    Lunch specials May 2024
    Diane K.

So glad we went here. The ambiance is nothing special, but the food is VERY special. Every time that I have dined here, the meal was perfect. On this visit, we went for lunch and had one of their specials. The half sandwich and salad was my go-to and I ordered the GIANT ITALIAN. Their half sandwich is more than enough to fill me. It's a $2. extra up charge, but worth every penny. It is so-so-so good. Just Wow!

Quick service and very large portions. It wasn't busy since it was not peak season. The ambiance was casual and laid back.

We were sated quickly and our server was so kind! I ordered the Croque Madam, which was pretty good and very filling, but I wish there was some type of sauce on it 8/10. We also ordered the Pecan Crust French Toast and also pretty good 8/10! I love how the menu had a ton of options and the inside was very nice. I would recommend for a great brunch spot!

This restaurant is nestled in a strip mall and cleanly decorated. We were seated immediately and serviced quickly. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time too. Our other companion also got the pecan French toast (no picture) but found it well done and the pecans good because they were in small pieces. Salmon eggs Benedict was also a hit. The chicken fried steak was the least enjoyed. It was bland with an odd texture. Overall I do believe I would go again but make a different choice.

Brunch was amazing! Coffee was fresh. Bloody Mary was perfect. Service was great. We will eat there again and again.

Just left Margaritaville and we're hungry for breakfast!! Saw Kitchen Tales on Yelp and decided to stop in! We walked in and were greeted with a smile!! It was my husband, me, and our daughter. The host said, "So 2 and 1/2?!?" Thought that was funny and a light way to greet us! Our waiter came right away to take our drink order! Drinks came fast! I got a Bloody Mary. It hit the spot!! It's helpful to read a review if you're looking for a "breakfast drink" to know that they serve a few different options!! The have mimosas and a few specialty drinks for breakfast!! We got our daughter a side of pancakes. I decided on the avocado toast. My husband picked the pulled pork benedict. The pancakes came out hot and fluffy! Absolutely delicious!!! Avocado toast comes with pico. If you don't like onions, please ask for no pico. There is a ton of pico hidden under the eggs so I didn't see that in the pictures. Just a heads up. Chose to get a fried egg on top and it was cooked perfectly!! The potatoes are amazing along with the salsa served on the side!!! Kinda spicy and delicious!! My husband loved his Benedict! The egg was runny and perfect and the crumbled bacon on top was a perfect touch of texture!! Let's just say he made a happy plate!! Overall great atmosphere and love that the whole front of the restaurant is windows!! Great lighting and views!! Not intimate at all if that's what you're looking for. No booths, all chair tables. Good for groups though! We will be back! Come enjoy!!

Please see photo. We ordered thru door dash. This review is all about the quality of the food.

First time trying this place. Big portions on the southwestern omelette. Potatoes very good as well. Supposed to be bacon in the omelette but I couldn't find it taste any at all. Maybe a couple specks? Service was very good and staff polite. I'll be back for another try.

$10 Lunch special: French onion soup and the Giant Italian sandwich - amazing!!
    Geoff R.

I know I've said it before, but this is one of the very best restaurants around - not just along 105 but anywhere north of Houston. One great example is one of the greatest lunch deals ever: for $10 you get soup & salad, or soup & half sandwich - and if you get the French onion soup and the Giant Italian sandwich you'll get two of the best food items anywhere, and more than enough food for anyone at lunch. See the attached picture - the Giant Italian is so big that when you get half for lunch it's as big as a lot of whole sandwiches at other places. Try this, try anything on the menu - you'll never be disappointed.

Monty's Lighthouse - Montgomery, Texas…read more This was my very first visit to Monty's Lighthouse out by Lake Conroe, and it was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. I decided to have a lunch date with my son, and the entire outing felt peaceful, relaxed, and exactly what we needed. The ambience was lovely, the weather was perfect, and the lakeside scenery added that extra touch that makes a meal feel like a moment. I ordered the Seafood Ravioli -- cheese raviolis covered in a rich crab bisque cream sauce with sautéed crawfish tails, shrimp, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and Parmesan. It was absolutely delicious and full of flavor, worth every bit of the $21.99. My son had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with applewood smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, and Cajun honey mustard aioli. He enjoyed it completely, and at $15.49, it was a great portion and value. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food was genuinely good. For a first‑time visit, Monty's Lighthouse made a strong impression. I definitely plan on going back and exploring more of the menu while enjoying that beautiful lakeside view.

I definitely see why this is a favorite amongst the locals and my coworkers party. Patio seating gives a gorgeous view of the water or you can sit inside amongst the many tables and booths available. As for the food, they offer cajun-inspired eats and seafood options here, all of which are quite tasty. They have oysters available along with crawfish if you want to go that avenue. My girlfriend and I kept it simple starting with the stuffed mushrooms, comes with 7 mushrooms stuffed with crab in a butter sauce. Pretty tasty although most of the flavor comes from the sauce. As for entrees, she ordered the cajun pasta while I went with the cajun shrimp cobb salad. The pasta is quite large and rich which suited her. I enjoyed the salad which had all the fixings of a cobb salad; I would've preferred the egg be chopped up but I can't complain. We finished our meal with the bread pudding which was delicious and full of cinnamon and caramel. Apparantly it's their best-selling dessert and I can see why. I noticed they also have live music here on certain days and an expansive happy hour. While this spot is far from where we live, we're definitely open to coming back here to taste other items.

The decor/setup provides a slightly upscale, but still casual, sports bar feel that's family friendly. There are dart boards and various games surrounding the tables but it's all separated appropriately. Tbh this would be a perfect place to watch your sport of choice! The lineup: SOFT SERVE MARGARITA: you read that right & The reason we came here (thanks Instagram!) we got strawberry and it was everything and more I needed it to be. Will be back for this alone. TRUST. although..... I feel like it should've completely filled the glass like it does in the advertisement $9.99 a piece! 100/10 Appetizer: fried pickles spears - YALL. I am soooo picky about fried pickles and these are the best I've had. The pickles were good, crunchy, not overly oily, and stayed together! 12/10 Pickle flatbread: apparently I felt in a pickle escapade mood. Surpringly not over pickly and delicious. I would absolutely get this again. The crust was soft and cheese was melty! 9/10 Fish tacos: average. The chipotle sauce was a bit spicy. Don't know that I would get these again. 5/10 Fries I could skip, not my fave. The street corn was so good, though I wouldn't consider it traditional &! A bit heavy on the red onion, but I enjoyed it! Their sauces were all so good! The prices were fair & I feel like the amount I paid was relative to what I had, so kudos to management for that! Last but certainly not least, Prestyn, our server was great and hilarious. We truly enjoyed her & her jokes! PS - Girl, you and your name are beautiful! The hostess seated us promptly but noticed after a few minutes that we hadn't been greeted yet, so she came back over to check on us, which was super nice and very observant! Our server was wonderful. He came over with a great smile and had some great energy, and was very funny. And shame on me for not remembering his name!!!! But anywho.
