Kitten and Pinky - Vietnamese Near Me - Pacifica, California

We were sad to see Bunny close, but thought we'd try the new place out! We got a tofu Banh Mi and the tofu spring rolls. Both were good, but we thought the Banh Mi had great (and perfectly warm/toasty) bread as well as very flavorful pickled veggies. The tofu used in both things we got was also tasty; thinner and with chewier texture (in a good way). We'll be back, especially since it's walking distance! read more

I absolutely love the vegan sandwich! Best tofu bahn me I have ever had. The owners are incredibly nice and friendly. Quick service and fair prices. read more

Decent Vietnamese food! Happy to have them in Pacifica! I especially like their vermicelli bowls -- plenty of meat, noodles, and vegetables. Owner family is very nice, they seem like they really want to take care of their customers. read more

Friendly mom-and-pop place that was perfect after a hike. We got two banh mis, chicken and BBQ pork, and both were excellent. Will definitely keep this place in mind when we're passing through or in Pacifica. read more

We were in town on a trip to Pacifica and some friends recommended we get sandwiches at Kitten and Pinky. Wow! We were not disappointed. The banh mi was the best I've ever had. The bread is fresh, crusty, and perfect. We had the BBQ pork - it was stuffed with a super generous portion of flavorful meat - and the vegan banh mi - filled with delicious marinaded tofu. Both were packed on top with fresh jalapeños, cilantro, and the carrots. The owner was so incredibly kind, and when he saw we were planning to eat our sandwiches on the bench outside, he carried out a table and stools to place in front of it for us to have for our sandwiches. It was such a special lunch. Will definitely be coming back again and again. read more

Love their vegan-friendly sandwiches and vegan rolls. Can't go wrong with their super strong Vietnamese iced coffee. Also the staff is so nice! read more

We have been living in the area for the last 3 years and never came across this place but we were glad we did. We've had the rice plates and sandwiches and have not been disappointed at all. The egg rolls and fresh rolls are as good as any place you can find. The prices on all their items are extremely reasonable. Where can you find a rice plate for $8 anymore? Here! If your in the area and want good Vietnamese food please come here and support this family local business. If your looking for an extensive menu, this isn't the place. read more

A hidden gem! Authentic Vietnamese food. Small menu and everything is fresh and yummy. The owners are very nice people and the place is clean and cozy. read more

The food is delicious, clean and reasonably priced. The atmosphere Is positive and welcoming. It's a gem.

Great classic vietnamese sandwiches and bun. The bread is fresh, soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside. I've even gone just to buy their bread when making curry at home. read more

Everything here is always delicious. Good prices, fast and friendly service. I usually get banh mi or vermicelli and they never disappoint!

I really wanted to like this place - reviews were good and the couple is very sweet. However, I was underwhelmed with the food. Ordered the Pork sandwich and the meat did not taste very fresh. There was barely any meat in my sandwich and it was a little tough. I've had similar sandwiches at other places and thought these were just meh. I would try again though and maybe order something else. read more

Here's a great date idea for you: on a Sunday morning grab your significant other, come to Kitten and Pinky and grab really delicious fresh ban mi, and bring them to the beach. Boom you're welcome. read more

Food is fresh and delicious. Portions are generous I love the vegan sandwich. It's so big I only think I'll eat half. But it tastes so good, I always ear the whole thing. Even my meat eating friends think it tastes so good they prefer it over meat! I took a friend who couldn't eat gluten. He loved the cabbage salad (he substituted tofu for the chicken). read more

Had the Vietnamese sandwich here. For everyone else mentioning it's no Bunny, they are definitely right. For me it's all about the bread and their bread was just ok. The rest of the sandwich was ok too. Not bad grabbing a sandwich and walking over to the water but is definitely a step down from Bunny. Friendly staff and quick service. read more

I've now been to this restaurant twice in the last two months and both times the food was delicious. The service is quick and efficient. The portions are large and the quality is very good. Both times we eaten the pork rolls which were stuffed with meat and vegetables. The pork over rice vermicelli noodles were very good. This restaurant deserves more recognition and I am pleased to give them an excellent review. read more

The Tofu Banh Mi was packed with tofu (maybe a bit too much?) marinade is a bit oily for my taste, but the pickled veggies tasted good (wish there was more of it to make the sandwich more balanced) and the bread was nicely toasted and of high quality. I've had better, but it did the job. Kind service, and filling portions for $9.30 (though the menu lists it for $8.50 for some reason). Being so close to the beach, it's not a bad place to stop by if you are in the mood for a Banh mi with the vibes, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for it. read more

Excellent food, kind service, and great value. What more can you ask for? This is the perfect place to pick up food before heading to the beach. Their bahn mi is absolutely delicious. The meat and veggies are fresh, and the bread is AMAZING. Seriously, it's crispy/crunchy on the outside but beautifully soft in the middle. read more

Been twice, love the roast pork banh mi sandwiches.. Many other sandwich choices. Reasonable prices, parking lot and ample free street parking. read more

OK - this place is AWESOME. I was there yesterday (6.18.22) and had a really enjoyable meal. I felt compelled to give this place a shout out as I read some of the latest reviews. Parking is FINE. There is a small lot - sure but even on the sunniest of bay days you can street park and walk for 30 seconds. no big deal. And if you don't want jelly in your Thai iced tea - just say "I don't want jelly in my Thai iced tea." - and guess what --- no jelly. So the actual review. This place is one of those genuine mom & pop bay area gems that is worth driving from San Francisco to go to. The staff are friendly and really helpful, the service is quick and the food is the freshest you could hope for. I have visited a few times and will often pick up my order to go and then drive to park nearby overlooking the ocean. You can eat indoors and there is one small bench outside. But really the beach / ocean is a short flat walk away. Go look at the Pacific and munch on your Bahn Mi. The BBQ Pork is great (rice bowl or in a sandwich). The Thai ice tea is more creamy that many other places with a nice caffeine kick - really good (and yes no jelly for me...). The Bahn Mi bread is fresh, soft and fluffy with a good crunch crust. Really really good. Lastly, yesterday I had the fresh spring rolls - you get three per order so a really generous size. I would also say that their prices are fair, even inexpensive given the rest of the economy these days, and the size of their portions. Three of us ordered and ate really well for less than $40. GOOD DEAL. Finally - these independently owned entrepreneurs need our support. They are working REALLY hard and doing a REALLY good job. I have no problem giving them my support and money. They really deserve it. Thank you to the staff that work there - lovely people. read more

Amazing food at super affordable prices. I accidentally stumbled upon this place while visiting Pacifica last weekend, and I simply couldn't get their delicious (and super strong) Vietnamese iced coffee and banh mi out of my mind so I drove out again to pick up lunch today. I called ahead to place an order of 4 menu items (chicken rice place, pork and spring roll vermicelli, shrimp papaya salad, and coffee) around 11:15am, and my order was ready in 20 minutes. Can't wait to go back again soon! read more

This might be the thing I miss most about living in Pacifica! I always get the veggie/tofu bahn mi, and it's always the perfect combo of crunchy/tangy/savory/spicy the Thai iced tea is great too, but I've never gone early enough in the day to be able to get boba. Appetizers and desserts have all been equally delicious, and the owners are always so nice! This is the perfect place for dinner after walking around mori point, I can't recommend it enough! read more

The portions are very good, and packed well for take out. Had the vermicelli noodles: rice noodles, salad, mint, peanuts, slightly spicy fish sauce in a container and a chili sauce in a container. We tried #10 - grilled chicken vermicelli and #12 - grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli, each $10.99. The meats were both very flavorful. The egg rolls (2) were delightful, filled with taro and various vegetables. Parking lot in front of restaurant makes it easy to go pick up for take out. read more
