groceries, driving the patient to the doctor, going to the pharmacy, taking her patient for a short walk or wheel chair ride in one of our lovely parks. Around home she takes care of bed making and laundry and some minor indoor and outdoor chores. She is also here midday so prepares lunch as well. She is very efficient and is always on time and completes her tasks in time to be sociable and friendly with her patient. As a result, the patient likes her caregiver very much. Prior to this caregiver, we had another who was just as lovely and caring and efficient. We have loved them both and would recommend them highly for any caregiver or other job. In addition , we can't say enough about Visiting Angels and its staff. They screen and train their caregivers well and are very cooperative and understanding if there has to be a change of schedule. They are Johnny on the spot about any necessary substitution. The office pkeep us informed by phone and always give us time to make decisions. We hired them because we heard all of these good things about them. Believe me, they do not disappoint.

About a year and a half ago Watsonville Residential Care changed hands and is now managed by former…read moreowners of Chanticleer Home in Santa Cruz. It changed its name as well to Montecito Manor. Since then the place kept going up and down in quality of care, and finally took a serious dive. Now it's awful. The help is unqualified, communication between caregivers and administration is non-existent. They claim memory care - they have no clue. They warehouse the more advanced cases. It seems all the actions are aimed at making it convenient for the facility not for the residents. They lose and destroy residents' clothing and belongings. Just awful.
