I could have saved so many thousands of dollars and ruined boat trips. I had the pleasure of using their services recently, and I was so impressed with the quality of their work, The speed of their diagnosis, the fair price and the professionalism of their staff. I had my boat in for one of those nasty electrical / computer issues on my 2002 Mercruiser 496 MAG I have been dealing with for over a year. I've had several Boat mechanics and certified Mercruiser repair teams troubleshoot the problem. I've also spent thousands of dollars replacing parts and things recommended on Youtube only for more disappointment and lost time on the water. The team at Pacific Boat Services found, diagnosed and repaired the problem PROPERLY in less than an hour. Explained the issue in detail and charged me a fair price to FINALLY get her fixed and back on the water. They also gave me some recommendations on other work needed that I had no idea of and potentially saved me thousands more by catching and informing me of these very serious issues. Ramon, Kelvin, Michelle, Evelyn and the entire staff went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied with the work that they did. I was also very happy with the price that I paid for the repairs, and I felt that I got a great value for my money. Overall, I had a great experience with Pacific Marine Services. They are a highly skilled and professional team that provides a WIDE range of boat repair services. They even do excellent custom Canvas work. The recent repairs were completed quickly and efficiently. (2 hrs for problems I've spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars trying to find and fix) Now my boat is very happy and so am I. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of any kind of boat repair services.

I never yelp or give bad reviews, but do not take your boat here. $3100.00 and I have to have their work finished. Not all of their work was bad, but they can't troubleshoot. Don't make the mistake I did.

Estimate vs actual bill was huge difference. On top of it, there were a number of things that…read moreweren't fixed at all and had to be done again. I paid to have the trim-tabs fixed twice, and then they still didn't work - his response was to say that the bumpy roads must have loosened something - and he charged me again to come out and fix. As soon as I got the boat back, I noticed my ground-wire for the engine/lower-unit was broken/dangling. His response was that I must have hit the dock when I took the boat (1. I *backed out*, 2. there's no way that anything could have reached that 6in wire without smashing the entire outboard). Here's the best part: I had a brand new kicker that had 20 hrs on it, but I dragged it and spun the prop/lower unit out - I bought a new lower-unit but it turns out that water got into the head and it seized. I got Gordon to replace that with a brand new kicker, and I had him hang on to the replaced unit so I could eventually use for parts (new lower, electronics, trim pump). I just asked when I could pick that up and he told me "sorry... I took that to the dump a week after I did your job". He knew I intended to keep that, and just threw it out? What mechanic would throw away all those brand new spare parts? That's right - no one would. Hope he at least got good money for that... It's a small community, and I've heard essentially the story thing from a couple other trusted buddies.

He Charged Us For Oil Change That Had Been Done Already , Overcharged on Labor!!!? He Bold Faced Lied To Us That The Scanner Code We Need Is In Our Boat That( we paid for) it's not there. ., He will not return calls or Text . He was scheduled to return our boat as is ( not running) 9.am was late we had apps he parked our boat with a Balance of $1920. He texted & pretexted To get his pay & Added another $480, !!!!! He Was right on time to the min to get his money!!!! This is when the final straw came when I made the mistake of paying him before the scanner code was in my hand . We paid him Cash Out the gate as a favor on his taxes $3 to $400 in savings ., Shame on Us For Trusting Him & The Recommendation On Lodi 411 // My Husband is 78 i'm 75 we need to sell our Boat!!! I wouldn't recommend Gordon to Work on my Bike!!!! We Trusted Him , Were Screwed & We Only Hope This Doesn't Happen To More PeopleMAD AS HELL

If I could leave zero stars, I would…read more This is the first review I've ever written -- not because I'm one to complain, but because the level of service I received at this shop was unacceptable and needs to be addressed. I brought my boat in to have speakers installed and the gauges repaired, which were not functioning. After a diagnostic, I was advised to replace the impeller. I agreed, thinking it made sense to get everything done while the boat was already in the shop. When I returned to pick up the boat, the total cost was significantly higher than what I was originally quoted -- with no prior communication or explanation. On top of that, the interior of my boat was returned to me in unacceptable condition: oil and grease stains on the carpet and seats, as if there was no regard whatsoever for cleanliness or care. To make matters worse, after using the boat twice, the speakers and amplifier already stopped working. I reached out, hoping for a reasonable conversation about resolving the issue, only to be told it's not covered. No accountability. No effort to make it right. And as a final touch, a cup holder went missing during the installation -- which they also dismissed. If you're looking to overpay, have your boat treated carelessly, and receive subpar workmanship, this is the place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

What a fantastic recommendation it became! Eric and Alicia were so incredibly kind and responsive to our estimate request and repair needs. Throughout the entire repair and service experience both Eric and Alicia maintained regular communication on the status of our boat. We were thoroughly satisfied with the fair pricing and the professionalism of the J & H staff that repaired our 2021 Bowrider. J & H has found a new, happy, and lifetime customers!
