Second time going there and the food just does not taste right! I use to like this place but now every time we go I get sick after leaving there. The fried crabs are the worst, they feel mushy in the middle as if it's old! How disgusting is that? You can see old yellow grease in the fried chicken which is not very appetizing. Idk we just might not go there anymore!! read more

,&,'. It use to be good years ago but has just gone sour. I've given it several tried but each time I go, the bathroom calls my name... 4th time. This place is not good the food was cold and made me sick to my stomach that my opinion bad cooking on every level chicken the fish sorry

Terrible experience for this buffet. Little food on menus. Too salty for fried squid. Service is so bad. There is only man clean up table.

$8.99 for an all you can eat lunch buffet? Even though it might not be the best buffet ever, it's well worth that price. I love buffets and this one is not really all that bad. I like you can sample a lot more foods than you could eating at a regular sit down place. The dinner price goes up to $12.99 as well as on weekends, but I think you get a bigger selection of seafood. The food was all hot when I went at around noon, and that's really the best time to go from 11 to 12:30 or so. The food will be freshest, cause like with all buffets, you just can't expect the food to be freshest and have the best selection when you arrive 30 minutes to closing. I think they close between lunch and dinner. All the normal American Chinese foods are here like pot stickers, egg rolls, fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour pork and General's Tso Chicken. There are some more real Chineasy looking things out too, that I didn't try cause I couldn't tell what it was. Drinks are extra, so just get water if you're being cheap. It a decently large dining room with a good selection of items as well as sushi. Skip the sushi and go with the Chinese food. Service is not the greatest, unless you speak Chinese, but the plates do get cleared. This is an easy place to get lunch or dinner if you're at the Factory Stores here in Vacaville. read more

Anyone can walk into here looking at this as a one star or a five star depending on your previous experiences. There are some foods that I would avoid and some that are just fine. I came here with my husband just to see why the ratings were so low we didn't see it that bad so we stayed & ate. We would not go again unless it was our last resort. One thing I did not like it was when they gave us the bill they tried to charge so much more money than the actual price. We asked them if the tip was included and they said "oh sorry" and took back the bill & changed the correct price... so they might try to sneak one past you. read more

Excellent clean and best I've been to definitely I will go back to Very large selection of food. Service was fine.

King's Buffet - It's a Chinese knockoff of a Chinese restaurant, ran by Chinese... 'Think fast food, kind've like a Chinese McDonald's, it's "Mickey Lee's!" Store front - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kings-buffet-vacaville?select=YL49wkjRAiwi_gY4WGJR8Q#9MvIeuUK9itnXtuFBoLM2g You know that ol' saying, "You get what you pay for?" Well, the same is just as true for the opposite, "You DON'T get what you DON'T pay for." ('And here, there's no doubt, it's the quality.) It's like going to a "fat food" chain, drive thru, and ordering off their $1 menu. What type of USDA Choice, high quality meat do you think you're going to get for a mere $1?... 'Exactly. King's Buffet is no different... Well, with the exception of AYCE and no drive-thru window. Buffet stations - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kings-buffet-vacaville?select=rgIDvGkVJLBrtMkFACS3fQ#Qh46mFxWuxeyKHuQBc366A Many buffets take me back to working on my uncle's farm in Hawai'i, more specifically feeding time where wooden feeding troughs are replaced with silver serving-dishes... 'Slop is slop, whether it's for a sow and her litter or a restaurant full of overachievers. It doesn't matter how much soy sauce you dump into the pan, then it's just overly salty slop. Since we're on the topic of sauces, the only available table top condiments were as follows: 1. "Rooster Sauce" (Sriracha) - Dirty; "When was the last time this was wiped clean?" Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kings-buffet-vacaville?select=YL49wkjRAiwi_gY4WGJR8Q#lt-xnk903LsFM4ypjmTGMw 2. Tapatio (Tapatio?!... 'At a Chinese restaurant?! That's like having wasabi @ In-N-Out Burger!) 3. 'And big surprise!... 'More soy sauce. I'm not bashing King's Buffet for the sake of, just merely reporting the news. I've had my fair share of hole-in-the-wall Chinese spots ranging from Oakland, San Francisco, LA, Garden Grove, and San Diego... So, it's no shock or huge disappointment @ the subpar results. After all, I knowingly walked into King's Buffet being well aware of their very solid, 2 Star rating. "This is broccoli & beef?!" - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kings-buffet-vacaville?select=rgIDvGkVJLBrtMkFACS3fQ#YPonfqiCTJSrUSXYqpaoUA King's Buffet is a lot like Hometown Buffet with an Asian twist. (However, given the choice between the two, I think I would lean more towards Hometown... 'And that says a lot, I'm not a big fan of of HB.) Much of what I saw & sampled was either tofu mushy, or hidden in a ball of deep fried batter... 'Which was drowned in one sauce or another. (Some of it was okay, much of what I had was not.) "It's like eating off the handle of a Walmart shopping basket..." - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kings-buffet-vacaville?select=rgIDvGkVJLBrtMkFACS3fQ#t96DSYzty02oD3dDcq54eQ King's Buffet is one of the first Chinese restaurants that I've been to and found Mexican hot sauce but NO Chinese chili oil or authentic hot mustard... I'm not referring to that small packaged, glow-in-the-dark, yellow, Heinz looking, fake crap. (They had plenty of that.) That pretty much sums up King's Buffet, "It's a Chinese knockoff of a Chinese restaurant ran by Chinese. (Irony - Even the Chinese, make "fake Chinese" food, made right here in the USA.) I was in the mood for some cheap, Chinese fare and King Buffet's did not disappoint. My only hesitation was the aftermath... 'No worries, I had my bottle of Tums on standby. I came alone, figured no one else needed to suffer simply because I was having a craving for cheap Chinese food... After all, we don't need to have more than one person with food poisoning. I arrived a little after 5pm, was seated, took a walk around the buffet stations. I was surprised that the premade sushi had barely been touched... 'Not a very good sign as I wondered how long it had been sitting out. However, I am the adventurous type & that did not sway me from trying it. (Hey! I'm still here!!) Service: Okay; atypical Chinese, hole-in-the-wall vibe; "Hello, how many?... 'Here's your seat. NEXT?!" I seen this restaurant for years off Interstate 80 when I head to Davis and / or Roseville, CA This restaurant is a NO go! - Food: Taste a day old mix with new cooking - Inside Restaurant: Smell of OIL is build up of years of cooking saturated in the carpet and walls. Experts say you can always judge a restaurant by the restroom. I suggest go inside and see it yourself (hand writing of signs to remind employees to wash hands, flush toilet only once, and no writing on wall) - Price: Lunch is $8.99 & Dinner is $12.99 - What you can eat: Seafood, Meats, Veggies (American Salad), Sushi, and Fruits. I will say they have a huge selection of FOOD then your typical Chinese Restaurants like Lee's in Richmond, Moon Star in Daly City or Nomi / Todai in Concord......I rather go to those locations then here..... Surprisingly my stomach took the food! I was scared I would need to take a number 2, but did not....... read more

There seems to be this sad trend where when a Chinese Buffet first opens it actually tastes good (not great) and everyone's eating there... a year or 2 later it goes down hill and its just plain nasty! Back in 2005 or so this place was poppin' and I actually enjoyed it. Fast forward to last week... ugh, EVERYTHING looked like it was either sitting there or was left overs from last night. I'm sorry but I just can't eat here anymore. The End. read more

MAN! I spend like a halfhour tryna crack open their crab legs & separating the meat into a bowl...drizzled some lemon juice on the meat & thinking it was gonna taste pretty good..only to find out that its like biting into SALT! Uggghs, my time was wasted. I was very disappointed to the max. && they smelled kinda funky too This buffet is pretty typical, greasy chinese food you'd see @ other chinese buffets, nothin special. But this place is definitely a step up from TIN TIN buffet. The service here kinda sucks, the workers seem to have no facial expression. This place is also expensive on the weekends. I busted out $15 on a saturday for average quality, nothin' fancy food. I could have dined out at Fuji's in Davis or Todai instead of this place for way better quality food & for cheaper!! but it was my friend's bday lunch so yeah. The fried food is good here and the ice cream is good, but I rather hit up another place than this... read more

Do not eat here!!! Horrible food and dirty and worn down restaurant. I took my mom here out of convenience because she was having problems with her blood sugar and we had to find something fast. The food was cold horrible tasting and somethings were undercooked including the cream cheese wontons were not cooked. We seriously got ill after eating here. I rarely complain about places I eats because I believe restaurants should get a second chance but this is ridiculous. I complained to the manager as I paid for our food and they still charged us. She didn't even apologize! STAY AWAY! read more

We came at around 1pm-2pm, all the food still looked fresh. We sat down and ordered our drinks, I was like, "Cool! So far, so good!" Looked around the area, seems outdated. Went up and got food my basic go to dishes: Chow Mein, Orange Chicken & Cream Cheese Wontons--was I disappointed. The food was warm and tasted re-cooked. There wasn't enough of Cream Cheese more wrapper. The only safe bet was the sesame ball. They only serve one flavor soft serve. At the end, there's cute nicknacks to buy at the register. King's Buffet - Won't make the mistake of eating here during lunch again. $16.55 for one person? - Chinese Near Me - Vacaville, California

Went here for my husband's dinner birthday. We all liked it! Pros: Amazing selection of seafood.... Crab, octopus, mussels, crawfish, salmon, oysters, shrimp (many varieties), etc. Seafood selection was better than any other Chinese buffet I've been to. They have a wide variety of food, salads and desserts to choose from. Most of it was delicious. Wish I could have eaten more! The price is reasonable (only $15.99 for dinner). Cons: Some of the food was a bit overcooked or bland (especially the whole shrimp with skin on). They did not have any sushi or Mongolian BBQ as advertised online or at the restaurant. The service was just okay. Kind of old and dingy inside. Overall, I would recommend this place because of the price and most of the food (especially the seafood)! read more

I have been visiting this buffet for the past 5 years and as each year goes by, the "passion" displayed by the owner and staff seem to be dying down. Food: I'm not a huge fan of seafood like my mom and aunt/uncle so I tend to gravitate towards the chinese food. As usual the food is lukewarm almost cold and they don't seem to bring new food out at all. Service: The wait staff have been pretty good even though they have change continuously for the past 5 years. They come by every so often to pick up the empty plates and ask us if we want refills for our drinks. Though the wait staff isn't bad, the food itself takes away all the stars. read more

This place definitely needs to be spruced up. The booths are ragged and seats are torn up. The bathrooms are well worn. That being said it was pretty crowded. I walked around and scoped out the food and was not impressed. It looked like crap quite honestly. I grabbed a little bit, a tiny bit, of a few things that sounded good (not looked good). Got back to the table and ate, and I'll be damned if the food wasn't decent. Nothing was great. It was all decent. Fried rice looked terrible. Hmm, it's decent. Various chicken and beef dishes... hmm, decent. Desserts? All decent. All looked terrible. All tasted ok. Service was good. Felt they cleared plates and filled drinks quickly. Many were looking at cell phones most of the time, but it didn't seem to impede the service. Overall, this place was about as average as they come. The price is a little steep for what it is, but my buddy and I have been wanting to try it for a few years and finally did. Honestly not sure if I'm happy we tried it or not though. read more

We found this place while travelling between sacramento and vallejo and quickly decided it was the absolute best chinese buffet for miles around. We like it so much we make the trip from vallejo just to come here. The food was always hot -which seems to be a rarety at chinese buffets in these parts- and the service was nice despite the server occasionally never offering refills. The food is always presented well. In my mind this is a 4 star dinner for its class. It could be 5 if they found a way to improve the bathrooms. BUT Im not sure what has happened but today everything is cold. There is no steam coming up from any of the warmers. You can even touch the metal trays and not get burned. It isnt even uncomfortable. The food is either dried out or soggy. Im worried that our favorite little restaurant may be heading down the path of empire buffet in vallejo. PLEASE NO! If i want cold food and diarrhea ill just eat there. Im only dropping the star by one and ill be back. Im hoping this was just a fluke today. It is tuesday and we stopped in about 530pm. When i return agaim i will surely amend this review read more

After shopping at the outlet mall, were looking for a place where we could grab something quick to eat before heading home. There we found this restaurant. It was a typical Chinese buffet with sushi and Mongolian BBQ. The sushi pieces were OK but, of course, not of the quality of a sushi restaurant. We did not try the Mongolian BBQ. The Chinese buffet dishes were OK. Not great. I think we lucked out in that there was a party of about 100 people. For that reason, they kept the food coming. For us, the best for our lunch there was the deserts. Will probably return if we are in the area again and need to grab a bite quickly; but not craving for fast foods read more

Food is mediocre. Typical Chinese, Japanese, seafood selection. Mongolian BBQ looked better, but I did not try it myself. We had unwelcome guests in the form of flies hovering around our table. Price for adults is $12.99, which does not include drinks. $1.10 for drinks with refill. Was completely turned off by having to pay 1.00 for a two year old. Location is convenient off of I-80. The food was not worth what we paid. Service was also poor. Doubt we will eat here again. read more

Hard to believe this was (once) a great chinese buffet place. Well, make no mistake about it. This place is NOT what it once was. While the actual building (outside and inside) is OK, the food is very suspect. Very few items are appetizing, to the sight. And most of the fish dishes are just gross-smelling (even the oysters). Some of the chinese dishes looked "tired" and drawn. The veggies had wilted and the meats/chicken/pork, looked old. Safe items were soups (but most were low/needed to be refilled), appetizers (sumai/pot stickers and spring rolls) but not the fried shrimp (were cold and tasteless). Salad is hard to do wrong, so this was OK. I had the "krab salad" (surimi, fake crab) was OK but it was 'warm' instead of cold. I think the heating and refrigeration needs lots of work. This would solve most of the food issues (keeping warm/hots foods this way and refrigerating the cold ones). I think this would help immensely with how the food looks. Taste is another thing, however. I don't know who cooks most of this buffet but he/she should be ashamed of themselves. Most items were tasteless. I did not have any dessert. That looked OK. Service was acceptable (clearing dishes and keeping your drinks full). This is the only thing worth it here. And the pricing has increased. It's now $13.25 for dinner. Which, under ordinary circumstances would be fine. But the food, selection and service is NOT worth this price. Keeping all of what I said before, this buffet should be much closer to $10. Even at the older pricing ($12.99), this is still too much. The owners here should either lower prices (based on the lack of QUALITY of the food), or try to purchase a better quality of food they offer and charge what they are charging. Otherwise, you'd be much better off going somewhere else. This is an awful buffet. I'd travel to another city for better buffet. read more
