Food is ok, not much variety. Service is horrible. They give the bills before you ask for them, while you still eat, and then just come every one minute to check if you paid. Did it to us and other tables while the restaurant wasn't even full. read more

God the food here was awful. If I could add a minus in front of my review and make it -1 I would. If ur gonna come here, do ur self a favor and just don't, just don't. The only thing I found good in this restaurant was the pudding. Just don't come here. My review would be -1 read more

Arrived at 11:30, right before the lunch rush. The buffet was well stocked and presented. Everything tasted as it should and wasn't over cooked. Easy to eat Keto here if that's your goal. Love the amount of hot food choices. They didn't have much as far as a salad bar but I don't think many other people are eating salad here. Will be coming back again soon. read more

Really bad. Egg rolls skin was half raw. Very bland, soup was mostly corn starch so very thick and gooey. Not with the price! read more

Wish we had read the reviews before being seated. Surely Sterling can do better than this.... Food is bland, cold and greasy. The roast duck was visually unappealing as were many other dishes. Don't even get me started on the "fresh" oysters and sushi. Even the fortune cookies were stale. Service was non-existent. Sorry, but as affluent as this area of the state is, this business can do better. read more

Food was very bland and not a great selection. Saw a waitress sanitizing her gloved hands. Food was not fresh. Asked the hostess when was a fresh batch of fried rice coming out because the rice on the buffet was hard. Host stated "When that runs out." My kids was also not very pleased with the food. We left and went to McDonald's. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! Kids will be charged based on height and not age. My 10 year old daughter is 5 ft but they charged her adult price because they claimed that she was to tall. They also have horrible service and employees are extremely rude. I called for a manager but they said that they didn't know where they were. The food was also not fresh and it was cold. I don't recommend this place and I feel like a big mac from mcdonald's is way better than this! read more

I will never ever go there again . Went there yesterday around 5pm. After I left? I had stomachaches.

I love this place and look forward to coming here once a week. Dont let the upscale Karen and Chad reviews bring you down. This buffet is awesome.. but if you're exceedingly posh and demanding, you'll find fault with its humbleness. Buffets are like horses.. you stare at them too long you're going to find something wrong Just saddle up your plate with the best buffet Sterling VA has read more

Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleased by the large buffet selection and ample seating area. My opinions quickly changed. Although the buffet selection was large, the food itself was not very appealing. The filling of the crab Rangoon tasted like it had spoiled, the crawfish was horrible, and almost every item I tried was barely edible. I gave up on the dinner buffet and moved on to dessert hoping I'd find something to eat. There wasn't even fresh fruit. The pineapple was canned chunks and was a strange color. The eclairs were soggy and still in the plastic they were stored in when they were bought. Even the soft serve was horrible. It tasted like watery frozen vanilla icing. It was horrendously sweet and didn't taste anything like any icecream I've ever had.The lo mein was decent, but it's a hard dish to mess up. The bathrooms were completely disgusting. The floors were wet and covered with puddles, and smelt like urine. My husband said that the male bathrooms were in the same condition. Conclusion: There are definitely better restaurants to pay $12.50+/person at, and at least the food will be edible. Perhaps we went on a bad day, but we will never be going back. read more

Kings Buffet - Chinese Near Me - Sterling, Virginia

There are lots of options and the food is a good price for all you can eat. The food is hit or miss for the different items. Some are not as hot as they should be, but everyone found something they liked. A good buffet for the price. read more

Honestly, I've been here since I was a kid, memories of coming here instead of going to school when I was sick, happy Friday dinners, etc. the only thing I can eat excessively is the salt and pepper crab. It's a Chinese buffet Exclusive. Its taste is so good, you can't get enough even though you have no idea what unhealthy things are in it. When I last came here, the hot and sour soup tasted very bland, the Mac and cheese was added with too much sugar so it was more sweet mac and cheese than just cheese. The restaurant selection is ok, for a good price. What else I noticed was the garlic bread sitting out with too much, which then turns hard and cold after a while, I suggest maybe putting out 5 at a time instead of 10-more manageable when throwing out. Good selection of regular Chinese food, the rest is kinda not in my taste range. read more

The service was bad They got mad for not leaving a big tip and the food was not even good

1 1/2 Stars. Yeah, this place is pretty terrible. My boss likes it so I go, but I am never thrilled about it which is odd because Chinese is HANDS DOWN my favorite food. I've probably eaten here five times and I couldn't find a single thing on the buffet that I actually liked other than the Lo Mein which on a scale of 10 I'd give a 3, even their fried rice is terrible. Oh, and this place will make you REEK like disgusting fish and oil. After lunch, you can smell it on you all day long. In fact, it is so strong that other people will comment on it when you return to the office. Want a great Chinese buffet? Head to Royal Buffet in Herndon, it is only about 5 minutes away. read more

This experience was beyond disappointing. My mom likes going to buffets so we wanted to try this place out since people had posted pictures of blue crab there. When we got there they were able to seat us right away. But our tables were incredibly sticky, I had to use some baby wide to wipe down the table again. When we went over to the buffet it seems as though the main meat served there was chicken. They had salt and pepper chicken, chicken w/ broccoli, honey chicken. General Sao chicken. Fried chicken, BBQ chicken, and many more other chicken dishes. The only seafood they had was two different types of fish, steamed crayfish, shrimp with the head still on, cocktail shrimp, mussels and some sort of baked seafood (it says crab meat but if you look it's imitation crab, which is fish). The only beef dish was bbq beef shank and it was extra tough and chewy. All the different chicken I had was either over salted or dry. To say the least, our meal was not enjoyable and priced higher than other Chinese AYCE. Also my mother was not happy they didn't have a senior citizen discount. Mediocre food at best and everything seemed extremely old and dirty. we will not be returning to this establishment. read more

Price? For $11-somethingish per person for a buffet dinner on a weekend, hard to top. In terms of quality, very easy to top. There are 3 stations of food and 2 rows of food per station. However, even though there are 6 rows of food in total, I would say only 4 or so "count" b/c the last 2 rows are fruits and desserts. In terms of entrees, there's a range of americanized Chinese food like general tsao's chicken and some straight-up American food like mac & cheese. There are a few selections of soups like hot and sour soup, and some Chinese dim sum selections. There is some seafood selection. Don't expect crab or lobster, but you'll find crayfish, clams, raw oysters, and some deep fried shrimp, amongst others. At nicer buffets, spills along the countertop are quickly wiped up by the staff. Not so here. The spills near the soups stayed there all evening. Some of the dishes looked more freshly made. Others, like the chow mein and even the mac and cheese, looked like they've been sitting sadly in their respective spaces for a while. There is one small dish of sushi, and it's mainly avocado rolls. There is no sushi chef, no teppenyaki grill where you pick from a selection of raw meat/veggies and have it cooked behind the counter, no pho or soup noodles. The restrooms were somewhat clean... I spotted a dirty diaper on the ground in the stall but at least it was...wrapped up? There was toilet paper and paper towels, I'll grant you. The food wasn't particularly bad but it wasn't something I'd come back for either. Don't expect top quality here. Rather, come here if your main factors are a location close to you or the price. read more

Many of the complaints seem to be from people who misunderstood what this place is. Yes, the pictures on yelp are misleading. This is a Chinese buffet. They do have some seafood, but it is not a seafood buffet. The food quality will be based on how busy they are; if you come when it's busy, the food will get eaten fast and will therefore be pretty fresh. If you come when it's empty, expect to be a little disappointed by food that's been sitting there for a while. Also expect to find more premium options at dinner time. There are very few places in the area you can go for a buffet these days, and their prices are quite reasonable. If you don't like the idea of buffets, or you are looking for a high end restaurant, this is not your place. If you want to fill up on a variety of foods at a reasonable price and bring the family, this place is great! read more

This buffet was so so. They have your typical Chinese buffet dishes (beef and broccoli, orange chicken, etc.)They also have small fried crabs, which I guess is a bonus for seafood lovers. It gets really busy especially on the weekends. Everything is pretty clean though and the staff has always been friendly and quick to pick up used plates. The dessert table is definitely more fruit than sweets, just fyi. Overall, King's Buffet is average in my opinion. Not bad but not somewhere I crave to go back to. read more

Just had switched to "dinner time" at 3, but all of the dinner food was cold. Literally every single thing. Noodles, chicken, broccoli. All cold. Plates dirty. Staff doesn't greet, check in. And when we complained they gave 10%. We sat for maybe 20 minutes. Would never eat here again. Or recommend to anyone ever. read more

1. Waiters are rude 2. Steak was tough and tasted like rubber 3. Reprimanded for not tipping (keep in mind this restaurant is self-serve) 4. I just called the buffet after seeing the photos of crabs. NO, they do not have crabs!!!! Glad I called! Update the website please.

Wow who even rated this 2 stars or more? I'm not that picky about food but Skip this place. Also, my husband and I ate here with our kids under 10- it was $52. It's better to actually just get 2 trustworthy meals and split them. Most of the seafood wasn't good enough to have more than the tiniest nibble, if you were daring enough. I ended up with the rice and chicken options because they seemed safer but at the end of the day- the veggie noodles may have been the best. Sushi was old looking and just no. Hot & sour soup gross. We wanted to like this place - the staff was nice. But we just hope we don't get sick from our meal later. My husband loves sweets and won't have the dessert. That says a lot. And when the backdoor opened to the employee smoking outside, it smelled like the table next to us had someone smoking right at the table. The smell was strong and it lingered. I wish we went somewhere else... read more

My daughter and I decided to have a late night Sunday dinner at Kings buffet this week. We used to come here all the time when I lived nearby, but haven't been here in well over a decade. It was very busy and bustling with people and employees. The aroma and savory smells upon walking in were wonderful. I was happy to see that there is a full bar now. The food selection was vast, especially the seafood! Everything stayed stocked full and did not run out. All of the food was hot and fresh! There were plenty of servers to take care of us and we never needed for anything. The best part was that when I got my bill it was HALF of what I was expecting to pay. I typically don't feel that I get my moneys worth in a buffet situation, but this time I definitely feel it was a great value. The only reason I took away one star is because the crab I chose had a very strong smell and taste of ammonia. Not sure what that was about. I think I will return again definitely sooner than last time!!!! read more

I really enjoy this place. Go for dinner--they have more options. They prep the food well. The oysters were not done the best but that is fine. They are always bringing out fresh dishes. Girl working the front desk was very nice. Was able to quickly and efficiently order my food by messaging the restaurants Facebook page. Great service and the meal was ready on the dot. Food was great and containers were packed to the brim. Can't wait to order more. read more

I wouldn't eat here ever again. There is better quality food for the same prices elsewhere. The food is gross, not fresh, and you will probably get food poisoning. I guarantee the health inspector would have a field day here. It was horrible watching other families there feed their kids this food. This place should be shut down. Even their soda is flat, their water is gross, the food just sits out, everything you touch is sticky, eww! read more

I only give them 2 stars, 1 for service and 1 for playing the music I like. If rating the food, the stars go negative. Went there after shopping in Dulles Town Center. Got fast seating and the people there were fast on cleaning out your dishes. Other than the service, if you are expecting at least decent quality of food, then AVOID IT. The food there were too oily, lame tasting, and not fresh. I tried there egg drop soup and seafood soup and let me tell you my facial expression changed instantly because the tastes were soooo bad!!! I also tried their crabs, shrimps, squids...most their stuffs and there was not even one thing that i felt like at least accepting. At the end of this meal I almost felt like running out. It totally destroyed my appetite. read more

I spent my latchkey childhood eating the dinners made by my best friend's Chinese mother. When we were old enough to drive, our friendship was firmly rooted in the idea of making ourselves sick at buffets. We were fatties, the ladies didn't love us because of it (and maybe a few other reasons)... but at least we'd always have the food. Maybe that's why I give Kings a completely unreasonable 4 stars. 25 years later we're still friends, not the fatties we once were and AFAIK the only ones who will support each other's guilty pleasure. Make no mistake, the place is pretty dingy and the food is fairly greasy. Somehow, it manages to be good in such a way that makes us go the few times a year we figure out a way to get together. The food is good Bad Chinese and that appeals to us. There are definitely things I wouldn't eat with someone else's mouth, but there are others like the Butter Shrimp and Pork Dumpling that I just can't get enough of. Kings fills a need and I appreciate that. read more

Hey $11 a person...sure why not. I come here whenever I crave my Chinese food fix. Now keep in mind, for them to dish out sooo much food, they've developed a easy alteration based seasoning. What this means is, the food tends to start tasting the same after a few dishes. You start ignoring your taste buds to judge the quality of the food, but rather use a visual and audible approach for results. Service is great. A little too great. I tend to go during the evening hours in hopes of getting a taste of every item they have to offer. Around this time, this place has quite a few patrons dinning in. The servers seem to transform into a hawk like presence. They beam every so cautiously at you for an opportunity to clear a dish, refill a drink, help usher you out with your bill so the next person can be seated. I don't know, maybe its just me. I leave with a bit of a chill down my spine at the end of my service. I always look cautiously over my shoulder as I head to my car in the parking lot to see if they're peering through the window or behind a statue at me. read more

This place is more like a 2.5 star rating. Initially this Chinese buffet was the go to spot for my wife and I. However, it seems as though the quality of food of this place hasn't gotten much better since we first started coming. They are pretty good at keeping the buffet area stocked, but the taste of the food isn't always the best so at times you are forced to get something else or wait for a new batch, which may not taste that much better. There do have some food items that I enjoy alot, and are my go to items when I go. But for some reason they can't seem to keep the taste of the food consistent between batches. Some batches taste better. Not sure why that is though. (:-/) Also there desserts aren't that great either I typically just stick to their vanilla ice cream which I do feel is pretty good. This place is no longer our goto place when it comes to chinese buffets, it's more of a last resort for us. Will we ever come back to this place you might ask? And my response might be, sure if nothing else is open. read more
