After reading the bad reviews of my beloved surgeon, I was shocked. People stating that he's arrogant and cold and not caring is the farthest from the truth. Dr. Movassaghi is a brilliant, confident, kind, and caring man. He takes pride in what he does and is well versed in the current data and research for his field of practice. If he seems arrogant, it's his striking confidence based on his profound years of research and practice in the medical field. He's a Harvard grad for gosh sake!
How could he not always have 5 star reviews for him, maybe it's because people like me are too sensitive and shy to post their experience with a plastic surgeon on a public site, and the ones that do have had rare experiences that didn't meet perfect outcomes. When you have anything done to alter your body for cosmetic or medical reasons like my own, you should keep in mind that surgeons cannot guarantee perfection every time. Everyone's healing and body dynamics is different and can play such a diverse role is the healing process.
I can attest to his knowledge and skill, I myself work in the medical field and have high standards of the care I receive.
The staff should be called his team, better yet, family. They work closely alongside Dr. M to ensure that from the moment a client enters through those doors they are greeted and treated with kindness and respect. They offer discretion and professionalism all the while treating you like their top priority. I have never been excited for doctor office visits until I entered through those doors, where I'm greeted and treated Like the most important person in that room.
Everyone should take into account that any surgery comes with risks, but it's the surgeon that stands beside you through those risks, in your moment of fear is what you need.
I had a long medical journey, with Dr. M. He explained and educated me on my options and then explained the road it would take to get there. He was smart, confident, respectful and caring toward me.
I have a fragile body and immune system, I had severe episodes of vomiting and skin healing due to my long list of allergies, and every step of the way he was available on the phone, spoke to ER doctors and urgent care doctors and helped guide my care in the recovery process post op. He alleviated my fears and calmed my anxiety's all the while making sure I had the best outcomes possible.
Something that I'll never forget is that during this pandemic, I was not aloud to have family sit with me before surgery. This led me to feel anxious and full of fear, even after calming medication, I felt scared right before they gave the anesthesia to me on the operating table, he could see tears welling up in my eyes , he was not required to, and didn't have to, but he took a break from the OR set up and walked over to the other side of the table and placed my hand in his hand. I held it tight and squeezed it as I received my anesthesia and drifted off.
That is not a cold arrogant surgeon! That's a human being seeing the fear, weakness and vulnerability of a grown woman and attempted to alleviate her fear, and for that I'll be forever grateful.
After two surgeries by Dr. M, and 9 months of care, I can say I would never trust anyone else with my body for the rest of my life! read more
