I love my RV. It has all the features I want for the price I paid, and a layout that really maximizes the space in the way I like, even with all the years behind it. Unfortunately the roof needed a proper resurfacing. After a summer rain where I hadn't covered it, some water managed to seep into the interior and damaged the chassis and overhead cab. I couldn't leave it like this, so I looked around for someone to help me decide whether the roof was repairable or needed to be replaced. I called Coachworks and, after a brief chat with Greg we setup an appointment to meet. When you arrive you drive your RV past the Aled Auto entrance and down the driveway to an open area a few vehicles away from his shop near the back. Greg took a look and identified numerous significant issues that needed attention, several I hadn't noticed before. Wood rot, rusted surfaces, holes, leaks, and other damaged places on the exterior. We walked through all the issues, and he said they could be fixed or easily replaced. We spent most of the brief appointment discussing the roof. He helped me be sure I was making a decision I wouldn't regret, and I decided a PVC roof was the best option. It'll probably outlast the RV itself, is easiest of the options to repair later, and it was a reasonable price that didn't break the bank. It took a while to get back, but it had been a busy time with so many losing houses to wildfires and others trying to get away during covid lockdown. I wasn't in much of a hurry. When we reviewed the changes I was impressed with how thorough Greg had been repairing the roof issues. He also confirmed that the RV weathered a few rain storms while he was testing it with no issues. The canvas awning had been falling apart but it has all new components and it works like new! One of Greg's specialties is finding pieces from other RVs to fit, because many of these RV businesses don't make replacements for long. I immediately took my renewed camper out to a site to test out. When I arrived the fan and A/C weren't working, even though they did before I left! It's useful to check systems at each stage of you trip, so you can troubleshoot later. I asked Greg about this and he had me drop it by. He climbed into the ceiling and found that a large plug had simplify disconnected, and another wire had been fraying apart. I recall the trip to that site was excessively rough, and was probably the cause. Thanks again to Greg for finding and repairing it to help me feel whole. I've taken several trips and had a great time since. No rain damage - even after a major storm - and I'm also enjoying the reinforced and modernized component upgrades. read more

Greg Seems to be nice but doesn't care about anything other then money. I took my 20' passport trailer, l needed my refrigerator serviced and roof resealed . The refrigerator failed on my next trip and my roof leaked because he did not do what I payed for.I had to replace the bed and the plywood under it, the outer skin delaminated and ruined my reseal value because of his incompetence not to mention ruining the vacation that we were on.He added a shelf and did not do it right either.. Greg does not stand by his work. I'm not generally one to hang a negative review on someone, and it actually saddens me to do so, but Greg basically ruined our RV. Worse still, he was petty, unprofessional, utterly unhelpful, and verbally abusive when the deficiencies in his work were brought to his attention. Greg is possessed of a shockingly bad attitude. Imagine paying thousands of dollars to have your rig waterproofed and sealed by Greg, only to find, a few days after he hurried you to move your RV from his shop, a stream of water running across and warping a brand new floor, air so moldy it makes you gag, and puddles of water all across the dash and leaking into the wiring beneath causing shorts all over your electrical system. Mistakes happen, right? Oversights, etc.? We contacted him in good faith, several times, hoping he would help make things right. He did nothing but yell at a pregnant woman and claim, against all evidence, that there was no issue with his work. He did this by inventing exceptions to the job he was hired to do or simply denying reality (up to and including an active leak from the top of the windshield he charged us to seal!). He refused to do any further work for us, refused to offer us a partial refund, and left us with no recourse but to pursue legal remedies. Greg is dishonest, lacks integrity, and respects neither his customers nor the property they entrust him with. Avoid this disgruntled man. read more

The cabinet of my Chinook RV was falling off the wall and I was in Yellowstone. I was so concerned that it would fall off, so I called around to see who could help me when I got home in Santa Rosa, and no other companies answered the phone or were taking new business. Igor was able to see me the very afternoon I was back. He also noticed my smoke, propane and carbon dioxide alarms were very old and replaced them for me, all work done for a reasonable fee. He was GREAT! You can be sure we'll be back to have him do any other work for us, a real craftsman and a great guy. read more

Greg did an amazing job with new BayStar RV. He replaced the floor, carpeting, bathroom cabinets and splash guard, shower door. He also installed new stereo and backup camera, including custom fabricating cabinets to house the amp and speakers. Beware of the cantankerous pit viper that runs this rip-off shop. Greg the Grump expects his customers to kiss his clenched heiny, while he works at a snail's pace for simple jobs and charges a hefty hourly. Not only does he disregard initial quotes, or the importance of honoring his word, he'll peer down at you with hateful conceit and respond with venomous condescension when you have logical questions or express concerns. Not satisfied with his sloppy, half-measured work? Don't expect any goodwill on his part, he'll just make it someone or something else's fault and quote you another bundle to fix the thing you initially hired him for. If you're cowed down sufficiently to continue bleeding your bank account in his favor, don't expect the work done any time soon. It could take at least a handful of months as he prioritizes his customers based on how deep their pockets are. If you enjoy giving your money to someone who treats you like a yappy dog he'd like to kick, and repeatedly demonstrates zero respect for your point of view, feel free to fling your money into the abyss as he rolls his eyes about how much of a favor he is doing you by extracting your money. I deeply regret rewarding the atrocious behavior of this self-impressed handyman. I'd happily drive a hundred miles to have the work done on my rig professionally and avoid any additional interactions with this toxic personality. Think I'm being a little mean? Try spending $2500 to have your rig professionally waterproofed before the rainy season hits, have your appointment unceremoniously cancelled and rescheduled at the last minute forcing your rig to sit for three months, mostly uncovered at his shop during the wettest part of the year. When you reach out to express concerns about water damage receive a response that is rude and combative. Then, have your rig fill with water from multiple points creating extensive damage to newly installed hardwood floors, find your closet saturated with water and mold, and discover puddles formed on the dash from a leak created by his improper sealing job on the windshield. To top it all off, realize that upon inspection of his attempt to seal the body, that he sealed some windows and not others, sealed some seams and not others, removed old seams and not others, smeared caulk on the body of your RV, and left multiple seems naked and completely open to water intrusion. Truthfully, after hiring this guy for multiple jobs and giving him thousands of dollars of my hard-earned money, I've come to the conclusion that Greg simply didn't like answering to a woman, it made him gnash his grindy, smoke-stained little teeth. He decided he was done being accountable regardless of whether or not he'd completed the task I hired him to perform. He's exactly the kind of person that gladly defecates where he eats due to woeful deficits in his worldview. read more

Honestly I have never had a better experience with any RV repair work and, unfortunately, I've experienced a lot of it over the years. Travelling from out of state we developed a plumbing leak in a practically brand new coach. Greg worked us in on short notice and worked long hours and through some problems to get the repairs finished and us back on the road. By far the most conscientious, knowledgeable, and helpful RV repair tech I have ever worked with.
