Let me start with, my ski hasn't run in 8 years. I've had numerous mechanics saying they didn't know and to call Kawasaki. I did. They no longer work on 2 strokes, they did a little past warranty work but did not fix the problem. I called Mark and told him what was wrong and what everyone else said. I also told him I only had $1800 to fix it. He said stop by, I'll look, no problem. I brought it to him and he said I think I can fix it. He called and texted me every bit of the way. He offered a easier flush kit and charge system and said we would be well below what I budgeted for. And it would make it easier for me and the kids. I went to pick up my ski today. MY SKI IS RUNNING LIKE IT NEVER HAD A ISSUE. He showed me and my kids how to use the flush kit and battery charger. Best part is it didn't cost even half of what I said he could spend!!! Honesty is a very high priority on my list. Most businesses now a days would of ate up my money with out a second thought. Especially seeing a woman coming with 4 kids, lol. Mark is a JET SKI Master! I have been taking my Jet Ski's to Mark for almost 25yrs now. He has built X2 650 & 750 skis for me along with Yamaha Waveblaster, Ski Doo Xp and many more. His knowledge of jet ski's is endless and can trouble shoot any issue. His knowledge of surf riding and setting up a ski properly for the ocean is amazing. He knows every trick in the book and wrote a few chapters himself. He is always up front and goes into great detail about your ski and what it will take to repair or modify it. I have 4 Jet Ski's. 3 X2s 2 0f which or 750s and 1 Waveblaster. They are all running top notch because of Mark. Mark promotes the jet ski lifestyle so positive by encouraging people to go riding, introducing them to surf riding and organizing riding get togethers at places like Pismo Beach. Mark has taught me so much about the mechanics of Jet ski's that I owe so much to him. I do not live local to Napa so a lot of the time he helps me over the phone to save me a long trip to Napa. I'd describe him as "salty, and quirky". Once you get past that he is good guy to deal with. He is honest to a fault. I had looked at a few skis and asked mark about one he was selling. He suggested for what I wanted that I stay away from that ski, he told me they were notoriously unreliable and would only cause me headache. Since that time I have done more and more business with him. I am handy myself so I do not take my skis to him for everything. However every time I do deal with him I am very pleased. He doesn't sell the cheeeeeaaaaappppp chinese junk parts scattered in Ebay- He does offer lower cost items, but will tell you the truth about them. He has a huge inventory of used parts for these old jetskis- since nobody makes new parts and ebay has stupid crazy prices- mark is good guy to deal with. Bottom line, He is honest, reasonable, and knows his skis. I dont know of a better place to have work done, or buy parts. read more

If your PWC needs a mechanic, Mark is your guy. Brought my Seadoo out of storage for the first time this year and it wouldn't start. Plenty of battery, just wouldn't turn over. I spoke with Mark on Sunday morning, hoping to be able to get the repair done by Monday, the following week. After some discussion and diagnosis over the phone he said to bring it to him later in the day. I got it to him at around 5:00 pm on a Sunday, got a call the next morning at around 8:00 am; "It's done, come get it." I've never experienced that kind of turnaround, especially during the height of the summer season. Mark has a customer for the life of my PWC. BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CROOK!!!!! He had a jetski for sale on craiglist. My dad drove all the way to Napa ( we are an hour away) with the promise of a jetski in great condition. We gave him $3k cash and took it back home to try it out. We rode it for THIRTY MINUTES and it died. We were stranded in the middle of the delta for 2 hours until getting a tow. After getting back home we called Mark and he said there is nothing he can do. REALLY?! We had the ski in the water for 30 minutes, the least you can do is look at it and make it right. Mark, you are a crook and I hope people read this and never do business with you. The right thing to do would be to at least look at the ski and fix it. I've never had an experience like this. We are HUGE water sports buyers and sellers and will make sure that no one we know will ever do business here. Big mistake! read more

Jon G., I can't imagine that we are talking about the same Mark's Watercraft. I just had my SeaDoo in for new mats. Mark made us an appointment which he honoured. He looked over the whole ski and trailer and made suggestions which I so appreciated. He spent three times the time for which he charged me because I kept throwing him new "projects". He was happy to share his vast knowledge and expertise. I learned so much! I'm confident the parts I bought were new and he went so far as to save me a great deal of money by upcycling some of the existing parts. He also troubleshot some not-as-yet potential problems. Recently took our Kawasaki 750 and super sport XI into Mark for a tune up. The skis had not been used in over 5 years. Mark quickly tuned them up and did electrical work on the trailer. I am so tardy in writing this. I bought two jet skis recently then proceeded to drowned one and put a hole in the other. I was told by Kawasaki in Vallejo thousands of dollars of work. Yikes!!! Long story short Mark works out of a strange little shop that's a house and he spent hours on the water logged jet ski $300.00 worth of work and my jet ski runs beautifully now. I was told it was possibly ruined. Mark is the most experienced Jet ski repairmen in California. He has seen it all. I have never felt so confident in my life about a mechanic. I wish he worked on boats. My other jet ski, I just picked up, the one with the hole and it looks brand new again. He did the bonding work and polished and put on the new decal and its fabulous. Ok. Seems knowledgeable but a bit spacey. He was selling a 2009 Sea Doo RXT IS 255 for a client. He swore left and right everything was perfect on it. When we took it for a test ride it had an error code constantly scrolling across the screen. He seemed to blow it off like it was a fluke and then asked me to pay for his time for the test drive. I'm a bit upset that I did but he comes across like he's a struggling mechanic. I talked to a Sea Doo mechanic (who Mark referred me to) and the mechanic warned me not to buy it unless i was getting a screaming deal as the repair could cost up to $1K. Unfortunately I have too much trust in people. If someone says that a machine runs perfect and yet when it starts up a "error" code scrolls across I have to question that persons credibility. read more

I would leave a no star if I could. I brought my Kawasaki x2 to have the engine rebuilt and a lot of mods done. It was supposed to take around 30 days to complete. Week one I changed my mind and wanted to go with the 750 motor So I brought him a motor. He was totally okay with that, this was supposed to be top notch especially for the price I paid $3400 and $200 core equaling $3600 after having my ski for over two months I finally got it back, straight to the water to break it in. Soon as I put it in the water it ran worse than it did before I brought it to mark, after about 30 minutes of riding it really started getting bad so I came in and popped the hood, one spark plugs all the way out and the other was halfway out, so I get a spark plug wrench and tighten them up. Go back out for a few minutes come back in blown head gasket, I gave Mark two stop and start Killswitches to choose what better one to use and he did not use any of them , he put one on that was broken, I asked Mark for a high compression ADA head, I got an OME stock head that was machine that he chose to use and said is better. He did not tell me he was putting it on there he just chose to like a lot of other stuff on the ski which were old used broken parts. I contacted Mark ,he wants nothing to do with it and tries to blame me for the broken ski he won't even look at it told me he didn't know when Mark has time to look at it how convenient after you have all-cash. This guy has no customer service uses old broken parts charges people full price like they were new parts and when there's a problem shuts the door in your face and tells you to get lost. One of the worst things I could have ever done is bring my JetSki to Marks watercraft in Napa California. I consider getting a lawyer and taking Mark to court ,what am I going to get a judgment I mean the guy doesn't have anything he uses used parts on people's jet skis so I thought this would be more effective and cost efficient. I tried many times and called him and told mark , you need to look over the ski maybe you overlooked something , he refused, don't understand how somebody like this shop is open. When I brought in my ski it ran $3600 later sits in my front yard broken. Stay away from this guy unless you want to donate money and have a broken ski.. Still cannot believe how unprofessional mark is and he acts like he's doing you a favor when your paying $90 an hour to fix your ski, something is really not right about this guy read more

Mark is the man. All I can say is when I walk away from his shop with my great running ski's I'm very very happy. I have brought mark a few CL buys and he has taken a lot of time to ensure my skis are running great. He has always taken the time to explain all the nuts and bolts to the work I'm having done. I have not had a ski break down on me since bringing them to mark. Let the master do his work and you will have a great time on the water. The man knows his skis and everybody should give him a call. It's not a fancy shop but all the greatness goes into experience and talent in building you a great running machine. Don't let a fancy showroom win you over!!!! It's quality of work that matters when your on the water. Do you want to remember some fancy guy with a funny haircut when your sitting on a broken ski on the water or Mark the jet ski man when your doing laps on your friends with a great running machine. Ill keep going back... Great prices too. This is somebody that loves ski's and only wants people to have a great ski and enjoy riding them on the water more then taking your money.
