If I could leave zero stars, I would…read more This is the first review I've ever written -- not because I'm one to complain, but because the level of service I received at this shop was unacceptable and needs to be addressed. I brought my boat in to have speakers installed and the gauges repaired, which were not functioning. After a diagnostic, I was advised to replace the impeller. I agreed, thinking it made sense to get everything done while the boat was already in the shop. When I returned to pick up the boat, the total cost was significantly higher than what I was originally quoted -- with no prior communication or explanation. On top of that, the interior of my boat was returned to me in unacceptable condition: oil and grease stains on the carpet and seats, as if there was no regard whatsoever for cleanliness or care. To make matters worse, after using the boat twice, the speakers and amplifier already stopped working. I reached out, hoping for a reasonable conversation about resolving the issue, only to be told it's not covered. No accountability. No effort to make it right. And as a final touch, a cup holder went missing during the installation -- which they also dismissed. If you're looking to overpay, have your boat treated carelessly, and receive subpar workmanship, this is the place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

What a fantastic recommendation it became! Eric and Alicia were so incredibly kind and responsive to our estimate request and repair needs. Throughout the entire repair and service experience both Eric and Alicia maintained regular communication on the status of our boat. We were thoroughly satisfied with the fair pricing and the professionalism of the J & H staff that repaired our 2021 Bowrider. J & H has found a new, happy, and lifetime customers! Thank you again J & H! The Martinez family!

*Great & Amazing Experience, I will come again sometime*…read more This was my first time choosing to rent from this company. I was worried that I had to rent a U-Haul pickup truck to tow their equipment. No Worries!! After making a reservation online, you show up on time. Time is important, it was quite a drive and I was 30 minutes late to my reservation. It was all good, I made it on time to enjoy the jet skis! Upon arrival, a person will brief you everything. Once completed, you follow the person towing your rental to the launch gate. Parking is $20, cash only! From there, you will enjoy your rental! Despite my experience, I did ran through a problem during my rental. I followed their rules and yet I got a warning light. Called the phone number they have given me, luckily I was with a buddy. They sent guys out to tow the jet ski, thank you! After we got back, no problems or damages were found on both jet skis. Small issue was oil overfill during the time the jet ski went through maintenance. It was understandable but I was given $25 for my next rental and refund back. We've taken it with care and hope someday to return to have fun!! S/O to the staff, thank you once again :)

He's easy to work with and he is most professional. In the end, he had to pull the engine and I was impressed with how carefully he did that. He really knows his trade. Alison cares about clients and replies to your call, email or text in a timely manner. So, you don't have to wait long to hear back from them. In addition to being a great company they are affordable. They don't up sell and when they are there they check out the whole engine, not just what you asked them to look at. I found that most reassuring. They are respectful of your boat and are very clean when they work. I highly recommend Luis, Alison and Bay Area Marine

(a mistake!), and communicated through What's Up. After the yardwork was done (a good job!), he moved the boat to our slip, and that's where the delays started, the no-response behavior has continued until today, Aug 1. Occasionally we'd get a brief apology...he was busy, had a cold, etc. but then silence again for weeks. This was insurance remediation work and, Luis had promised to handle the insurance paperwork. Yesterday our insurance was cancelled for lack of paperwork. Now we're sitting with an unfinished job, no insurance, and no boat to sail all summer long. After I post this I will tell Luis I will take it down if he finishes the job, so if this post is still up, nothing has changed. Wish me luck. Boat is a Catalina 30 in Sausalito.

Instead of First Class Yacht Sales they should be called "Worst Class Yacht Sales"!…read more Found a boat online that we were interested in that was published both on their site as well a boattrader.com. We saw that they opened at 8AM on Saturday so called a little after 7 and left a message about our interest in the boat, by 8:30 we hadn't heard anything and called multiple times to all the numbers listed on their website. After not hearing back we decided to make the 2 hour drive out to the shop since we were serious buyers. Had cash in hand and everything. After viewing their website we thought it was like any other boat shop, instead it ended up being a shack at the dock. We called several times before arriving and not a single call back. After arriving we kept calling still no answer. Finally left, after 20 minutes back on the road the owner calls, we state how unhappy we were to drive all that way and not a single person was there nor did they answer any calls, his excuse was that they don't open until noon. When I pointed out that their website posts 8am and the sign on the door stated 8am he questioned me like he didn't even know what time they opened. How do you own a company, publish your hours and not even know what time you're open? I just hung up on him. A few minutes later his son calls, again stating they don't open until noon, then has the nerve to say we should call first. Well buddy, we did. Both to the landline and the two cell numbers posted on their site! We ask about the boat we saw advertised and he tells us then that it had been sold over a week and a half ago. What kind of business are they running? Post hours they don't know about, won't answer any of their four numbers listed, then leaves a boat sold on not just their site but another site as well? So not professional!!

**REVIEW FOR SAUSALITO LOCATION**…read more My recent, and rather extensive, experience at KKMI Sausalito was truly top notch. I purchased a boat out of my local area and wanted to accomplish some significant refit work before relocating it to Southern California. The entire crew at KKMI was professional, knowledgeable and just great to work with. They worked hard to stay on schedule and and maintained excellent communication throughout. It's a boat, so there were a few last minute surprises but KKMI managed them well, making sure I did not miss my departure window. Thank you to the entire KKMI team (with special thanks to Project Manager, Mitch) for making a large project as stress-free as possible and delivering a quality result that was proven out on the 400nm shakedown trip home.
